Sesshoumaru sat in class the same day after lunch. <Math, I hate math.> Looking down at the last 5 problems of his homework, he found himself thinking about Kagome. <What the heck! Why am I thinking about her again?>

Suddenly, the door opened. Sesshoumaru, along with the rest of his class, looked to see who had come in. "Oh, it's just a tenth grader!" said the boy next to Sesshoumaru as he went back to his work. Yet, Sesshoumaru was fixated. It was Kagome! Pretending to look back at his homework, he stared at her as she made her way to the front of the room and to Ms. Hiroshima's desk.

`Why are they all staring at me?' Kagome carefully approached the desk. Handing Ms. Hiroshima a slip of paper, Kagome looked around the room. A normal twelfth grade classroom. Suddenly, she saw something out of the corner of her eye that made her blush for some reason. Sesshoumaru! To her surprise, she saw him staring at her too. Their eyes made contact as Ms. Hiroshima handed Kagome another piece of paper. "Thank you, Ms. Kagome."

With that, Kagome took her leave, feeling Sesshoumaru's eyes follow her all the way out the room.

Finally, the end of the day. Kagome sighed as she reviewed over her day. Science with Miroku, locker incident with Inuyasha, lunch incident with Kikyo, lunch with Sesshoumaru…and going to Sesshoumaru's math class…She blushed as she thought about Sesshoumaru. Why was she doing this? Blushing every time she was near him or thought about him! How weird. `Wait a second! I have a study date with Inuyasha! There's no way Kikyo can mess that up!' With that she scurried down to Inuyasha's locker.

Upon arrival, she saw Inuyasha, alone this time. "Hey Inuyasha!" Inuyasha looked up at Kagome, waved, and smiled. "So, you ready?" Inuyasha's face turned totally blank. "Ready for what, Kagome-chan?" "Our study date? We've had it planned for a week!" "Oh, that…" Inuyasha put his hand behind his head as he wondered what to do.

`What's his problem?'

Just then, Kikyo came up to Inuyasha and grabbed his arm. "Come on, Inuyasha! I'm ready!"

"What is this, Inuyasha?" Kagome questioned with tears forming in her eyes. "I-uh…agreed to go to the movies with Kikyo." Pulling away from Kikyo's grasp, Inuyasha tried to explain. "Kagome, she said that no one would go with her and-" "No Masaharu! She could have anyone to go with her! She has nearly all the guys at the tip of her fingers! Don't even try to explain! It's over Inuyasha!" With that, she left a stunned Inuyasha with a very happy looking Kikyo.

Running back to her dorm, Kagome had tears streaming down her cheeks. `How could he? I thought…I thought…I can't believe him!' She began to slow down and, out in the middle of the courtyard, she completed stopped, still crying like there was no tomorrow. Just then, Miroku came up behind her <A/N- Just in case you're wondering, yes. Miroku did have something perverted planned before he saw her crying.> and placed his hand on her shoulder. "What's the matter, Kagome?" Wiping the tears from her eyes, she tried to stop crying. "Nothing, I'm perfectly fine…" But the more she tried to stop crying, the more she cried. With a smirk, Miroku replied. "That's the biggest lie I've ever heard, Kagome-chan! Come on, tell me what's wrong." "NOTHING!" She tore away from Miroku and began to run again.

Sesshoumaru had watched the whole incident from afar. He could tell it was the same boy in the hallway, but he did not know it was Kagome who was now running. Suddenly, he heard something, tears. Tears from this girl. He looked back to Miroku, who now had his arm out stretched to Kagome and began to follow her. He looked back to the girl and saw she now had slowed her pace down to a steady walk. And she was headed his direction! <Great. All I need is an emotional girl on my hands.> With that, he turned to walk away before he saw something.

Kagome moved the hair that was sticking to her face behind her ear as she headed up the hill. She was still crying but not as loudly as before. Sniffling, she walked into whoever it was in front of her. As she fell to the ground along with her books, she just sat there on the ground, crying with her face in her hands.

Sesshoumaru knelt <A/N- And I mean, knelt> and picked up her books for her. "What's the matter, Kagome?" She said nothing but only stood with her head bowed. Kagome took her books from Sesshoumaru and began to walk away. But then, <A/N- Hold onto your Sesshoumaru's!> Sesshoumaru grabbed her arm and pulled her back towards him. Kagome clutched her books to her chest and showed no resistance but still sobbed. Putting his hands on her shoulders, Sesshoumaru bent to try and look Kagome in the eye.

"What is the matter, Kagome?" He questioned again. This time, Kagome spoke up. "Nothing, just a jerk, that's all." As if on cue, Miroku topped the hill and fell over unconscious from trying to catch up with Kagome. Chuckling to herself, Kagome pulled away from Sesshoumaru. Looking up at him, she thanked him. Then, she walked away.

And then, a huge herd of girls came running and trampled and stood all over the downed Miroku and stared and giggled at Sesshoumaru. But, for the first time, Sesshoumaru did not pay attention to them or mock them for their foolishness. He was too busy staring after Kagome.

An hour later, Kagome was feeling like her old self again. Except she couldn't forget what had happened with Sesshoumaru. Clutching her books to her chest and blushing, she walked into the main hall. If Inuyasha was too busy to study with her, she would study alone!

She headed to the library and avoided many glares from her fellow and older classmates. Her face was still tear stained. `Hm…maybe I'll stop by the bathroom really quick to get rid of these tear stains.' She ducked into the ladies room just as Inuyasha walked by the library.

A couple minutes later, Kagome stepped out of the bathroom with a tear-stained free face. Smiling, she headed into the library. Upon entry, she looked around for somewhere she could study. `No, I don't like them. Oh great, Miroku's at that table. Hm…' Then, behind a pile of books and papers, she saw Sesshoumaru chewing on the end of a pen. She decided to go and study with him.

Setting her books down on a free space at the table, she looked at Sesshoumaru. "Can I sit here?" "Uh…sure." Kagome sat down and began to talk to Sesshoumaru. "So, do you know anything about math? I need help." "Yeah." Leaving his work, he leaned over to Kagome and began to explain the equation to her.

Inuyasha came into the library a few minutes later with his books and began to look for Kagome. Where could she be? Suddenly, he saw her. Next to Sesshoumaru! Caught in shock, he saw that they were doing more small talk than studying. That's not normal! Sesshoumaru doesn't do small talk and Kagome always would rather study! How weird. With that, he left to go find Kikyo.

Sesshoumaru and Kagome continued to laugh as they made their way out of the library. As they walked back to the dorms. As they got there, they turned to face each other. "So, I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" Kagome blushed as she asked. "Yeah, I suppose we will." Then, they turned to their buildings, each thinking about the other the whole way back to their rooms.
