"Alucard!" The room was darkened save for the light of the lamp sitting forlornly on the long, brown table carved from oak. A woman stood facing the clean desk with her white-gloved hands tucked loosely together behind her. Long, pale-blonde hair draped heavily over her shoulders and down her back.

"No need to shout, my master," a deep, masculine voice teased. On the far wall of the large room, a figure slid through the wall and into the shadows.

The woman turned slightly to regard the shifting shadow with a cold look of icy blue eyes. Her large glasses slid down the bridge of her nose and she moved her hand up to her mouth to remove the slender cigar that she had recently lit.

A chuckle sounded from the shadow and a man stepped out of them and into the dimmest ring of light that engulfed the desk and reached around the room, getting lighter and lighter until it merged with the shadows.

The man was dressed in knee-high, leather boots, a deep red jacket, overlapping a gray over shirt and a white under shirt. Covering his hands were white gloves with a round symbol on the back of both of them and a blood-red tie was tied under his white collar. He had long, black hair tired loosely back with a red ribbon, orange-yellow tinted glasses concealing his eyes, and a wide brimmed red hat to top it all off.

Alucard smiled, his fangs gleaming in the dim light, and bowed his head slightly to look over his glasses with deep red eyes. His master, Sir Integral Hellsing, was dressed in her usual attire. A dark green suit, white gloves, a white undershirt, and a dark blue tie that was tied under the collar much like his.

Integral ignored the vampire's comment and said in an authorized tone, "I just received word that there has been a murder down at Cheldra's park . . ." she started. Alucard, having hunted down Freaks for quite some time, bowed and started backing away toward the wall that he entered through.

"Yes, master-" Integral glared evilly at the retreating vampire.

"Now, hold on, Alucard! You wouldn't let me finish," she growled angrily. The vampire stood up, a sly smirk crossing his features.

"Wipe the smirk off your face and listen to me. The murder wasn't of a Freak or another vampire. The chief of the police describe to me that rather large chunks were missing from the body, as if a large animal attacked and ripped mercilessly at the pour soul."

Alucard blinked and said in a calm, smooth voice, "I hunt Freaks, Miss Hellsing. Are you asking me to go and look at this body and expect me to figure out what it was?" Integral threw back her head and laughed.

She fitted her left elbow into her right hand, waving the lit cigar slowly around. She smiled mockingly and said, "No, of course not. I'm ordering you to go out, demanding that you find clues to whom or what is causing trouble, and commanding you to hunt it down and dispose of it. Last thing I want is another monster lurking around." She turned back to her desk and said over her shoulder, "You're dismissed."

Alucard smiled wickedly, baring all his teeth, and said in a mocking tone, "Yes, Sir Hellsing." Integral watched closely out of the corner of her eye as her vampire slave slid through the wall. A few moments passed and she sighed.

"That monster is becoming more difficult by the day," she mumbled irritably. Then surprisingly, a small, secretive smile slid it's way onto her mouth. It disappeared as quickly as it came when a soft knocking came at her office door.

"Miss Hellsing, dinner is ready," she heard.

"Thank you, Walter. I will be down soon," she said softly to her butler.

Alucard stalked down the dark halls quietly, the only noise was the dull thudding of his boots on the red carpet that streamed down the hall like a long tongue. The true blood vampire had been in the servitude of the Hellsing family for many generations.

Ten years ago, a young girl had stumbled upon his chamber with her uncle and his men after her. She had awakened him. He had been locked up in that cursed room for twenty years and it was her blood that he had tasted first on his awakening.

He had found it delicious and rather addicting, but he had held back his urges when he found that that little girl was no other that Integral herself. Only at the age of thirteen, she showed the determination and iron will of the Hellsing blood

Even up against a vampire, she showed no fear that he knew of. When he had asked her to be his, she had refused to be tainted by his blood, that she would rather die then to become what he was.

To this day he admired her courage and will. He had stuck to her side through the years, protecting and watching as she grew from a young girl to a stunning woman.

Also, through the years he had grown irritated at being a slave to a human, daughter of the master before her or not, it still get to him. He found taunting, teasing, and mocking his present master to be quite fun and relieving.

"Master Alucard?" a small, feminine voice sounded from behind him. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before turning slightly to spot Seras Victoria, the policewoman he had turned vampire to save her life.

She was tall, curvy, and dressed in the Hellsing uniform. She had short, spiky hair, red eyes, wide with innocence. He didn't mind her being around him, but the fact that she refused to believe what she was annoyed him to no end.

"Good evening," he said, turning and continuing his walk down the hall to the doors that led outside. Seras blinked and ran to catch up with him.

He glanced down at her for a moment. She was so young, confused and oblivious to the truth. He sighed inwardly and kept walking. When they made it to the door, Seras looked up at him.

"Where are you going, Master?"

"I have an order to find and destroy a new threat," he stated, turning the handle and pushing it open. Seras watched him go, saddened that she would be alone for the time being. Then a thought struck her. She looked over her shoulder then back to Alucard's retreating form.

She smiled, a single fang bared cutely. She silently closed the door behind her and followed her master, making sure to keep out of sight and in the shadows, afraid that if Alucard caught her, he would order her to go back.

Well? What did ya think? If ya thought it sucked and want to review and burn me with your flames, jus remember what I said in the note before this. It's not my fault that I want to see Hellsing, but won't be getting it until X-Mas. ^^
