*~~*Ok Hi I'm Bunny!This is my first fic ever.^^I'm pretty proud of it but hey that's just me.Oh yeah just so you know Megami is an original character and I've completely screwed up the timeline of Inu-Yasha and I've changed Sesshoumaru's personality abit *cough cough* ok alot.So I guess you could say it's kinda a different universe?Well anyways I would love feedback!I'm not finished yet though,but if a get any comments I might finish it.*~~*
-= He looked up at the starry sky wondering why he was feeling lonely.
Him of all people! He was not supposed to feel lonely,he was too great for that.But then again he couldn't deny the sweet memories flooding into his mind.It all seemed so long ago,as if it were another life.Not this lonely exsitance.His memories were realitively happy.They actually calmed him,gave him a sense of being in this world.But he could tell no one of this.It would be a weakness shown to the world and that can't be allowed.=-
He sighed running his hand through his delicate silver hair.
"Jaken, get Rin.We are leaving now." were his only words as he thought to himself about last night.
"Yes melord."
The small toad demon scuttled off towards the direction of the young playful Rin.
"Child! Get your things and come,Lord Sesshoumaru is waiting!,"
.He was getting quite immpatient at the child, and it certainly wasn't making matters better knowing that he couldn't stand looking at the small human child.Sesshoumaru glared at the iritating toad, it was the best he could do at the moment considering he was wrapped up in his own thoughts at the second.
=Stupid toad,he'll regret having been so short with Rin when she gets strong enough to fend for herself.Anyways on to more important matters.I need to find Megami,no,I want to find Megami.I must know why I keep thinking about her! Damn that woman.I can only remember her as a child...She was the only one who would dare enter Father's castle.She didn't come to see Inu-Yasha my half-breed brother,but instead she came to see me.She didn't care I was demon,she didn't care my brother and father were demons.She only cared for my company.I wonder....Why did see come to see me?Was she actually someone I could call a friend?I don't know.....I never got the chance to know.We moved from that place because Inu-Yasha's mother grew tired of it.We moved while Megami was sick...I never got to tell her good bye,I never got to see if she got better...Fool! Of course she lived!Or else this journey you're about to make would be meaningless....=
He continued thinking to himself as Jaken was trying to talk to him.
"Melord?Melord?Shall we be leaving now?Melord are you listening to me?"
The small toad was getting worried his Lord was ignoring him so he tugged on the corner of his kimono.
Bam!
Sesshoumaru's eyebrow twitched in frustration.No one touched him!Especially little toads....
Jaken groaned and pushed the large stone off of him that him been thrown on him.
"Melord! That was uncalled for! I was only trying to get your attention.."
Sesshoumaru lifted his clawed hand,his poison covered clawed hand to be precise, in Jaken's direction.Sesshoumaru gave the toad a muderous look.Jaken's eyes widened as he stepped a few inches back,away from the poisoness claws,into a small boulder.
"There's no need for that melord.I'll keep quiet."
He gulped and joined the waiting Sesshoumaru and Rin on the carriage pulled by two sky dragons.
"Let's go you two stupid dragons!"
He cracked a small whip in his toad hands.As the three flew off in the direction of Sesshoumaru's childhood home each one was lost in their own thoughts as the blue sky,fresh spring air,and warm sunlight fell upon them.

~A small girl with golden hair and deep blue eyes entered my room.
"Sess? Hey Sess you here? I was wondering if you wanted to play with me outside."
I growled as a response. She put her hands on her hips and laughed.
"Sess you know I'm not scared of you.Now show yourself before I become cross and leave."
I came from a dark corner in my room.
"Do you have to call me Sess? You know I hate it.Now what do you want human?"
At that point she had her hands crossed over her chest and a scowl on her face.
"Ok fine,whatever Sesshoumaru.All I wanted to know was if you wanted to go outside and play.I know I'm only eight and you're nine but one year doesn't mean you can be mean to me!"
she pouted and turned around acting like she was crying.
