Chapter 1: Meetings
“Password?” a girl's voice hissed from behind a gigantic oak door, leading into a small mansion, in the middle of the woods.
“Nagini rules…” Dracana said with a smile, placing a slender hand on one of her delicately curved hips. The door swung inward to admit her, and she dragged her twin inside after her.
“Thank you, Voldina,” Dracana said, nodding to a teenage girl, no older than herself, with long, black hair, snake-like eyes, and a slightly pointed nose. Her eyes were a very dark gray, resembling granite. She had two piercings in each ear, and a hoop lip ring. She wore a black, long-sleeved robe, that fell to the floor, and dragged behind her a little.
“Anything for my cousins,” Voldina replied, opening her arms in a welcoming gesture. The left sleeve of her robe fell back to show the lower half of a Dark Mark.
“Dear Voldina!” Dracana cried, hugging the girl. “How is Uncle V?”
“Boring as ever,” Voldina replied, pulling Draconus into a headlock.
“I thought so,” Dracana agreed dryly, looking around the nearly empty entranceway. “Not big on furnishing, is he?”
“Please…..let……..go….” Draconus choked out, trying to pry Voldina's arm off of his neck. Voldina released him, and turned away from the twins.
“Follow me,” she ordered, starting down the entranceway. “The Dark Lord would like to see you.”
Dracana and Draconus followed their cousin down the hallway, and into a large room, sitting in two large chairs, near a third.
“Dracana, Draconus,” A male voice hissed from the third chair, which sat in front of a large fire place. “Come, stand before me, so that I may see your faces once again.”
“Yes, Master,” the twins said in unison, rising from their seats to kneel before the chair in front of the fire, their heads bowed in respect for the Dark Lord.
The light from the flickering flames revealed the distorted, snake-like features of the “Dark Lord.” His eyes were an eerie crimson, the pupils nothing more than vertical slits. The man had two flat, vertical ovals for nostrils, and his teeth, which were bared in a horribly disgusting smile, were quite sharp.
“Dracana,” he hissed, holding out a long-fingered hand to cup her chin. “You become more and more beautiful each time I see you.”
“Thank you, Uncle Voldemort,” Dracana said, raising her crimson eyes to his, a smile forming on her blood-red lips.
“Draconus,” Voldemort smiled, looking at the boy. “From what Voldina says, you have taken a liking to torturing muggles that pass through these woods. Is this true, nephew?”
“It is true, Uncle,” Draconus said, an evil grin on his lips. “Oh how it is true.”
“Marvelous!” Voldemort said, clapping his hands together. “How have you two been getting along with K, M, Sa, and So?”
“Quite well, Uncle,” Dracana said, looking at her brother.
“K is a bit annoying at times, but she and So are usually fighting, or trying to kill each other so it doesn't really bother me that much,” Draconus said, shrugging.
“Great,” Voldemort said, holding out his almost anorexic-looking arms to hug Dracana. “Voldina shall be staying with you all for the rest of the summer, along with Nagini. It was wonderful too see you all again.”
“Same here, Uncle,” the twins said in unison, smiling at their uncle.
“Good bye, father,” Voldina said, kissing Voldemort on the cheek, and walking towards the door. The twins followed her, their fingers intertwined.
“I shall see you all at Christmas, no?” Voldemort said.
“Yes, we shall see you then. Goodbye, Uncle,” Dracana said, and the three teenagers bowed themselves out of the room.
