InuYasha Fan Fiction / Fan Fiction ❯ Dreams of Reality ❯ Father ( Chapter 7 )
Leyna was suprised when the vision hit her. It was slowly coming into view. She could no longer see Inuyasha's room, but she was still concious.(sp) Suddenly, a scene began to play in her mind. Leyna was in chains. She couldn't move anything except for her head. She was surrounded by darkness. Suddenly the door burst open. Leyna looked up to see a man..no a demon holding Inuyasha by the neck. He threw Inuyasha down onto the concrete floor and walked over to leyna. He undid her chains and ripped the beads off of her wrist.Leyna's eyes grew wide, not wanting what was about to happen to take place. He walked back over to Inuyasha and kicked him in the stomach. Leyna cried out in pain. The demon picked inuyasha up and threw him hard against the wall. Once again Leyna screamed in pain.
"Stop! I'll do what you want Naraku, just leave him alone."
Leyna blinked as her vision returned. She felt a little weak in the knees. She was able to stop herself from falling. She decided to tell Inuyasha about the vision.
Later they were sitting at the kitchen table and Leyna had just finished telling him about the vision. At the mention of Naraku's name, Inuyasha had clenched his fists and refused to look her in the eyes.
"You've heard of him haven't you? Because i sure as hell haven't. I only know his name from that vision and last night's dream." Inuyasha looked up at her.
"What happened in the dream?"
"He basically said that Azarah wil be his this time."
"I have met Naraku. He's a fucking bastard. He challenged me last year at one of our sword competitions. He called me Inumarro."
"He just gave me the creeps. I don't feel like eating breakfast now. I think I'll just start unpacking."
"Oh, well I already brought all of your boxes in."
"Thanks." Inuyasha watched her walk upstairs.
'I can't believe she's back. I will never let him have her.'
Leyna had everything unpacked in an hour. She sat down on the bed and remembered that she didn't know where her so called mom and Jack were. She figured that they probaly came home, saw the mess, and left for their own safety.
'Just like last time.'
"So, what do you want to do today?" Leyna looked up to see Inuyasha leaning in the doorway.
"Well, before the attack I was hoping to hang out with everybody and get to know them."
"You don't want to just hang with me?"
Leyna knew exactly what he meant by that.
"We'll have time for that later. I promise." Leyna was shocked when Inuyasha jumped onto her, knocking her back. He grabbed her hands at placed them above her head. He was straddling her hips.
"Inuyasha.." her sentence was cut short by his lips crashing into hers. Inuyasha's tongue swept across her lips and Leyna allowed him to enter. She brushed her tongue across his fangs, sending chills up her spine.
'God I missed her taste.' Inuyasha thought to himself. They broke apart gasping for air. Inuyasha looked into Leyna's eyes to see the beautiful lavender. He also saw a hint of lust.
"I take it you enjoyed it as much as I did?" he asked. Leyna simply smiled up at him. Inuyasha leaned back in for another kiss, but was interrupted by Maria.
"Master Inuyasha, I'm so sorry to intrude, but your father has returned." Inuyasha looked at Maria and just simply nodded his head. He got up from the bed and helped Leyna up.
"Want me to go with you?"
"Sure. It's probaly not going to be pretty."
"How are you going to explain me to him.?"
"Dunno." Leyna just sighed and followed him downstairs. Inuyasha's father was in his study, the room Leyna had recognized. The man looked like an adult Sesshomaru. He was sitting at his desk looking over some files, he looked up when they walked in.
"Inuyasha, who exactly is this?"
"She's my girlfriend Ley.."
"What happened to Miss Higurashi?"
"Sorry sir, but she cheated on him." Leyna spoke up, using her calmest voice possible. Inuyasha's father looked her over before asking, "Perhaps you can tell me who you are young lady?"
"I am Leyna Williams, sir. I use to go to Junior High with your son and just recently moved back here."
"Leyna? I remember my son caring greatly for you. So you're back now? Where are you living?"
"She was living in the West district, but she was attacked."
"Attacked? Oh, because of your powers?"
"Yes sir, but I prefer to call them the curse."
"I can understand that."
"Um, she needs to stay here, father. I can't allow her to go back to that house alone. "
"Inuyasha, I'm surprised at you. You would normally be yelling that at me, not calmly telling me."
"Can she stay or not?"
"she can, but I need to discuss something with you. In private." Leyna took the hint and left the room. She noticed a doorway she hadn't seen before. She opened the door, greeted by sunlight. She blinked, allowing her eyes to adjust to the brightness. She gasped as she saw hues of every color. She was in a flower garden, so beautiful. She was engulfed with hues of purple, blue, red, and yellow. She dook a deep breath and was greeted by a intoxicating smell of many different plants. Ever since she could remember, just the smell of flowers was able to calm her senses. Leyna walked around the garden amazed at the different variety of flowers. She spotted a tall, elegant weeping willow with its branches sweeping across a pond. She wondered over to it and climbed into its branches. There seemed a perfect spot just for a person to sit and reflect.
"Inuyasha, do you remember the two swords that have been passed down in our family for generations?" Inuyasha simply nodded, his mind filled with thoughts of Leyna. He just wanted to find her and finish what they had started.
"Inuyasha. Please focus. It has become evident that a great foe has awakened again. You will need to train with the sword that is meant for you. Tomorrow evening, you and Sesshomaru need to be home before sunset. Then, you will learn which sword is yours."
"Why do we have to be here before sunset?"
"It's a new moon tomorrow Inuyasha. You have to do it before the sun sets. You can go now. Oh, don't let that girl get away this time Inuyasha. She's a keeper."
Inuyasha nodded and ran out the door. He stood in the hall, sniffing the air. She wasn't in the hous, but her scent lingered by the back door. He went outside and found her sitting in the willow. A smile crept across his face when he saw her with her face pointed to the sun, eyes closed, hair blowing gently across her face. He couldn't help thinking that she looked angelic. He slowly walked over to her, standing beside the tree.
"Hey there Yash."
"Hey red. What are doing?"
"Wishing it was a full moon I was sitting under, not the sun." Leyna never liked the sun much. Her skin was pale, so too much exposure burned her delicate skin. She turned to him and faced him.
"What did your father want?" she asked, even though she already knew. HIs thoughts about what his father had told him were sounding in her head.
"It's time for a couple of family heirlooms to be passed on to me and Sesshomaru. That's all." Leyna smiled at him. She didn't want to tell him about her newly discovered abilities.
"So, you still want to hang out with everyone today, or would you rather we finish what we started?" Leyna looked away, trying to hide the crimson of her cheeks. She failed miserablly.
"I think I'd like to finish that later tonight. First, I just want to get to know everybody. Oh, where is Sess?"
"Probably with Rin. I'll call them and we can all head to the mall for a movie and some pizza." He got closer to leyna, making her blush deepen. He leaned in to her ear, his hot breath caressing her skin as he spoke,
"I'll hold you to your promise." With that he walked away back into the house to make the calls. Leyna looked down and realized she hated going out in a skirt. She jumped down and began to walk into the house. A shiver ran down her spine and it felt like she was being watched. She turned around only to find a hawk sitting in another tree, but it was staring right at her. She was a little creeped out, but ran into the house to change.
