Inuyasha, Kagome, and Kaela spent the next two days outside by the lake. Kaela wasn’t worried about the students coming or learning the different spells and potions. Living for over eleven hundred years has taught her a lot of spells and potions. Dragon magic is very advanced.

Kagome, on the other hand, was so nervous. She knew she was going to mess something up.

“Relax, Kagome. Everything will be fine. The students will be here later and then lessons will start the next day.” Kaela said, watching the clouds roll along the sky.

“Yeh three looking’ forward’ to teh rest o’ teh school comin’ later?” Hagid asked, walking up to them.

“Kagome’s not. She’s almost nervous about something.” Kaela said, smiling up at him.

“Yeah? Well, ter be nothin’ teh be nervous ‘bout. Jus’ normal stuff. Firs’ years bein’ sorted, introducin’ yeh three, and then teh grea’ welcome feas’.” Hagid explained.

“Doesn’t sound to bad. Nothing like we faced before.” Inuyasha shouted down from the breech tree that they were sitting under. Starlight glided down to Kaela’s shoulder and purred lightly.

“Is tha’ a dragon I see?” Hagid asked looking at the silver dragon.

“Yea, her name is Starlight. I have a lot of dragons back home.” Inuyasha snickered at that. Kaela glared at him for a minute then looked back up at Hagid.

“Do you like dragons, Hagid?” Kaela asked, giving a treat to Starlight.

“Love ‘em. Been wantin’ one since I was a kid.” Hagid smiled as Starlight flew out over the lake.

“Well, best be gettin’ ready for the students to arrive. Be seein’ yeh.” with said, Hagid walked back to the castle.

“Perhaps we should see what Professor Dumbledore wants us to do when he introduces us.” Kagome said, looking from Kaela to Inuyasha and back again.

“Yea, it would be best to be prepared.” Kaela got up and stretched.

“Feh. Kagome, you worry to must.” Inuyasha jumped down next to them and started walking back to the castle.

“Starlight, come.” Kaela yelled out to her dragon. Upon hearing the command, Starlight flew to her mistress’s shoulder.

They arrived at Dumbledore’s office and watched the stone gorgyle jump out of the way. The stairs were now visible and up they went to the office door.

Kaela knocked once and they heard someone say, “Enter.”

“Ah, just the students I wanted to see.” said Professor Dumbledore once they entered.

“Sir, we were just wondering what you wanted us to do once you introduced us?” Kagome said as she walked over to the desk.

“Well, perhaps we should go to the Great Hall and practice to see what would be best.” Dumbledore suggested as he stood.

“Feh.” was all Inuyasha wanted to say at this time.

Once down in the Great Hall, they come up with a grand little plan. It would surprise the older students and the first years would love to see some different type of magic.

When it was about time for the students, Inuyasha, Kaela, and Kagome went into the room just off to the right of the Great Hall. Soon, the sound of a large number of people entering the Great Hall reached their ears. Sure enough, they could hear the Sorting Hat and waited for that long list of students to pass.

When Professor McGonagall reached the name Harry Potter, there was whistpering and mumuring that only Kaela and Inuyasha could hear from the back room. Next thing they heard was the hat yelling Gryffindor.

“Well, I guess we’ll see who this Harry Potter is later then?” Kaela asked.

“Who’s Harry Potter?” Kagome asked, slightly confused.

“’The Boy Who Lived’ is what some of the students called him.” Inuyasha explained, smirking at the look on Kagome’s face. “He’s in Gryffindor.”

Kagome mouthed an “Oh” and went silence again. Soon, someone named Blaise Zabini was called and the hat yelled Slytherin. They knew when Professor McGonagall brought the hat in that the Sorting Ceremony was over.

“Welcome!” they heard Dumbledore say, “Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts! Before we begin our banquet, I have three special students to introduce.” There was the cue.

Kagome entered first, then Kaela and Inuyasha last who closed the door behind them. They walked in front of the staff table and smiled to the student body, well, expect Inuyasha of course.

“These three are joining us from Tokyo, Japan. Their abilities are great and powers are strong. Allow me to intorduce you to Kagome Higruashi,” Kagome bowed her head and smiled even brighter. “Inuyasha Inuyoukai,” Inuyasha just nodded his head slightly. “and Ms. Kaela Star.” Kaela took a few steps forward to await her cue. “These students are members of the Gryffindor house but no matter what, you must treat them with respect.” Dumbledore looked around at all the students. “Ms. Star, if you will please?”

“Of course, Professor.” Kaela smiled and opened her arms as if she was going to give someone a hug. Silver flames appeared on top of her arms and changed into four silver phoenix-like flames. The phoinex flames opened their wings and flew over the four house tables then back to Kaela where they landed on her arms and disappeared.

The tables were covered with food but no one notice because they were watching the phoenixes. Inuyasha, Kagome, and Kaela took their sits at the Gryffindor table.

Soon, the banquet was over. Everyone was full and wanted to go to bed. Dumbledore stood up once more.

“Ahem --- just a few more words now that we are all fed and watered. I have a few start-of-term notices to give you. First yous should note that the forest on the grounds is forbidden to all pupils. And a few of our older students would do well to remember that as well.” Dumbledore looked at the Weasley twins.

“I have also been asked by Mr, Filch, the caretaker, to remind you all that no magic should be used between classes in the corridors. Quidditch trails will be held in the second week of the term. Anyone interested in playing for their house teams should contact Madam Hooch. And now, everyone off to bed. You have a big day tomorrow.”

Kaela, Inuyasha, and Kagome were on their why out when “Hey, were do you three think you’re going?” it was the Gryffindor prefect, Percy Weasley.

“Feh, we’re going to bed. Where do you think were going?” Inuyasha rudely said.

“First years must follow me since they don’t know the way.” Percy said in an annoyed voice.

“Oh, we know the way. We’ve been here for three days know.” Kaela politely said.

“Oh. Very well then off with you. The rest of you first years keep close.”

“Excuse me but aren’t you that girl I saw in Madam Malkin’s robe shop?” Kaela turned to see the blonded haired boy there, with what looked like body guards.

“Yes, I believe so.” Kaela said in a politely sweet voice.

“The name’s Draco Malfoy. This is Crabbe and Goyle.” the blonded haired boy, Draco, reached his head out to her.

“Pleased to meet you, Draco, Crabbe, Goyle.” Kaela smiled. “I’m Kaela Star, of course you already knew that.”

“Oi, Kaela, come on.” Inuyasha yelled from the top of the marble steps.

“Shut it, Inu.” Kaela growled at him, scaring Draco and some of the other students. “Sorry about that. Well, I’ll see you tomorrow. Night.” Kaela said and ran off up the steps.

Tomorrow was going to be an intersing day.
