Women vampires come into heat once a year and it is very much like the mortal period at each month. It makes them very weak due to the constant loss of blood but the smell of that special blood also attracts male vampires. Seras doesn't know this because she hasn't been a vampire for more than a year. She starts her time of year on the subway and it does attract other male vampires and Alucard also notices it drives him insane to be around it but there isn't much he can do. He wants to watch Seras and her struggles and her being in heat would make it even more fun.
END SETTING

CHAPTER ONE: THE SUBWAY
Seras walked into the subway grumbling about having to buy pads and tampons but also smiling at the thought of her female instincts being the same vampire or no. She took a quick look around noticing that it was mainly deserted, she gave a sigh of relief. She hefted the large insulated bag that Walter had packed with blood onto the floor next to the seat she occupied and her back pack of clothes soon followed. Seras was lost in her thoughts of how smart Alucard would think she was sleeping on the subway during the day where no light could get. She had picked the last car on the subway headed west and thankfully the car was deserted. She bent over the bag holding the blood and pulled out a bag glancing around once more satisfied that she was alone she quickly drained the bag stuffing it back in with the other full ones. She had been walking all day hoping from bus to bus cursing Alucard for leaving her behind. She didn't know why he had left her behind and it hurt her pride but she wasn't going to give in and wait for him to come back he had said the mountains in the west and that is where she would go she didn't know where exactly but just getting there would be the biggest step. She wiggled her swollen feet inside her shoes she wished that she could fly like her master but hopefully after her training she would be able to.

The sun had started to rise and Seras's head felt heavy she kicked her bags to the back getting up from her seat and setting back down in the farthest corner hoping that she wouldn't be disturbed by the passengers that would soon arrive on their way to work. She pulled her bags up into her lap knowing that if anyone tried to steal them that she would know. She laid her head on top of the bag carrying her clothes and fell asleep.

Alucard stepped from the subway car's adjoining car not bothering to open the door. His eyes were narrowed as he thought of how stupid the Police girl was to sleep on the subway it was dangerous. And the thought of her sleeping on the subway alone was even stupider she had no idea that Alucard was following her hoping to get a laugh or two at her struggle to make it to the mountains and so he hid his presence from her just in case. When he had thought of the idea he couldn't wait wondering if the police girl was actually brave enough to try and make it to the mountains by herself.

Alucard's nose twitched as he smelt something different in the air. He followed the scent to the police girl's sleeping form, his lips coming together in anger. His police girl had gone into heat of all times but his expression turned amused once again as he thought of how much more interesting it would be for her not only to struggle to get to the mountains but also fighting off every male vampire near her and not even knowing why they were coming after her. His showed his teeth in excitement at the fun that was to come and how much she would suffer if she did end up having to call him for help. Alucard snapped himself out of his daze as he felt the sun rising he floated through the top of the subway car laying himself on his side an ear pressed against the cold metal he would do the police girl a favor and listen to see if she makes it till that night. He didn't know why he should help her it was her fault for being so stupid just because she was strong didn't mean that she could do something so foolish. And with that he closed his eyes for the day visions of people and children flashing through his mind as he slept.
