Chapter 2


Every night since Jennifer met Dominic and they agreed to the deal, Jennifer
had nightmares of when he finally comes to take her daughter away. She would
always wake up in a cold sweat. Jacob used to comfort her until she fell back to
sleep. But he hasn't been able to do that for her anymore, because 12 years
ago Dominic had killed Jacob. Somehow Dominic found out that Jennifer told
Jacob what happened and they were going to move away so that they could
save their daughter from him. Now Jennifer is sitting on her bed remembering
the day that Dominic took away the love of her life.

**Flash Back (12 years ago, Nov. 20/1994)**

It has been a couple of days since Jennifer finally broke down and told
Jacob about the deal between her and Dominic. Jennifer is sitting in the
living room drinking tea and watching a cartoon with her 4 year old daughter
Mia. Mia has reddish blonde hair and silver blue eyes, she is a small child.
You can see that when she grows up she will be quite the beauty. Jennifer
was thinking and hoping that they will be able to get away from Dominic.
She was roused from her thoughts when she heard the door opening &
closing, Jacob yelling, "Jenn, Mia I'm home." At the sound of her fathers
voice, Mia jumped up yelling, "yay, daddy's home." Ran to the front door
to greet her father. Jennifer smiled at her daughter's antics and followed
to welcome her husband home.

Jacob saw his energetic daughter coming to greet him and for a
moment he looked sad and angry. ' Dominic will never get my little girl
as long as I'm still alive and kicking.' He was dragged out of his thoughts
when Mia collided with his legs almost knocking him down. He looked
down at his daughter's smiling face, his angry frown turned into a heart
warming smile. " Mia, what are you doing up at this hour? You should
be in bed." Mia smiled at her father, " I was waiting for you to come
home daddy, so that you can tuck me in. Mommy said that I could."
"Okay, why don't you go on up and I will be there in a moment."
Mia nodded her head and ran up the stairs to wait for her father. When
their daughter was gone, Jacob let out a breath and sat down on the couch.


Jennifer saw that something was troubling her husband, so she decided
to ask him what was wrong. Jennifer sat next to Jacob, laid her head on his
shoulder, " Jacob what's the matter?" He wasn't sure what was the matter,
but he could feel that something bad was going to happen. Jacob turned
to Jennifer, "I'm not sure, but I feel like something bad is going to happen."
Jennifer also got that vibe but didn't say anything, instead she just laid her
head on Jacob's shoulder and tried to will her worring away. After a few minutes
of silence, Mia started yelling out to her father to hurry up. Jacob just laughed,
"I'll go up and tuck Mia in. Are you going to bed now of later?" Jennifer replied,
"I guess I'll go to bed now. Are you coming after you tuck in Mia?" Jacob
nodded his head, and they both walked up the stairs. What they didn't see
was a pair of furious icy blue eyes, looking in through the livingroom window.


Dominic was outside of Jennifer and Jacob's home and was very angry
at what he saw. They were going to move away so that Mia would be safe from
his clutches. When he thought of Mia he got a feral smirk on his face, he knew
that she would grow up to be a real beauty. He couldn't wait until then, but now
he'll have to show Jennifer what happens when you try to betray a vampire.
"This is going to be fun." Dominic snuck into the house to teach Jennifer a
lesson. On his way to Jennifer and Jacob's room, he stopped and went into Mia's.
He saw the young child asleep without a care in the world. Dominic knelt down
next to her bed, moved her bangs that were in her eyes. She stirred a bit but
didn't wake up. Dominic smirked, 'Soon you will be with me, and I will never
let you go.' He kissed her forehead, got up and left the room.


Dominic came to Jennifer and Jacob's room, his smirk changed into
a deadly snarl that showed his fangs. He was going to make sure that she
learned to never doublecross a vampire. Dominic opened the door and
soundlessly walked over to Jacob. He wrapped his hand around Jacob's
throat, and squeezed just enough to keep him quiet and wake him up at
the same time.


