Chapter One Lily, Lily my Lady Lily
Journal,
Let's just say that this summer vacation wasn't exactly what you would call exciting. But I have nothing else to do as I'm sitting in this compartment. Here's what happened.
“James get out of that bed or I'll cut down on your allowance!” Called my mum from downstairs
“Five more minutes mum!” I said stiffly
“No, NOW!”
It was a usual Saturday morning and mum is determined to break my habit of getting up everyday at noon. I mean what's so wrong about that? Padfoot' s mum doesn't care about what time he gets up. But then, she doesn't even live with him. Padfoot' `s got his own flat.
I got dressed and went downstairs to find no breakfast waiting for me what so ever.
“Mum? Are we having brunch or something? `Cause I don't see breakfast.”
“Well, if you'd gotten up he first time I called you, instead of the fifth, maybe you'd find bacon and sausages on the table. I'm sorry honey but you'll have to make your own breakfast everyday if you keep this up.”
I made some toast and sat down at the table to write a letter to Sirius.
Hey mate!
How are things at the Black family reunion? Feel sorry for ya mate, but wait `till you see what my dad gave me for the school year. I swear it's worth a fortune! It's not something you see very often at Hogwarts.
Have you heard from Moony yet? I bet he's in a bad mood. You know, last night? Anyways, come over anytime you want to. I am officially bored to Hell. And don't be surprised if I suddenly pop up in your flat.
Prongs
I gave the letter to my owl and finished up my breakfast. Now, what am I going to do today?

“Over here Prongs!” yelled Sirius
Sirius and I are playing Quidditch in my backyard with my dad, even though it's two against one, we are losing big time. I made a dive for the quaffle and flew to the basket that is our hoop and attempted to score. And my dad blocked it with his broom yet again. Why is the star Quidditch player on the Gryffindor team getting beat so badly even with his equally good teammate on his side? Well duh? Who do you think taught us to play Quidditch?
“Boys! It's dinner time!” yelled mum from inside the kitchen.
Good thing too, before we lose too badly. We sat around the table and mum uncovered the platter, and we find one our favourite dishes, roast chicken.
Padfoot and I went up to my room to plan start of school pranks but apparently the subject changed from pranks to girls. I have no clue how.
“Prongs, you have got to be less pathetic around Evans. She hates the way you behave around her and you know that. If you want her to like you, you have got to stop fluffing your hair everytime you're around her. You are always so confident around everyone but when it comes to Evans you turn into mush.”
“No I don't. Since when do turn into mush? A marauder does not turn into mush for a girl.”
“Except for the one he loves more than anything else in this world.”
“You just have to rub it in don't you Padfoot?”
“James, James, James, you should know me well enough by now.”

“Moony, over here!” Sirius cried out.
It was the first of September and the Marauders are at the King's Cross Station. Well, all except Wormtail anyways. I am trying very hard not to look at Evans but it is way harder than I thought. I was doing fine until Evans suddenly tossed her hair and man it looked gorgeous under the sunlight. What can I say? I just couldn't help myself!
“Hey Evans, how about you go out with me!”
“The answer is the same as ever Potter. NO!”
“That's number one this year Prongs.” Announced Sirius as he took out a brand new piece of parchment out of his book bag.
Moony seemed to change over the summer as he usually didn't say anything when it comes to Evans. But this year he seemed to side with Sirius as he gave Sirius a quill as soon as he saw the parchment.
“Moony, I though you sided with me.” I exclaimed.
“I didn't side with anyone. I merely got tired of watching you chase after Lily with no chance of succeeding so I though I might as well have some fun while you are at it. Oh and Prongs, good luck as Head Boy.” Said Moony carelessly as he started to board the train.
Just as the train was about to leave Wormtail rushed into out compartment.
“Wormtail where were you?” questioned Sirius.
“My mum had to check my book bag to make sure I have everything.” He answered quite freely.
“Wormtail, you are almost seventeen, which is of Age. Which of Age wizard do you know has their mums check their luggage before they leave?” said Sirius.
“Padfoot will you give Wormtail a break already!” Moony spoke up.
The lady with the candy cart came I got our usual and brought it back into our compartment.
“Prongs? Isn't it about time you went to meet the Head Girl?” Said Moony.
“Oh damn! I totally forgot about that!”
I ran into the Heads compartment and guess who do I find? Lily Evans. I might have guessed.
“Potter!” she nearly screeched out.
“What in the Merlin's name are you doing here?” she screeched again.
“Well Miss Evans, if you don't already know. I, James Potter was appointed Head Boy.”
“That's impossible! Remus sent you right? Tell me Remus sent you here.”
“I'm sorry to disappoint you Miss Evans, but I am indeed Head Boy.”
“Ground rules.” She said.
“What?”
“Ground rules. No asking me out while patrolling or on duty. No Pranks. And NO making fun of people, especially Snape.”
“There is no way I can work with those rules. Especially the last one.”
“If you don't work with those rules I won't work with you.”
“Fine. But you can't set anymore rules in five months.”
“Deal”
This is going to be more interesting as I predicted it would be.