"Hey now Megami don't cry....I mean stop crying it makes you look weak.If we're going, let's go already."
I casually walked out the door heading for outside~

It was almost sunset as the three finally arrived at the village.
"It looks the same as before.I hope Megami has not moved."He turned towards Rin and Jaken,"You two go do as you please,I have business to attend to."
The small toad nodded,"Yes melord."
Rin just nodded her head and ran off towards the nearest group of small children.
Sesshoumaru walked around remembering his childhood and his old home.
"I wonder if Megami has married?"
'Stop thinking like that! Why do you care?'.
He shook his head free of the thought and walked towards Megami's house.
~I remember Megami always having been a frail girl.She couldn't play long because of her health but she came out to see me anyways.I'm sure it was hard for her but she wanted to see me that much....It's so strange, it was as if she actually cared if I was happy or not.~
Sesshoumaru knocked on Megami's door and called out,"Megami?Are you home?It's Sesshoumaru."
With that the door opened slightly.The woman gasped and fully opened the door realizing who it was.She smiled warmly,brightly.It made Sesshoumaru realatively happy.
"Sess it really is you.You came back after twelve years,I was wondering what had happened to you."
She coughed slightly and fell into Sesshoumaru's arms.She had fainted.
"Oh Megami I'm sorry,I knew you were frail but I didn't think you'd faint on me."
He frowned yet his eyes softened almost smiled at the girl,no woman, in his arms.He held her close and carried her inside."You poor thing,you look worse than before...What could have happened to you?"He was concerned but knew she was okay.
"This is kind of like that time all those years ago."He grinned in spite of himself."Well I wonder where Megami's bath is?"
He searched around her small but nicely furnished house for a cloth.He found a cold cloth and put it on her head.He patiently waited for her to wake up while thinking of his past.

She smiled as she ran toward Sesshoumaru,"Oh wow you're actually outside today!That's wonderful, you know I rarely ever see you out here."
He stopped where he stood."Oh Megami it's you.It's a nice day today is it not?I was considering calling on you,I had thought maybe I would send one of Father's servants to escort you here so we could have lunch in Step-Mother's garden."He blushed abit at what he had just said.He was actually being nice,but it was alright he was sure Megami wouldn't tell anyone.
"Oh yes Sesshoumaru about lunch...,"She paused abit and grabbed a small bag from over her shoulder,"I made you lunch!I cooked it myself,it's my first meal made alone and I was wondering if you wanted it.Mother and Father had been very proud of me and I thought you might be too."She beamed with excitement.
He walked infront of Megami and took the boxed lunches."Megami thank you for your kindness,let's go to the garden as I had hoped.You seem to be learning alot lately.You will make a good house wife one day."
Megami stopped shocked at what he said...house wife?....Sesshoumaru had not realized what he said and kept walking thinking of Megami's new found talents.
"Oi!Sesshoumaru wait up!"She ran with her hand extended as if trying to reach out for him,"you know I can't run fast..Or I'll....,"she fell over on the ground,she was not fainted but very weak.
"Oh God!Megami are you alright?"He rushed to her side and lifted her arms around his neck and hugged her close trying to hurry her back to his room to help her,"Megami don't worry you'll be fine,I'm here with you now."
"Thank you Sesshoumaru,but there is not reason to trouble yourself over...."she fainted in his arms.
"Megami...dammit....don't do this to me!"He was halfway to his room by now.
'Almost there,then Megami will be ok'He felt Megami's arms tighten around him.
"Sesshoumaru....please...don't...leave..me."She snuggled close to him as if seeking protection.
"Megami?What are you saying?"He was in his room now.He gently laid her down on the bed.
"Megami are you saying you want to be with me?"He gently brushed away the hair that covered her eyes.He shivered from the touch,it felt like golden silk.He ran his fingers down her cheek and close to her lips but pulled back.
"Megami?Please answer me.."He looked at her face and found she was still asleep,she had been dreaming.....
"Oh I see...none the less I must take care of you now."He walked to his bathroom and grabbed one of his cloths that hung on a small rack and wetted it with cold water.
