“Now, lets get your robes, then your books.” Dumbledore said as they walked into the shop.

“Albus, how nice to see you. Three students for Hogwarts, I see.” said a squat witch, smiling.

“Yes, Madam Malkin.” Dumbledore replied.

“This way then. Young lady, you’ll have to leave your pet outside.” Madam Malkin said, noticing Kaela’s dragon.

“I’ll take it and wait outside.” McGonagall said, since she was closer to Kaela.

“Thank you, Professor. Starlight, behave yourself, okay?” the dragon, Starlight, gave a little purr and jumped into McGonagall’s arms.

“Young man, please stand here. Young ladies stand right here.” Madam Malkin started to take measurements then prepared their robes when a young boy with blondish white hair came in. Kaela and Inuyasha tensed while Kagome paid for her robes. Inuyasha and Kaela paid for theirs and followed Dumbledore out.

They each got their books, potions ingredients, a pewter cauldron, set of scales, a collapsible brass telescope, and were now on their way to get wands when Kagome said she wanted to get an owl. Kaela, Kagome, and McGonagall went into Eeylops Owl Emporium.

Inuyasha and Dumbledore went into Ollivander’s for his wand. McGonagall waited outside the wand shop with Dumbledore while Kaela and Kagome joined Inuyasha inside.

When they joined McGonagall and Dumbledore outside, it was getting late and they still needed to go to Hogwarts.

Kaela and Kagome were happy with their wands. Kaela’s was mahogany, nine inches, dragon heartstring. Kagome’s was ebony, unicorn, eight and half inches. Inuyasha on the other hand, didn’t really care about his wand. It’s seven inches, maple, with a phoenix feather for the core.

“When will be getting to Hogwarts?” Kagome asked, yawning slightly. Her, Kaela, and Inuyasha were dragging their trunks.

“We’ll be taking this portkey and then you’ll be sorted. Once that is finished, you may go to bed.” McGonagall explained. Inuyasha just grunted.

Kaela explained to Dumbledore what happens to Inuyasha so he can find a place for him to hide for the night of the new moon.

“Can I get some ramen once we get there?” Inuyasha asked since none of them had eaten all day.

“The house elves will send something for you to eat in your common room.” Dumbledore said.

They took the portkey and appeared in Dumbledore’s office. The Sorting Hat was sitting on the desk.

“Are these the three special students I am to sort?” the hat asked.

“Yes, they are. Ms. Higurashi, would you please put the Sorting Hat on?” Dumbledore asked.

“Sure, Professor.” Kagome said as she walked over to the desk and put the hat on.

There was a few moments silence before the hat said “Gryffindor.”

“Ms. Star.” again the hat said Gryffindor.

“And Mr.…Mr. What is your last name, young man?” McGonagall asked.

“What’s it matter?” Inuyasha asked, slightly annoyed.

“Well, you’ll be announced to the school when the other students arrive. You are to be honored while you are here.” McGonagall said. Kaela was petting the phoenix that was sitting on a stand. Dumbledore watching her pet Fawkes.

“I know. How about Taiyoukai?” Kagome suggested.

“Or Moon?” Kaela smirked at the look on Inuyasha’s face.

“Inuyoukai would work too, I guess.” Kagome smiled.

“Inuhanyou?” Inuyasha said it without thinking.

“Inuyoukai.” Kaela and Kagome said together. Inuyasha just rolled his eyes and mumbled ‘fine’.

Of course Inuyasha was put in Gryffindor. Professor McGonagall showed them to the Gryffindor tower. When they got there, there was food and sweet sitting on a table for them.

“In two days, the rest of the student body will be here.” Kagome said remembering when they train would leave the station.

“Yea. I want to go to the Quidditch pitch before bed. Dumbledore did say we had special privileges.” Kaela said as she got up.

“Yea but why do you want to go to the pitch for?” Kagome asked. She was so tired that she couldn’t keep her eyes open.

“I want to switch forms for a bit.” Kaela explained. Kagome and Inuyasha knew why now.

“See you in a bit.” Kaela said as she walked out the portrait hole. Kaela walked down the staircases and out the castle doors.

Once at the Quidditch pitch, she made her clothes change into a fighting, bare-back, kimono with slits up to mid-thigh. It was black with a silver dragon wrapping around until the head of it was on her right shoulder.

Silver flames appeared at Kaela’s feet and coiled around her, like a snake, to just above her head.

Her eyes looked kind of like sky blue snake eyes, brown hair changed to silver, claws appeared where human nails were, and silver dragon wings appeared from her back.

“Feels nice to reveal the true you, isn’t it?” said a cold voice from behind her.

Kaela turned around to come face to face with Professor Snape.

“I didn’t realize that a human would be down here this late at night.” Kaela said, her voice colder than his. Sesshomaru would be proud.

“Do you think you’re superior to humans?” Snape came closer but still far enough away to be safe.

“I may have superior strength, speed, intellects, and a longer life span but I do not think of myself as a higher being.” Kaela replied, her wings unfurling slightly in annoyance.

“Is there a problem here?” Dumbledore had just walked into the pitch and looked from Kaela to Snape.

“No, Professor. I was just about to stretch my wings and practice a bit of my natural abilities then I was going to bed.” Kaela said without taking her eyes off Snape.

“Ah. Well, I would love to see what a dragon youkai could do.” Dumbledore smiled. Snape and Dumbledore walked to the wall of the pitch.

Kaela unfurled her wings all the way and took flight. As she flew higher, with Starlight next to her, she changed her outfit to something like Inuyasha’s but with the same design as her fighting kimono. After flying around, she withdrew her wings and allowed the wind to take her around the pitch once and landed. Kaela practiced with the fire, water, and earth elementals before she changed back to her school robes and human look.

“Amazing, isn’t she, Severus?” Dumbledore smiled as she walked over to him.

“Yes. I look forward to having her in class.” Snape said as he turned to walk back to the castle.

Dumbledore and Kaela walked after him.

Kaela made it back to the common room no problem and found her room with Kagome. Kaela slept peacefully the rest of the night.
