Leyna wiped her tears away as she climbed out of her bed. She stood there thinking about what she should do. She decided she needed fresh air, and she knew just where to go. First, she needed to change. She looked at her shirt and noticed part of it was torn. Leyna rummaged for a shirt and settled on a quarter-sleeve, deep green shirt. She walked over to her dresser and Put her hair in a low ponytail. She picked up her sketchbook and artist's pencils, putting them in her leather shoulder-bag. She figured it might get chilly, so she grabbed her leather jacket and headed downstairs. She walked past the living room where Jack was still watching TV. She grabbed her car keys from the counter and opened the door, only to see her "mom" walking up the driveway.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"Out."
"Get your ass back in this house, right now young lady!" Leyna just continued walking out to her car. She got in and started the car. She rolled down her windows, put in her Evanescence cd, and drove off. She left the city limits and didn't stop until she came to a gravel road. She kept driving until she came to an old horse ranch. As she got out of the car she was greeted by a familiar face.
"Hey Grandpa." she greeted the old man as he hugged her.
"Well, haven't seen you in a few months. Astrid really misses you."
"I know, I was busy getting re-settled...again. I wondered if I could take Astrid out for a ride. "
"Sure. Oh, if you meet a young gentleman out on the trails, tell him he can come back anytime."
"Thanks Grandpa." Leyna took off in a run towards the barn. She stopped in the middle of the barn and looked for astrid's stall. It was empty, which meant she was out grazing. Leyna walked out towards the pasture, looking for Astrid. She spotted her and let out a low, loud whistle. Astrid's head flew up, and she came running towards Leyna. Leyna smiled when she saw the painted horse. She was a soft tan and white with a ten mane. Her eyes were an odd blue. On her almost entirely tan forehead, there was a star. Astrid nuzzled her head aginst Leyna's neck and shoulder.
" i figured you missed me. i missed you too, girl. How about a ride up to the creek?" At Leyna's question, Astrid whinnied and nodded her head. Leyna looked in Astrid's eyes, and Astrid knelt on her knees. Leyna climbed onto her back and firmly grasped her mane as Astrid rose. Leyna made a clicking sound with her tongue and Astrid took off in a run. Leyna's worries flew out of her mind as they rode through fields and then the woods. They stopped in a small clearing. Astrid knelt once more and Leyna got down. She patted the horse's side and Astrid walked over to the creek and sarted to drink. Leyna sat down by an oak tree with her back against its trunk. She pulled her sketch book and a pencil out of her bag. She took a deep breath and began to sketch a picture of the mother and child from her vision. Before long, the sketch was complete. Leyna was amazed at well it turned out. She sat it down and looked over at Astrid. The horse had laid down and gone to sleep. Leyna followed her example and laid her head back and closed her eyes. Soon she was asleep. Leyna dreamnt of Inuyasha. She was awoken by the sound of twigs breaking behind her. She sat up, looking for Astrid. The mare was still asleep. Leyna slowly stood up and looked behind her. She couldn't see anyone, but she was still very nervous. As she looked around, she felt someone grab her from behind, with a hand on her shoulder. She screamed, grabbed the hand and flipped the guy over. She didn't even look at the guy, but grabbed her book and pencil, shoving them into the bag. By this time, Astrid had awoken. Leyna jumped onto the back of the now standing horse and Astrid took off into a fast run. Leyna looked back, only to see the guy now on a horse, coming after her. She signaled for Astrid to pick up speed. Astrid suddenly Stopped, and bucked up in fright. In front of them was another man. They were now surrounded by the men. The man in front spoke in a husky, english voice.
"Better get off that horse there, poppet."
"Like Hell I will!" with that Astrid took off in her fastest gallop. Astrid didn't stop until she was in the barn. Leyna jumped down, put Astrid back in the pasture and ran out to her car. She got in, started the engine, and drove away. When she got home, she was still shaking. If those men were who she thought they were, she was going to have to move again.

Inuyasha sat up in his bed, sweat dripping from his face. He had fallen asleep, but was awaken by a strange dream. He had dreamnt of Leyna, but she was in danger. He turned on his light and picked up the phone, dialing her number. The phone rang, but there was no answer. Inuyasha hung up and grabbed his coat. He ran outside and got into his car. He drove towards her house, without stopping. When he got there, her car was there and the front door was standing open. Inuyasha ran into the house, yelling for Leyna. The house was wrecked and, she didn't answer. Jack and his mother were nowhere in sight as well. Inuyasha ran upstairs, only to find Leyna's room torn apart. Her sketches and paintings had been ripped from the wall and her bed was in pieces. He knew she hadn't left of free will. Inuyasha was about to leave when he saw a note on the floor.
'Inuyasha, don't call the cops. They won't help me. A group of Englishmen followed me home. I just had another vision. They're on their way here and I won't be here when you arrive. I made it look like I left in a hurry. I'm really at my Aunt Kaede's. You probaly remember where she lives. Please, come meet me there. Leyna.' Inuyasha put the note in his pocket and walked outside. He didn't believe the note. It didn't look like her writing and she wouldn't have torn her pictures from the wall like that. She took great care of her pictures, she would have taken them with her. He decided he would drive over to Kaede's. When he got there, the house was completely empty. He deiced to look around. He looked in the windows, but there was no sign of life.
"Can I help you young man?" Inuyasha turned around to see Kaede standing there.
"Kaede, why is your house empty?"
"I moved. Is something wrong, child?"
"Your neice, Leyna is missing. I went by her house and it was ransacked. there was a note saying she was here."
"I haven't seen her in several years, child. I'm sorry. Maybe you should look for her." At that Inuyasha got in his car and drove away. He picked up his cell phone and dialed Miroku's number.
"Hello?"
"Miroku, it's Inuyasha. Leyna's missing."
"What?"
"I went by her house and it was ransacked. I need you to call everyone else. We have to drive everywhere around the city and look for her. It might take a while, but I am going to make sure she's safe."
"Okay Inuyasha, I'll call you if I find her." They both hung up and Inuyasha decided to check back at her house.could hear them talking, and smell their cheap cologne. She also dedected a hint of alcohol on their breath. She cursed them for blindfolding her. She didn't know where she was. She did know that she bond to a chair. By the way their voices echoed off the walls, she knew she was in a concrete room. One of the men walked over to her and ran his hand down her body. Leyna, sensing where he stood, shot a blast of fire at him, which only made matters worse.
"You stupid bitch!" he screamed at her as he slapped her across the face.
"Dude, you deserved it."
"Shut up! I can't beleive they think she was born of angels."
'Born of angels? That's what they said in my vision about the child. Could I have been the child?' Leyna thought.
"You bastards are obviously idiots as well" She said, just wanting to piss them off. As suspected, they both walked over to her, ready to beat her...again. Leyna took advantage of the moment, knowing where they stood allowed her to use her powers. The men were flung against the wall and knocked out. Leyna knew she didn't have much time, so she began to focus her attention on the ropes that were binding her hands and feet. In her mind, she could see the ropes and how the knots were tied. She visualized the knots being untied. The rope dropped from her hands and feet. Leyna tried to stand, but her body was very sore. When she stood, pain soared through her body. She winced at the pain, but knew she had to get out of there. She looked around the room, and found the door. She forced herself to walk towards it. She turned the knob, opened it, and walked out of the door. Suprisingly, there were no more guards around the room. The hallway went to her right and to her left. She had no idea as to which way to go. She stopped and sought the way in her mind. She went to the left. She walked slowly down the hallway. It eneded at a metal door. She swung it open to see the night sky.
