Chapter one

 

Edward Elric walked outside on the field; it had been two years since his brother was trapped on the other side of the gate, along with his body. His friend who was similar to Alphonse Elric, Alfonse had disappeared out of the open as well. He walked towards the thick woods that were towards him, they lead to the real world of Tokyo, Japan.

 

“Maybe… I'll find Al or Alfonse here.” He said solemnly looking through the woods seeing nothing but darkness. “Don't tell me I have to go through there!” Ed said rhetorically.

 

He began to walk forward; he held his suitcase that was about half his size on his shoulders.

Kagome Higurashi awoke to the sound of the buzzing alarm clock; she sat up and stared out the window, yawning loudly while stretching, `It's a great day, I wonder how Inuyasha and the others are -` Kagome had completely forgotten about Inuyasha and the Feudal era. “Oh no! It's been a week since I've gone through the well!” Kagome got dressed and ran out of the house with her book bag, forgetting about breakfast.

 

“Kagome… Well a- bye!” Mrs. Higurashi said watching Kagome run off with her bike.

 

“Well… I've got to go to school; I'll go to the Feudal era after my test… Damn it, I should've called in sick!

 

She walked into the streets with her bike in her hands, once she reached sidewalk she hopped on the bike and strolled away.

Edward ran out of the thick woods out into the streets of Tokyo. He smiled and sighed, “I made it… Tokyo, Japan!” He walked into the sidewalk when he heard a voice yelling at him.

 

“Hey, you there; get out of the way before I-!” Before Ed had the chance to move out the way there was a huge crash. Ed was sent flying backwards

 

“Hello… Are you okay?” A voice asked Ed from out of nowhere

 

His hair was long and blonde and his eyes were violet, he looked just like Inuyasha in human form; though he was about a foot shorter and a different hair color. But that wasn't what had Kagome's heart racing, it was the metal arm and the clanking sound when he stepped, proving at least one of his legs were fake. 

 

“Sorry,” she said. “Have I seen you before?” she asked him, almost kicking herself as soon as the words were out. Could she sound any stupider? She'd never met the short guy in her life.

 

Edward brushed himself off then snorted, “No chance, I just got here from… the other side of Tokyo.”

 

“What's your name?” Kagome asked Ed and she couldn't keep her mind off of his mechanical arm and leg.

 

He gave her a look, “Edward Elric, but people call me Ed.”

  

“What school are you going to go to?” Kagome asked, hoping that it was the school she went to our any other one in the area.

 

“Keh, do you ever stop asking questions?” Ed said rudely and closed his eyes. Without another word, he strode past her and walked away. “See ya… I guess” He said bluntly.

 

`You know he could Inuyasha or Sesshoumaru's brother…' She thought to herself and then she got on her bike and road towards School.

 

Later on in class, Kagome sat there thinking about the guy she had met, Ed. Then, suddenly she was jerked out of her thoughts by a knock at the door. Her sensei frowned but when she opened the door she broke out into a smile.

 

“Mr. Edward Elric, welcome.”

 

“Edward!” Kagome yelled out happily, the whole class turned around and glared at her, as if she was crazy. Embarrassed Kagome gave a small chuckle and slid down into her seat.

 

 

Kagome looked up and felt the same feeling she experienced the day before. `Those eyes, the attitude…'

 

“As I was saying… before I was rudely interrupted by Mrs. Higurashi, class this is Edward Elric, he just moved here, please make him feel welcome.” She looked at Ed and waved. Still angry about the incident before school, he tried his best to ignore her, “You can sit in the desk right there; no one sits there.” she said pointing to the empty desk beside Kagome.

 

His eyes briefly widened in acknowledgment, but then he just slumped down beside her.

 

“Hi again,” she said smiling. Then she added, “I'm Kagome.”

 

“That's nice,” he said, smiling a little, he still looked pretty angry at Kagome though.

 

'If this is Inuyasha, he is just like him when I first met him. She sighed, it can't be him…He's a little to nice…Well Inuyasha can be nice occasionally.' The class went on like normal and afterwards Kagome waited for him.

 

“Um… About the bike incident… I'm really sorry…” Kagome said in a somewhat shy tone.

 

“Whatever I have no time to talk with you… I got to go to lunch. Ed walked away from Kagome and into the crowd.

 

“Well, Bye girl!” He yelled slightly in the crowd of the people who were lining up for lunch.

 

“Why you…. The name is Kagome get it right… Ka-go-me!” Kagome stopped, and then thought, `there is something seriously wrong with that…'