"This should do for now but the cloth will get warm again..."He walked back to his bed and sat on the edge but still close enough to Megami to see she was sweating.He laid the cloth on her head and headed towards the bathroom again to get a small bucket of cold water to keep the cloth cold.
"Sesshoumaru...please no...you can't leave me here alone...."She raised her hand to her forehead and stirred abit.
Sesshoumaru cautiously walked towards Megami praying she wouldn't wake."Megami do not worry,I am right here.I won't leave you not, now not ever.Please don't worry."He gazed at her delicate features,she was about 13 now but she looked about 15,her golden hair had become longer and more fine.She always had it up in a half bun now.As his eyes roamed over her face he realized her cheeks were flushed and her lips seemed to be moving,trying to form sentences.
"Megami I'm sorry,I knew you couldn't run after that tiresome journey here but I made you anyways.Please forgive me."
He leaned down and layed one of his hands on her cheek and with the other he drew Megami closer and kissed her.He couldn't help himself,she was just so beautiful.He ran his fingers through her hair,he could feel her respond to his touch.He pulled his head back but still kept Megami in the same position.
"Oh Megami....I'm sorry,I didn't mean to kiss you like that,I just...,"He cast his eyes downwards,for the first time in his life he was ashamed of himself.He was blushing and he knew it,he couldn't stop the emotions running through his head.What were these emtions though? Guilt beacuse he had kissed her while she was asleep? Shame because he had taken advantage of her? Excitement from kissing her? Or was it love? What was it exactly?
"Sesshoumaru,there is no need to apologize.I kind of liked it,oh my god I'm sorry,"she was blushing alot," I must sound like an idiot right now."She smiled then laughed nervously.Sesshoumaru laughed lightly.
"Megami you never cease to amaze me.Now that your awake shall we have lunch?"He was smiling at Megami because she had looked at him funny when he had laughed.

She did not wake until the next morning.
"Wha...What happened?" She looked around abit dazed and spotted Sesshoumaru,she let her vision focus on him.
"Oh Sesshoumaru it really is you.I thought it might have been a dream or something,"she leaned up and shook her head clear,"How have you been lately?"
He smiled lightly,"You know Megami you really should lay down,and I was just about to ask you the same thing.But I have been doing well,I have a small child following me around now though.She's alot like you when you were young.But Megami please tell what has happened to you.You seem worse then when you were a child."
Her eyes showed disbelief then a sort of sadness.
"So you have a kid...What a lucky woman your wife must be,I'm sure you're all happy,but anyways to answer your question."
Sesshoumaru was actually blushing but stopped her sentence,"No Megami you've got it wrong.I don't have a wife,the child was adopted you could say."
She smiled,"Oh I see but anyways the reason I'm weaker is because when I had recovered from that illness as a teenager I went out in search of you.I had traveled village to village wondering if anyone had seen you.So one day I was walking along a forest path.I heard something coming from the bushes so I started running and that's when I was attacked by a demon.He had bit my neck and clawed my body badly.I had alot of major injuries and I had lost alot of blood.So I guess I never completely recovered from everything..."
He was frowning at the story.It was all his fault for Megami's health.
"I'm sorry Megami, I am."
She laughed,"Oh come on now!This isn't the Sessoumaru I know.The Great Lord Sesshoumaru would not be apologizing to the likes of a mere mortal."She couldn't help laughing at Sesshoumaru's helpless face.
"But in all seriousness Sesshoumaru,"
she laid her hand on his,
"I'm glad you came to me.I really am."
She lifted her hand away and laid it on her heart.
"I didn't think you'd come back for me...I mean you'd come back!Not for me...."
she just stopped talking knowing she was bright red already.
"Megami don't be stupid.How could I forget my childhood home?And my only friend."
Megami looked surprised.
"What?Did you just say....Oh Sesshoumaru! You called me your friend.You don't know how happy it makes me!"
she got up and moved to him just to hug him.
