Religious Craft
Chapter One

Then night was moonless, there was nothing to light the path of those that had just left the lighted manor. A figure standing in front of the window gazed out with eyes of strength, eyes that wanted to be set free from the prison they were in. They turned from the dark view to the door where a shadow peeked under the door, in a welcoming shadow. The woman looked back at the window and with a forceful punch shattered the glass with no effort. Her body leapt from the lighted manor, to the concrete road lit by the fuzzy street lights. She stood patiently, as if waiting for someone to follow, and someone did. He landed with a soft breeze next to her, not a word spoken between them of the decision made, as she walked forward one step, turned and looked at him.

“You know I have still to understand why you follow me, and never keep me from disobeying the rules of the order.” She questioned, a smirk growing in her lips as she grabbed the guy by his collar.

“You are my master, and all I am commanded to do is protect you.” He stated, saying the words as if reading them from a book.

“Yes, your master. Such joy it brings me!” Her sarcastic voice rang in the alley way and she turned with darkened eyes to the path before her, before sprinting down into the shadow. She stopped soon in front of an old brick building of a church, one of the old run down Catholics church. She snickered as she shoved the door open with a hard thrust and locked eyes with the scene in front of her. There were many of the soldiers for the Wiccan order trying to fight off the new monster, and from the looks of the face paint, a Hindu beast. She glanced back at the cloaked man behind her and nodded towards the mess, sprinting ahead she slammed her foot into the face of the creature and flipped back.

“Hey ugly, you lookin' for me?” She taunted, the angry glares from the monster and people around her. She ignored them as she jumped out of the way of the flying claws and pulled out two guns from her sides and clicked them ready. “Go to hell and let those creators of yours know I am not in the mood anymore for this shit!” and shot off a few rounds from the guns, the blood of the creature spewing out and landing on the rotten pews and the people behind it. She stuck the guns back into their place, readjusting her neck sash and turning to answer the angered Wiccans.

“You know you aren't suppose to leave the mansion when they tell you too!” Shouted a short red head who, from the way she was dressed was the leader of this coven. Ali snickered and turned around to face the door way, where she intended to go through.

“Hey if I hadn't you all might all be dead.” She shouted back, walking out the door

“Get back here Ali!” Shouted the same angered voice, a loud clicking of boots came towards her. “You will listen to the commanding officer of this coven, if you like it or not.” She grabbed Ali by the sash on her neck and pulled her face down to hers. Ali smirked and made a motion with her hand, the guy appearing by her side.

“I bet you are one of the lowest that you don't know that my body guard is one of the creatures you all say you are out to protect me from.” She smirked, loving the power she held over these people at this moment, or at all times. “Glade show her your beautiful canines for me.” The guy pulled back his hood and flash a set of sharp fangs, set with piercing gray eyes. The woman threw Ali back towards the door and turned to the women behind her, shouting orders.

Ali walked back into her bedroom and fell onto her bed and crawled up and sprawled out, sighing as she took off her gun belt. She threw it to her side and yawned as she rolled over and gazed at a computer that sat open on her desk blinking, `You got mail.' she thought standing up and clicking on the email button to read the new email, a command to come to the vice presidents room. `Stupid woman, told on me.” she cursed as she slammed the computer closed and called out for Glade.

“Stupid president wants to see me again, come on I don't want him pulling the same crap again as before.” She shuddered and still wondered why she lived here, wait she remembered. Everyone else wanted to either kill her or keep her as a pet. Striding down the hall with no worry, and a mind full of anger slammed the large wooden door to the vice's office open. “Ok lets cut the crap and get to the point. You aren't happy with what I did. No duh I broke the rules and now you want me to promise that I will never do it again or I will never fulfill what the goddess has in store for me. I think that is all of it can I go now.” She whined, standing in the door way rolling her eyes at the smirk on him.

“Sit, I have some good news for you.” He motioned towards a leather chair in front of the desk but she shook her head.

“I'm fine where I am, now get on with the whole news thing before I leave.” She commanded, crossing her arms across her chest and leaned into the door frame.

“I am assigning you to a coven to work with. Now the leader will keep a close eye on you while you all work on this TOGETHER.” He snickered and she really wasn't enjoying this “good” news after all.

“You know I work alone, besides I have Glade to cover my ass anyway. So I see no point to assigning me to an idiot.” She answered closing her eyes annoyed at the stupidity.

“For your information I am no idiot!” Called out a familiar female voice. Ali froze and turned to see the same red head woman walk out of the shadow and stand next to the vice. “My coven is one of the best, the reason we weren't trying to kill the thing was to bring it back and study it, but...YOU KILLED IT!” She growled walking forward and getting into Ali's face.

“Well bring it on shorty!” She shouted down to the woman, snickering as she measure herself and the other female. The other woman swatted her hand away and glared Ali right in the eye.

“The name is Sage Rose.” She answered. “Master Sage Rose.”

“Like hell I'm calling you master!” Ali turned her back to the woman and walked away in a rush, Glade close behind.

