 Chapter 2

 

 

The school bell rang and everyone ran out into the hall and out the hall. Ed walked leisurely as he made his way to the front doors. As he walked out he looked over to his side, seeing Kagome and three others who looked much like Eri, Yuka, and Ayumi. Ed looked at them but Kagome slightly noticed so he continued walking.

 

Kagome turned and looked at him and yelled, “Hey Edward, Edward Elric!”

 

Ed turned around and smiled, “Yea”

 

“Well I wanted to say welcome to this school… We should get together sometimes and get to know each other a little better!” Kagome yelled.

 

Eri, Yuka, and Ayumi began to whisper behind Kagome, probably how she was falling in love with the new guy or something.

 

Ed looked at Kagome and waved, “Keh, I guess we'll see each other sometime! See ya girl…Uh yea, see ya girl!”

 

“IT'S KAGOME!” Kagome yelled once again, but Ed just ran off.

 

`Who is that girl…? She's exactly like Winry, but she tries to hard and hasn't made fun of my short…Made fun of me yet.' Ed thought to himself.

 

Later, on when Ed was about to cross the street, Kagome came running.

 

“Hey, Shortie… Edward!” Kagome yelled. Ed angrily turned around, his eyes were ragging with anger and then he started yelping.

 

“Who are you calling short, you… you, “

 

“It's not my fault your short!” Kagome yelled; she was already across the street. Ed tried to catch up with her but cars were going so he couldn't cross.

 

“You get back here girl!”

 

“The name is Kagome, get it right Edward!”

 

When all the traffic stopped Ed ran up, following Kagome all the way up to the Dojo. Kagome disappeared inside her house. Ed went over and examined the tree with the whole caused by Kikyo's sacred arrow, `Wow a miko arrow must've pierced this or else the tree would've grown over it again.

 

 

Inside Kagome had gotten into the shower after eating, since she'd skipped breakfast. Kagome got out of the shower and hurriedly got dressed. All of these thoughts were slowing her down.

 

“Oh, that… Damn him! Inuyashas's going to be furious!” Kagome ran down stairs.

 

“Hey Mom, see you after I get back from the Feudal Era!” she called.

 

“Okay, Bye Kagome!” Mrs. Higurashi yelled as Kagome ran out of the door.

 

Ed heard Kagome coming out of the house, and quickly he hid behind the tree. Kagome ran into a shack and then she pulled her bike in there. `I wonder what that girl needs her bike for. Anyway, I might as well go find out'.

 

Quickly and quietly Ed ran to the side of the old wooden shack. “Does that shack lead somewhere?” Ed whispered quietly to himself.

 

He watched as Kagome took her bike and put it down a mysterious well that was in front of her. After that, she jumped in to the well. There was a blue shinning light, and again the shack was empty.

 

Ed ran into the well, looking down he saw nothing. “…Kagome! Kagome Higurashi” He yelled down the empty well.

 

Suddenly there was a flash of purple like light at the end of the well. Ed jumped in and picked them up, it was a small bottle with a few pieces of what looked like jewels or crystals. “Is this… Kagome's” He asked rhetorically.

 

Suddenly there was another flash of blue light, but instead of Kagome reappearing, Ed began to fall further and further down the well.

 

He soon fell unconscious startled at what was happened as he continued to fall.

 

Ed later woke up, looking straight up at the sky, he was back in the well, or at least what he thought was the same well. “What the heck happened back there, Ed took his fake arm and began twirling it around to see if it still worked properly; he then did the same to his mechanical leg.

 

“Where am I…? Is this even Japan?”

Kagome got on her bike and rode off to Kaede's hut. Once she was there Kaede greeted her warmly, “Kagome it's been almost three weeks since ye been here, Inuyasha and the others have begun te worry.

 

“Hey Kaede, well I've had to catch up at school and I met this really nice guy his names Edward Elric…” Kagome tried to pull the necklace off with the Shikon Jewel Shards in them, but they were missing.

 

“OH NO, I've lost the Jewel Shards!” Kagome ran out the hut and looked around, “I must've left them in the well! Kaede, please tell Inuyasha and the others to help me look for them.”

 

Kaede nodded and whispered, “I hope she hasn't lost those Shards, they could easily fall into Naraku's hands.