"Megami?What...what are you doing?"He said somewhat emotionless.
He lifted her hands from around him.
"Oh I'm sorry Sesshoumaru.I wasn't thinking.Well anyways would you like some tea?"
She didn't even wait for a reply,she was just trying to get out of that akward situation.Sesshoumaru began to raise his hand in protest of her leaving but instead he just sat there.
"Megami?Were is your family?I noticed it was quiet around here."
Megami entered the room carring a tray of green tea and some muffins.
"What family?I never got married..and all of my relatives are dead now."
She looked down at the tea in her hands.
Sesshoumaru glanced down at the tray.He saw his reflection in the tea,he didn't look as cold as he usually did.How strange it was for him to be like this,so open and talking freely.
"I didn't know..."
While he was looking at his reflection he looked towards Megami's tea knowing it would be reflecting her face because of the angle she held it from.Her cheeks were glistening.Was she....?Was she crying?
"Megami are you crying?What's wrong?"
He lost all sense of what he was doing and moved to where she was sitting and hugged her close.
"Did I make you cry?Why are you crying?Is something wrong?"
The petite woman was sobbing,she didn't know why.She didn't want to cry like this in front of him but she couldn't help it.She clung closer to him.
"Oh Sesshoumaru,I thought you had left me.I thought you'd found someone to love,someone that wasn't me."
Sesshoumaru's eyes widened at what she was saying.
"Megami...."
She cut him off
"No please listen.Ever since I got to know you I loved you.I didn't care what or who you were.I just knew I loved you.But then I became so ill and you left.You were just here one day and gone the next.I kept a small hope in my heart you would return and that's what kept me alive.It still is.I've been living for you all my life.I know you probably don't feel the same way but still I wanted you to know."
He actually felt a.....tear......fall down his face.He hadn't known she'd cared for him that much.
"Megami,I didn't know.If I had I never would have left you.No I shouldn't lie,I've always loved you and somewhere deep in my heart I knew you loved me too.I just didn't know how to handle it.Please find it in your heart to forgive me."
He was surprised at the words that came out of his mouth.This must have been why he kept remembering her...he...was in love with her.But was it possible?No it shouldn't be.I'm demon,she's human.I can't do this.But it all feels so right.He sighed.
"I don't care what I am or what you are.Megami would you please stay with me?Stay with me until the day we both should part from this world? I don't want to force this on you.But I've realized that I love you and I don't want to leave you or hurt you ever again.I want to be there for you to protect you and hold you.I want to be with you but only if you won't rufuse me."
She smiled meekly and replied,
"Yes I do want to be with you.I could never refuse you..I want you to be happy with me."
He nodded.This must be what it's like to love someone,to find someone you want to be with.It was confusing and abit scary even for him but he didn't care.He was actually going to be happy for once in his life......
"Megami you realize I do not age as fast as you,do you not?"
She sighed and gave a sad look,"Yes I know and I know I wil die before you but still I don't mind as long as we're together."
He held her close and stroked her hair,"You know Megami I can fix that,I can make it to were you and I can live for all of eternity together.But I can only do it with you permission."
She beamed with joy,"Oh yes,whatever it takes.I trust you completely.But what do I have to do?"She was quite eager.
"We will have to share a blood link,a strong bond that will tie us together heart and soul."He grimaced knowing that anyway this procedure took it's course it would hurt.
"Sesshoumaru don't look so worried,I'm sure by what you say it will hurt but I'm ready for it."She smiled at him reassuringly.
He bit his lip with the tip of his fang to the point of bleeding abit,it only felt like a pinch to him but to Megami it might be different.He wasn't sure how her blood would react to his blood so he braced her tightly and bit her lip until it bled.Then he kissed her deeply feeling the blood pass between them creating an unbreakable link.Her body shivered as if she was cold so he wraped his fluffy tail around her to comfort her.She smiled and pulled back.
"Thank you Sesshoumaru for everthing..."she laid her head on his chest.
He couldn't reply,he had nothing to say.He just wanted to embrace her like this forever.