“Master, you know it might be good to work with them. If she gets on your nerves I can always tear her head off.” She let a small evil laugh escape from her lips and had an evil grin plastered on her face. She liked that idea and strolled back in the other direction, back to the office. “I agree to join but on one condition.”

“What is your condition?” Sage asked, not liking the look on Ali's face.
“I can call the shots when it comes to big things.” That struck a nerve with Sage as she fumed about her control over the group and the mess it would be to switch control all of a sudden.

“She is the best of the best on these things, stupid girl.” Glade spoke up leering at the fuming red head and snickering at her facial expression.

“Shut your mouth demon!” She spat back. A hand slapped the red head hard across the face and left a print. Sage looked up into an enraged Ali, readying for another hit.

“Don't ever call him a demon, he is better than most of the scum that call him evil!” Ali turned the corner, ready for the red head to follow, and follow she did.

“My coven is organized, so don't mess it up. We are in hall three room 113.” She pointed down a hall and towards a room. Ali walked in, not impressed by the people inside and turned to the red head.

“This can't be the best of the best. Well might as well test them out.” She walked into the center of the people and pulled out a dagger. “Okay! Everyone turn your attention to me.” All the people in the room turned to the intruder and watched cautiously the dagger in her right hand. “Does anyone here know the difference between a Hindu middle class monster and a Muslim b-class one?” Everyone in the room, with confused looks shook their heads.

“Well this is a fine bunch...” Glade mocked from next to Ali.

“I know, the “top” too.” She laughed back, looking over the others around her.

“A middle usually has more of a form and slight powers, and a b-class is more powerful usually taking on the shape shifting tributes.” Came a voice from the back. Ali walked through the crowd to come eye to eye with a pink haired woman her height with a simple dagger at her waist.

“I applaud you. Only one who does, and I think maybe you just won yourself a spot on the next mission.” Ali responded, clamping a hand down on her shoulder.

“Great. That stupid leader of ours has done nothing but hold me back.” She explained, turning a glare in Sage's direction. Ali went to say something when an alarm went off and everyone ran to certain parts of the room gathering weapons.

“Ok all those that have passed their second degree will follow me.” Ali called and sprinted out to the car that awaited her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~
“This looks bad chief. I don't know what came through here and killed these girls, all of them look alike so it must be someone their looking for.” A cop explained to his chief, a shiver running down his back as the area was taped off and spectators came in and looked at the mess.
“Sir, we have come to take care of this thing.” Came a female voice as she stepped out of a car, three or four people behind her. Ali smiled at the mess and laid a hand against her ribs to feel the gun.
“Catholic?” Glade asked surveying the bloody mess. Ali nodded and looked at the reflective images of the bodies who resembled her.
“Yea, they are the ones out to really bring me down. To bring about the end of their sins I think.” She spat at the ground and stepped over the tape, careful to avoid stepping in the blood everywhere. “Ok pink haired girl, you are coming with us. The rest of you stay here and watch for any trouble.” Ali sprinted into the large cathedral, glade beside her ready to take out the creature. The monster was quite large, his hideous gray skin and yellow eyes were rimmed with red from the overdose of female blood. It leered at Glade, and then at Ali, who was the person it was after, blood was dripping from its mouth.
“Don't take this one lightly Glade.” She ran with her special dagger in her right hand, the gun in left and slashed at the back. Flipping around she shot off a round at th cut and watched the skin melt away from the acidic bullet. It turned on them and lunged at the pink haired girl, trying to take more blood. The creature was not only after Ali but now it was so drunk with female blood it wanted more. Ali took her dagger and ran again at the monster, stabbing it in the head and shooting again, setting it off its path. She flipped her head to look at Glade, he nodded in response to what she was thinking. Running forward Ali slashed at the underside of her arm and leapt onto Glade's back, pressing the cut to his mouth. He sucked at the blood and his eyes grew fiery with power as she pulled her arm back and hooked it around his neck.
“Die monster!” She yelled at the top of her lungs as Glade blasted it with a blast of element energy. She followed through with another bullet and collapsed into Glade's arms, the monster screeched loudly before it fell and dissolved into nothing.
“Well, well, for a 16 year old girl you sure know your fighting abilities.” A man, middle aged with a catholic priest outfit stepped out of the shadow clapping. Ali glared at him, she really didn't trust any of the leaders who messed with human DNA to create the monsters she fought.
“What the hell you want?” She yelled venomously, standing up and pointing her gun at him. “I don't miss so don't come any closer.” He laughed and stopped his advances as he turned his judging eyes from her to Glade. Her blood was still lining his lips and it disgusted the man, as he turned away.
“What a company you keep. Why you didn't come to our side I will never know.” He cackled and stuck out a hand. “Our offer is still available right now, if you take my hand.” He tried to pierce her but she shook her head, a smirk on her face as she shot a round at his feet.
“My answer is still the same. Take your crap to hell.” She watched the man nod and turn back to the shadow.
“We will take you back, if you like it or not. There are some of your people that have been so much help to us.” He walked into the shadow and disappeared quickly. Ali sighed and dropped her gun as she slumped into Glade.
“Can we go home now?” She asked looking up at Glade, his small smile that only she could bring out appeared as an answer.
