Chapter 3


Until .... she felt hot breath on the back of her neck and felt a hand wrap around
the nape of her neck. "Hello, Jennifer." Jennifer didn't need to turn around
to know who was there. "Dominic, what are you doing here?" Jennifer said
her voice cracking slightly because of her fear. "Why, don't you remember
our deal?" Jennifer's eyes widened, "But this is only her sixteenth birthday,
your not supposed to come for her until next year." Dominic merly chuckled,
"I've decided to come for her a year early." Jennifers eyes widened in horror
and against her better judgement started to yell at Dominic, "NO, NO. YOU
CAN'T TAKE HER EARLY. I WON'T L....." She was abruptly cut off when
Dominic squeezed the back of her neck enough to cause a whimper of
pain and fear instead of her yelling. He leaned down as far as her ear and said
in a dangerous voice, " Hush now, we wouldn't want Mia to come into the room
right now, would we?" Jennifer just shook her head. Dominic was about to say
something else when a soft knock was heard on the bedroom door. A soft femmine
voice saying, "Mom, are you okay? I heard you yelling from downstairs." Dominic
let out a low snarl, that only Jennifer could hear. He whispered, "Tell her that you
had a bad dream and that you're alright now." Jennifer hesitated, but Dominic tightened
his grip an her neck in warning. She said, "Mia, I just had a bad dream. Why don't you
go back to bed." "Mom, did you have another nightmare about dad?" When
Mia said that Jennifer had to swallow the sob that came up in her throat.


Mia was standing outside of her mother's door waiting for her to answer
the question, when she heard the small sob that her mother made. Mia's heart
constricted in pain, tears unbidden rolled down her cheeks. Mia said in a
hoarse voice because of her tears, "Mom, I'm coming in." She put her hand
on the doorknob and started to open the door.


When Jennifer heard that Mia was coming in she paniced a bit. ' Oh my god,
if she comes in here now he will take her away.' But that wasn't in Dominic's plan
he wasn't ready for her just yet. So he whispered to Jennifer, " I'm not going to take
her away tonight." At this Jennifer visibly relaxed, but what he said next made her
tense up again, "I will be coming for her tomorrow night, and don't even think of
trying anything. Because we know what happened last time." When he said
this Jennifer let out a sob and continued to cry. Dominic could sense Mia
opening the door so he blennded in with the shadows to get a look at his soon
to be pet before he leaves. When Mia came in through the door, Dominic took
in her beauty and let out a soft rumble of satisfaction. Mia was a tall girl at about
5'6 and she had long reddish blonde hair that reaches to her butt, which was in a
braid. Dominic could see she had fare skin with no blemishes, her eyes were a
captivating silver blue that glowed in the moonlight. She was wearing blue dog pj bottoms
that lay low on her slim hips and a red tank top that hugged her curves and breasts, it
was raised up just above her belly button. All in all Mia grew up to be a beautiful
teenager. Dominic smirked and he knew that he would have fun with Mia, so he
quietly left out through the window while Mia and Jennifer were talking.


When Mia walked into her mother's room she saw her curled up on the bed
sobbing into the blankets. Mia hated to see her mom like this, ever since her father
was mysteriously murdered when she was 4 her mother would have terrible dreams
about that night. Mia would always come in and lay with her mother and comfort her,
this is what she was going to do right now. Although when she sat next to her mother
she felt as though she was being watched. She looked throughout the room, but
could find nothing out of the ordanairy. A few minutes later the feeling of being
watched passed, so she just shook it off as paranoia.


Mia turned to her mother, " Mom, are you okay?" Jennifer didn't answer and this
worried Mia. She shook her mother's shoulder gently and tried again, " M..Mom, P...p
lease answer me?" Mia stuttered because of her fear for Jennifer. This made
Jennifer come out of her trance. She looked up at her daughter and could see the
worry and concern for her. Jennifer tried to smile but failed miserabley, and hugged her
daughter to her as if she will never see her again. And after tomorrow night that will be
true. With that thought in Jennifer's head she hugged Mia tighter and didn't want to
let go. Mia was kind of startled when her Mother hugged her so fircely, and she knew
that something was wrong. "Mom, what's the matter?" Jennifer just shook her head,
"Just stay in hear with me tonight, please." Mia complied and layed down with her
Mother, they both fell asleep comforting one another."


(With Dominic, in his Mansion)

Dominic had just got into his house, when he heard a silky deep voice say " Where
have you been, little brother?" Dominic turned to where the voice came from, there
stood a man taller and older then Dominic. He had broad shoulders and long coal
black hair, golden amber eyes that could peirce your soul. He was also more
muscular then Dominic but not too much to be unattractive. His eyes held no
warmth or emotions it was like he was a block of ice. This man always scared
Dominic a little, his name was Dimetri; Dominic's older brother. Dominic just
glared at Dimetri and walked up the stairs to his bedroom. Dimetri narrowed
his eyes in slight anger, he hated to be ignored. As Dominic walked past
Dimetri, said vampire grabbed Dominic's arm and said, " You will answer
me, little brother. Since mom and dad are dead, I'm the leader of this house
hold." Dimetri glared at his little brother and knew that he would answer him.
Dominic growled, but answered him anyway and if he didn't he knew that the
punishment would be severe. "I was at a humans house." Dimetri glared
harder at Dominic which caused him to flinch slightly. " And why were you
at this human's house?" Dominic didn't answer at first, but Dimetri put more
pressure on his arm, just short of crushing the bones as a warning. Dominic
winced but anwered, " I have a deal with her. I just went there to remind her of
it." He looked at his older brother and noticed that he had an eyebrow arched
in question, so Dominic elabourated. " I made a deal with her sixteen years ago,
that in exchange for her life I would get her unborn child if it was a girl when she
became a teenager." When he finished he looked up at Dimetri's face and saw
some kind of emotion in his eyes, but before he could decifer it it was gone
and his eyes returned emotionless. Dimetri let go of Dominic's arm and said,
" Just keep your pet away from me." He turned and walked away to his room.
Dominic watched his brother walk away while rubbing his arm that Dimetri
had grabbed. "jerk." With that he went to his room to get it ready for Mia's
arrival.
