Chapter II De ja vu
Seras figured that if she ignored sleep that the nightmares would not return; but she was wrong for they came in full force knocking her unconscious. As she lay on the floor in her room, the nightmares or memories from long ago that were forgotten for decades replayed in her mind.
“Master Dracula you promised me!”
“Not now maybe later on.”
“No Master you promised you were going to teach me after the counsel meeting!”
“Something has come up that cannot be ignored.”
“Oh, you mean that man from England? What’s so special about him?”
“You would do well to mind your manners in his presence. He is to help us get to England if everything goes according to plan.”
“But Master…”
“Enough, it is time for you to sleep anyway. Rest well my little love and I shall take you hunting like promised.”
“You double promise on your honor Master?” Dracula chuckled.
“Double promise on my honor.”
“Alright fine, good night Master.”
Seras groaned as she fell from unconsciousness to sleep. Her senses slowly came back and she could sense her master coming to her room. There was a slight problem though; she could not open her eyes. She was too tired to even move and she knew Walter had already came in and set the medical blood on her table. Now she could not move or get up and it was starting to annoy her like crazy. She heard the familiar light footsteps of her masters and sighed in aggravation as he stopped next to her paralyzed body.
“Police girl, why do you refuse to drink your blood?” Now Seras was pissed beyond belief. Since she could not answer vocally, she decided to yell at him via their mental connection.
‘Do you really think its that master!?!? I have been drinking my blood since the incident with Incognito and you still believe that I’m not eating!!!!!! I can’t move, I feel like someone has control over me and you decide to accuse me of not eating!!!!! If you are so clever to think of that then tell me why I can’t move!!!!!!’
‘Don’t talk to master that way, do you not have respect for him?’ The voice that appeared in her head was not of Alucard’s because it was more feminine than anything and plus, Alucard had heard it as well. As soon as the voice had stopped talking, Seras her body relax and move when she tried. She had control back over her body but what controlled her in the first place?
“Master…who was that?” Alucard just stared at her with unreadable eyes. Seras was always able to tell what Alucard was thinking by the look in his eyes but they were clouded with different emotion that she could not read him.
“No one Seras… you need to have more control over who you let into your mind.”
“But master, I did not feel them trying to enter. The only link I have open is yours…”
“Enough, no more talk about this police girl. Anyway, we may have to postpone our training today.”
“But Master Alucard you promised me!” Seras felt a wave of de ja vu come over her but she ignored it.
“Not now, maybe later on.” Seras was not the only feeling de ja vu, Alucard felt it as well but he did not ignore it. He tried to remember when the last time he said that excuse.
“No Master, you promised you were going to teach me after the counsel meeting!” Now Alucard knew when he did this last. There was a difference though.
“Something has come up.”
“Oh, you mean the meeting with Enrico that Sir Integra has? What’s so special about that?”
“You would do well to mind your manners around him. This meeting is to solidify the treaty they made a few months back if everything goes according to plan.”
“But master…”
“Enough, Integra is calling for us. I will teach you to hunt tomorrow night.”
“You double promise on your honor Master?” When Seras said that he thought he saw…Alucard mentally shook his head. He must be really getting tired lately.
“Double promise on my honor.”
“Alright, fine, let go master.” Alucard gave her a rare smile and when she smiled back…Alucard shook his head. ‘It can’t be her, they are not the same, snap out of it.’ He thought to himself as he was dragged by Seras to Integra’s office via portal.
