Kagome didn’t think as she flew at Buu. She landed a hit in his face that pushed him back about two feet. She straightened up and moved in front of Shippou, to block the monster view of her son. Kagome glanced quickly over her shoulder to see that Shippou would be fine once he rested. She could tell that Shippou put up one hell of a fight.
Kagome had vowed from the first time she saved him that she would not let anything happen. Snarling she flipped over Buu’s head and floated about 5 ft. from the ground. Kagome held her hands out in front of her and powered up for her attack.
“Come on, Ugly! Fight me! ” Kagome screamed as she sent a wave of ki blast at Buu.
Kagome stopped after about three minutes of constant ki blast. She let the dust settle as she lowered her self to the ground, her eyes never leaving the spot where the monster stood. Kagome could see an out line of a figure. Once the dust settled completely she growled in frustration. She had sent almost everything at him and he was barely hit.
“You hit Buu.” Buu said in a little kids voice. “Buu make you pay.” With that Buu blew stream from the wholes all over his body.
Kagome almost rolled her eyes at the pink monster however when he launched himself in her direction she found that she shouldn’t make the mistake of thinking that the monster as weak. She quickly dodged as he kept trying to land a punch or kick.
>At the side lines<
Goku and Vegeta were standing there watching Kagome take on Buu. Buu landed a couple of hits but Kagome gave more than she received. Goku glanced over and could see the kitsune demon laying there in the crater. Goku looked over at Piccolo.
“I’m going to get the kit then take him to Dende.”
Piccolo nodded. “That’s fine. Let the others know what is happening then hurry back. We might need some help later.” With that he turned his attention back to the fight.
Goku nodded as he used I.T to retrieve Shippou and took him to the look out. Piccolo turned his attention back to the battle that was taken place. He could tell that Vegeta was doing everything in his power to stay where he stood.
Vegeta kept his eyes on his mate and the threat. He could tell that she was about to power up. Vegeta narrowed his eyes when the fight came to a stand still. He could feel Goku leave with the kit but even though he wanted to make sure Shippou was ok he kept his eyes on Kagome. He would not let this monster hurt his mate.
>Kagome & Buu<
Kagome spit the blood that pooled in her mouth out. She had a couple of broken ribs from a little love tap that he gave her about three minutes ago. Now she was standing there with her tail wrapped around her waist trying to relieve some of the pain from the broken ribs.
Kagome could tell that Goku had taken Shippou out of harms way while she had the over grown marshmallow distracted. Kagome powered up to SS3 then launched herself at him. Her feet and fists were nothing but blurs that were aiming in any direction.
Buu, despite his size, was rather fast. He could take a hit and bounce back with no problem. They had all learned to watch out for his antenna on the top of his head. He had tried the attack on two times on Kagome however she was barely able to dodge in time. She had tried to remove the damn thing however he just grew it back.
Kagome quickly cut her eyes over to the others that were standing there and noticed that her mate was tense. She could feel his anger at the monster all the way over here and it was only adding to the fire with in her. Kagome would make sure that he would not have to fight this monster. Even if it meant her own life.
>At Kami’s Lookout<
Yamcha and Krillin had taken Shippou from Goku and layed him in one of the rooms. Dende had healed him however he was still out of it. Bulma, with Chen, and the other two younger boys, Goten and Trunk, along with Gohan and Videl were sitting in the living room waiting for Dende to come back from Kurin's. Krillin and 18 were also present. Marron was laying down in her play pen sleeping.
“I sure hope that Kagome will be ok.” Goten shoulders slumped. Trunks patted his friend on the shoulder.
“Don’t worry Kagome is more powerful than dad.” Trunks tried to help his friend.
“Hey don’t worry about Kagome, Goten.” Gohan told his younger brother. “From what I can remember Kagome is almost as strong as dad.” Gohan looked up and smiled. “In fact I think it was Kagome that watched over when Piccolo wasn’t around.”
“You are correct Gohan.” Shippou said as he walked into the room. “Mother has watched over all of you ever since we knew that this day would be coming. The only place she was not allowed to go was Namik. Father made it quite clear that he would take that mission on himself.”
Everyone looked at Shippou stunned. “Do you mean to tell me that you watched as my brother and I tried to destroy the world?” 18 asked as she walked over to her husband.
Shippou nodded. “Of course but there is a reason she did not interfere.”
“And pray tell was that?” Bulma narrowed her eyes as she watched the kitsune.
“She was not needed.” Shippou looked over at Gohan and smiled. “Gohan took care of Cell.”
“After Cell killed my father I was able to kill him!” Gohan screamed at Shippou. Everyone in the room could tell that Gohan was not very happy with the decision. They all knew the pain that the young boy went through when his father died.