"This should do for now but the cloth will get warm again..."He walked back to his bed and sat on the edge but still close enough to Megami to see she was sweating.He laid the cloth on her head and headed towards the bathroom again to get a small bucket of cold water to keep the cloth cold.
"Sesshoumaru...please no...you can't leave me here alone...."She raised her hand to her forehead and stirred abit.
Sesshoumaru cautiously walked towards Megami praying she wouldn't wake."Megami do not worry,I am right here.I won't leave you not, now not ever.Please don't worry."He gazed at her delicate features,she was about 13 now but she looked about 15,her golden hair had become longer and more fine.She always had it up in a half bun now.As his eyes roamed over her face he realized her cheeks were flushed and her lips seemed to be moving,trying to form sentences.
"Megami I'm sorry,I knew you couldn't run after that tiresome journey here but I made you anyways.Please forgive me."
He leaned down and layed one of his hands on her cheek and with the other he drew Megami closer and kissed her.He couldn't help himself,she was just so beautiful.He ran his fingers through her hair,he could feel her respond to his touch.He pulled his head back but still kept Megami in the same position.
"Oh Megami....I'm sorry,I didn't mean to kiss you like that,I just...,"He cast his eyes downwards,for the first time in his life he was ashamed of himself.He was blushing and he knew it,he couldn't stop the emotions running through his head.What were these emtions though? Guilt beacuse he had kissed her while she was asleep? Shame because he had taken advantage of her? Excitement from kissing her? Or was it love? What was it exactly?
"Sesshoumaru,there is no need to apologize.I kind of liked it,oh my god I'm sorry,"she was blushing alot," I must sound like an idiot right now."She smiled then laughed nervously.Sesshoumaru laughed lightly.
"Megami you never cease to amaze me.Now that your awake shall we have lunch?"He was smiling at Megami because she had looked at him funny when he had laughed.

She did not wake until the next morning.
"Wha...What happened?" She looked around abit dazed and spotted Sesshoumaru,she let her vision focus on him.
"Oh Sesshoumaru it really is you.I thought it might have been a dream or something,"she leaned up and shook her head clear,"How have you been lately?"
He smiled lightly,"You know Megami you really should lay down,and I was just about to ask you the same thing.But I have been doing well,I have a small child following me around now though.She's alot like you when you were young.But Megami please tell what has happened to you.You seem worse then when you were a child."
Her eyes showed disbelief then a sort of sadness.
"So you have a kid...What a lucky woman your wife must be,I'm sure you're all happy,but anyways to answer your question."
Sesshoumaru was actually blushing but stopped her sentence,"No Megami you've got it wrong.I don't have a wife,the child was adopted you could say."
She smiled,"Oh I see but anyways the reason I'm weaker is because when I had recovered from that illness as a teenager I went out in search of you.I had traveled village to village wondering if anyone had seen you.So one day I was walking along a forest path.I heard something coming from the bushes so I started running and that's when I was attacked by a demon.He had bit my neck and clawed my body badly.I had alot of major injuries and I had lost alot of blood.So I guess I never completely recovered from everything..."
He was frowning at the story.It was all his fault for Megami's health.
"I'm sorry Megami, I am."
She laughed,"Oh come on now!This isn't the Sessoumaru I know.The Great Lord Sesshoumaru would not be apologizing to the likes of a mere mortal."She couldn't help laughing at Sesshoumaru's helpless face.
"But in all seriousness Sesshoumaru,"
she laid her hand on his,
"I'm glad you came to me.I really am."
She lifted her hand away and laid it on her heart.
"I didn't think you'd come back for me...I mean you'd come back!Not for me...."
she just stopped talking knowing she was bright red already.
"Megami don't be stupid.How could I forget my childhood home?And my only friend."
Megami looked surprised.
"What?Did you just say....Oh Sesshoumaru! You called me your friend.You don't know how happy it makes me!"
she got up and moved to him just to hug him.
"Megami?What...what are you doing?"He said somewhat emotionless.