Jacob felt something squeeze his throat and he lost some air. 'What
the hell is wrong with me.' He slowly opened his eyes, and what he saw
gave him the shock of his life. There in front of him he saw a tall man
with glowing icy blue eyes, that has his throat in a vice like grip. The man's
lips were pulled back in a snarl, Jacob could see fangs. 'Oh my God! Is
this who I think it is.' Just then Jacob heard a frightned gasp next to him.
"Dominic." Said vampire looked at Jennifer and gave a malicious smile,
said in a deadly calm voice. "Hello dear Jennifer, long time no see. I've
heard a distressing rumor." At this his voice became deep and beastial
with his anger and his eyes flashed red for a moment. When Jennifer saw
this she whimpered in fear. "I've heard that you are moving away, is this true?"
Of course he knew it was true, but he wanted to see if Jennifer would lie
about it. Jennifer answered in a scared whisper, "Y...Yes it's true." Dominic
narrowed his eyes at Jennifer, "Well then, I'm going to have to teach you
that you should never cross a vampire." "What are you going to do?"
Dominic smirked evilly at her, "Why, my dear. I'm going to kill your husband.
Maybe then you'll think twice about betraying me."


Jacob's eyes widened and he started struggling to get out of Dominic's grip.
Dominic squeezed his throat and hissed, "Be still. I'm not ready to kill you yet."
He looked at Jennifer again and saw her shocked face, when the words finally
sunk in Jennifer's head her eyes widened in horror. She started to cry in uncontrollabel
sobs. Jennifer grabbed Dominic's arm and pleaded, "Please, please don't kill
Jacob. We won't leave, please just don't kill him." She finished the last part of
the plea in a soft whisper. Dominic was not moved by her begging, and just pushed
her off of him, she landed on the floor with a thump.


Jacob said in a raspy voice since Dominic was still squeezing his throat,
"Jennifer are you okay?" He looked at Dominic and snarled, "you bastard."
Dominic just raised an eyebrow and made his grip on Jacob tighter until he
was coughing uncontrollably. He leaned next to Jacob's ear and whispered
"I can always kill Jennifer too and take little Mia with me now." Jacob's eyes
widened and he growled in anger in the back of his throat.


Dominic was getting tired of all this drama, so he decieded to end it.
He leaned down to Jacob's neck where he viciously sunk in his fangs.
Jacob let out a pained gasp and tried to get out of Dominic's grip but
the vampire was too strong. Jennifer was still dazed on the floor, but
when she turned to where Jacob and Dominic were she could see that
she was too late, and wouldn't be able to save Jacob. (Which she
probably wouldn't be able to save anyway.)
When Dominic felt that Jacob's heart slowed considerably he ripped
his fangs out as brutally as he sank them in. Dominic looked at Jennifer's
grief stricken face and smiled, with jacob's blood oozing from the
corner of his mouth. "This will teach you to not double cross a vampire."
Dominic leaned closer to Jennifer and whispered, "If you ever do
this again before I come for Mia, I will make sure you death is slow
and painful." Jennifer made a small whimper, and the next thing
she knew she was alone in the bedroom with Jacob's Dieing body.


Jennifer ran to Jacob with tears coming down her cheeks. He looked
up at her and tried to smile but only ended up wincing. "Oh My God,
Jacob I'm so sorry. I have to call the ambulence." Just as Jennifer
was getting up to get the phone, Jacob grabbed her arm to stop her.
He said in a weak voice, " Jennifer it's to late, I've lost too much blood."
Jennifer just shook her head in denial and continued to cry. Jacob
took a shuddering breath and continued, " Take care of Mia, don't
tell her what happened. Tell her that I love her very much." Bye now
Jacob had also started to cry. Jennifer had her head on his chest
sobbing. " Jennifer," She looked up at him and he continued. " Don't
let that bastard take our little girl. One more thing, I love you with all
of my heart." After that sentence Jacob took his last breath and his
heart ceased to beat. Jennifer who was laying on his chest noticed
this. But she could not accept it, "Jacob, Jacob NO JAAACOB!."
For the rest of the night she wheeped over her Husbands dead and
cold body.

**End flashback**

Present time (Nov.20/06 2:00 am)

Jennifer is currently sitting on her bed thinking about the past, she
has no way of keeping Dominic away from Mia. 'Well, at least I
still have one more year left to figure something out.' Today is
Mia's sixteenth birthday. But what Jennifer Dosn't know is that
something has changed. Jennifer was so deep in her thoughts
that she didn't see the tall figure with glowing icy blue eyes
until........