Shippou sighed as he leveled his gaze at the young sayain. “I know how hard it is to live with out a father however if your father did not sacrifice his life then you would of not been able to defeat Cell. Your fathers death was the only thing that gave you the will power to defeat him when he returned.”
Gohan nodded as he stood and walked out of the room. Videl followed after him after she said good bye to the others. She knew that Gohan would most likely go home. Shippou felt his heart break as he watched Gohan leave. He did indeed feel for the young boy however it was needed. He turned to the others.
“Do you have any other questions?” Shippou looked around at all of them.
“Why don’t you tell them how you and your mother came to be together.” Dende told Shippou as he walked back in the room. “Mr. Popo is cooking lunch as we speak.”
“Alright but it will take a while.” Shippou sat down and began what he could remember Kagome telling him when he first joined the group. “It all started when Kagome was 15 years old. In fact it was her birthday when she.....”
>Vegeta, Piccolo, Goku<
Vegeta was gritting his teeth as he watched his mate fall to the ground. Kagome now had a broken arm along with other scrapes and bruises that the monster known as Buu gave her. Vegeta also knew that Kagome most likely had a small concussion.
Growling softly he glanced over at Kakarot and noticed that his frienemy was not doing so good either. They had come to an agreement about being friends. Vegeta would never tell Kakarot but he was the only one who befriended him and was still around. The others that Vegeta thought of as his friends were either killed or left.
Vegeta cut his eyes back just in time to watch as Kagome flew towards Buu and landed a hit to his side which barely made a dent. He had enough and was getting ready to intervene when he felt a hand on his arm. Turning around he noticed that it was Piccolo who stopped him.
“You’ll only get yourself killed.” Piccolo could tell that Vegeta was pissed and wanted to do something however it wasn’t their fight. At least not until Kagome could no longer stand or was...... dead.
“He’s right, Vegeta.” Goku spoke as he kept his eyes on Kagome and Buu. “However I believe that Gogeta would stand a good chance.” At that time he spared a quick glance towards Vegeta.
Vegeta turned towards Kakarot and grinned. “Then lets get this over with.” Vegeta glanced back at his mate in time to see Kagome fall to the ground. He snarled when she did not get up right away.
Goku placed a hand on Vegeta then used I.T to move them a little ways away for them to do the fusion. Once they were far enough away the both moved together and perfected the fusion the first time. In a flash of light Gogeta was born.
Gogeta transported over to Piccolo. “Once I get my mate I want you to take her to the look out. We shall be there when the fusion is over.” Gogeta did not wait for Piccolo to answer as he rushed the pink blob.
Piccolo shook his head as he made his way over to the knocked out Kagome. Her power level was low however with a sensu bean she would be good as new. Piccolo looked around to see if he could find Gogeta however he was only able to sense their ki. He quickly picked the girl up and headed back to the look out.
>At the Look out<
“Kagome then shot the arrow and hit the jewel that was apart of Naraku. She was able to purify it along with killing Naraku. Of course the jewel was shattered again and we had to hunt for the shards.” Shippou sighed.
“What happened to Kikyo and Inuyasha?” 18 asked as she placed a hand on Krillin’s leg and squeezed.
Shippou had a pained look on his face. “He was killed by Kikyo which was then killed by my mother when she watched Inuyasha fall. She still cares for him to this day.” Shippou stood for a moment and closed his eyes. When they opened he rushed out the door.
The others looked at each other and then quickly followed the Kit. They knew that he would be able to sense things before they were able. Goten, Trunks and Marron were told to stay however Goten and Trunks followed at a distance.
“Whats the problem, Shippou?” Dende asked as he stepped up beside the kit.
Shippou growled softly then looked back at the others. “Mother used to much of her energy. Goku and Vegeta had to do a fusion. Piccolo is bring mother back to the look out.” Shippou then turned back to the edge of the look out.
Dende nodded in understanding. He then turned to the others. “Let’s get some rest for a little while. Mr. Popo will take you to the rooms you will be staying at.” Just then Mr. Popo appeared behind them.
“If you will follow me.” Mr. Popo turned and walked back into the house. The others followed except for Dende and Shippou. Dende walked back over to the kit and placed a hand on his shoulder.
“She did what she could.” Dende hoped that Shippou would not blame himself for what will happen.
Shippou sighed and bowed his head. “Mother has always done for others before looking after herself. I wish that he was here to tell her that she is doing the right thing. Only he was able to help her unlike any others. Not even father could help like Inuyasha could.” Shaking his head he turned and left the ‘guardian’ at the edge of the look out and headed back to his room. He still needed to rest.