He lifted her hands from around him.
"Oh I'm sorry Sesshoumaru.I wasn't thinking.Well anyways would you like some tea?"
She didn't even wait for a reply,she was just trying to get out of that akward situation.Sesshoumaru began to raise his hand in protest of her leaving but instead he just sat there.
"Megami?Were is your family?I noticed it was quiet around here."
Megami entered the room carring a tray of green tea and some muffins.
"What family?I never got married..and all of my relatives are dead now."
She looked down at the tea in her hands.
Sesshoumaru glanced down at the tray.He saw his reflection in the tea,he didn't look as cold as he usually did.How strange it was for him to be like this,so open and talking freely.
"I didn't know..."
While he was looking at his reflection he looked towards Megami's tea knowing it would be reflecting her face because of the angle she held it from.Her cheeks were glistening.Was she....?Was she crying?
"Megami are you crying?What's wrong?"
He lost all sense of what he was doing and moved to where she was sitting and hugged her close.
"Did I make you cry?Why are you crying?Is something wrong?"
The petite woman was sobbing,she didn't know why.She didn't want to cry like this in front of him but she couldn't help it.She clung closer to him.
"Oh Sesshoumaru,I thought you had left me.I thought you'd found someone to love,someone that wasn't me."
Sesshoumaru's eyes widened at what she was saying.
"Megami...."
She cut him off
"No please listen.Ever since I got to know you I loved you.I didn't care what or who you were.I just knew I loved you.But then I became so ill and you left.You were just here one day and gone the next.I kept a small hope in my heart you would return and that's what kept me alive.It still is.I've been living for you all my life.I know you probably don't feel the same way but still I wanted you to know."
He actually felt a.....tear......fall down his face.He hadn't known she'd cared for him that much.
"Megami,I didn't know.If I had I never would have left you.No I shouldn't lie,I've always loved you and somewhere deep in my heart I knew you loved me too.I just didn't know how to handle it.Please find it in your heart to forgive me."
He was surprised at the words that came out of his mouth.This must have been why he kept remembering her...he...was in love with her.But was it possible?No it shouldn't be.I'm demon,she's human.I can't do this.But it all feels so right.He sighed.
"I don't care what I am or what you are.Megami would you please stay with me?Stay with me until the day we both should part from this world? I don't want to force this on you.But I've realized that I love you and I don't want to leave you or hurt you ever again.I want to be there for you to protect you and hold you.I want to be with you but only if you won't rufuse me."
She smiled meekly and replied,
"Yes I do want to be with you.I could never refuse you..I want you to be happy with me."
He nodded.This must be what it's like to love someone,to find someone you want to be with.It was confusing and abit scary even for him but he didn't care.He was actually going to be happy for once in his life......
"Megami you realize I do not age as fast as you,do you not?"
She sighed and gave a sad look,"Yes I know and I know I wil die before you but still I don't mind as long as we're together."
He held her close and stroked her hair,"You know Megami I can fix that,I can make it to were you and I can live for all of eternity together.But I can only do it with you permission."
She beamed with joy,"Oh yes,whatever it takes.I trust you completely.But what do I have to do?"She was quite eager.
"We will have to share a blood link,a strong bond that will tie us together heart and soul."He grimaced knowing that anyway this procedure took it's course it would hurt.
"Sesshoumaru don't look so worried,I'm sure by what you say it will hurt but I'm ready for it."She smiled at him reassuringly.
He bit his lip with the tip of his fang to the point of bleeding abit,it only felt like a pinch to him but to Megami it might be different.He wasn't sure how her blood would react to his blood so he braced her tightly and bit her lip until it bled.Then he kissed her deeply feeling the blood pass between them creating an unbreakable link.Her body shivered as if she was cold so he wraped his fluffy tail around her to comfort her.She smiled and pulled back.
"Thank you Sesshoumaru for everthing..."she laid her head on his chest.
He couldn't reply,he had nothing to say.He just wanted to embrace her like this forever.
