I am starting this fanfic as a Full Metal Alchemist/Inuyasha; I had a random idea after I saw my first episode of FMA, which was episode 3. Unfortunately I knew that I didn't know enough to write a fic so I downloaded some episodes off of Kazaa 1,2,13 and 11. I believe I can accurately make Ed and Al seem in character, however if there are any battle scenes most of it will be Inuyasha stuff as I know that much better. If anyone could give me a summary of Ed and Al's skills I'd be really happy just leave a review telling me you emailed it and I'll read it. I think I know enough about the auto mail parts that Ed has to do this now. Al most likely won't appear much yet because his character is much more complicated but as I learn more I'll try to get him in.

Eventual Pairings - (Main) Edward/Kagome, (some) Miroku/Sango, (much less) Inuyasha/Kikyo (the live nice one not the cold female dog word). Honestly I'm not a fan of Kikyo/Inuyasha but it makes more sense for the story I will try to make it less gut wrenching even thought they will have a large part in the story.

 

Where was that stupid boy, hell this was all his fault anyway… No, that wasn't right Kagome wasn't a child she knew the risks, knew that she maybe hurt or die thank god it hadn't been the later. Why wasn't Inuyasha here with my daughter, God damn she knew why, Kagome had told me during one of her rare spells that she had been conscious and not drugged out of her mind for the pain. Kikyo was back. Alive and well according to Inuyasha, he would walk in here all smiles and sit beside my daughter smiling at nothing. How dare he smile when my daughter was suffering because of him, that's not right either he didn't dump my daughter when he had found out, he had already promised Kikyo that he would mate her hours before then. God knows that boy deserves some happiness.

Miss Higurashi was snapped out of her daydream by a tap on her shoulder, she turned around and looked around.

`'Oi, down here Miss.''

Miss Higurashi looked down, `'Oh, I'm sorry I didn't see you there dear.”

`'ARE YOU SAYING I'M SMALL!''

`'No, No dear I'm sorry I'll move for you but why are you here, do you know the boy in room two?''

`'Room two? I don't think so Miss I'm here to see a Kagome Higurashi about some stuff.'' Miss Higurashi got all starry eyed.

`'Oh how sweet that's my daughter are you a friend from school?''

`'Umm, no actually I guess if you're her mother then I have to talk to you as well if we could go to Kagome's room this would be easier and it really is a private thing.''

`'Of course dear but whatever for?''

`'Please Miss…''

`'Higurashi but you can call me Akina.'' Kagome's mom beamed down at the young man standing before her. Gosh he's short. Akina grabbed Ed's left arm and escorted him down the hallway just outside of Kagome's room.

`'I'm Edward Akina but you can call me Ed.'' This woman reminds me of my mom. `'It's about her arm and leg and some things that maybe possible…''

 

Inuyasha walked down the hospital hall, he had been visiting Kagome every three days for the past two weeks now and even though he knew he should be sad he wasn't. He just couldn't help it after all he could smell that his mate was pregnant, the village was growing and he and Shippo were getting along what else was there he needed? Inuyasha's ears swiveled and he picked up a voice, walking a little bit faster he walked around the corner just before Kagome's room in time to see Kagome's mom talking to some boy.

`'It's about her arm and leg and some things that maybe possible…''

Inuyasha growled no mini kid was going to have anything to do with Kagome so he did one of the things he was best at, he grabbed the shrimp by the neck and hoisted him into the air. `'I don't know who the hell you are but you aren't doing anything to Kagome so just leave now before I really decide to hurt you.” Inuyasha had his teeth clenched and his eyes were bleeding red.

`'Inuyasha, put him down now, please he's here to help!''

Edward was getting a little worried the guy in front of him not only had his air cut off but his eyes were bleeding red and those were some big ass fangs he was grinding. So he reached up with his auto mail arm and bent Inuyasha's arm until he let go. `'Holy crap, this guy is strong even the auto mail is struggling to make him let go, what's up with him?''

Inuyasha stood massaging his arm in front of Edward glaring at him. `'What the hell, I can smell it this guy is one hundred percent human how could he over power me like that?''

Edward was pretty pissed off now, but he didn't want to scare Kagome's mom and loose the only chance Kagome might have at a semi-normal life now. Instead of beating that crazy guys head in he took some deep breaths. `'Akina, if this man isn't a good friend of Kagome's I think that this is a matter best discussed between us and Kagome, Kagome is old enough that this is ultimately her own choice but I think she would like the input of her family as well.

Akina smiled such a responsible young man. “Inuyasha has my blessing to be here, he deserves to know what you have to say as much as I do.'' Without leaving anymore room for debate she gently opened Kagome's room and beckoned the boys behind her in.

Edward looked around the room when he stepped in, he had expected balloons and flowers, candy the other things that people tended to bring popular people who were hurt. Heck there weren't simpering cheerleaders, soccer players fighting over whose boyfriend she was. He knew she should be popular and had her right arm and left leg been there she would have been even more beautiful, if possible then she was now. Everyone was looking at him so he decided he should problem introduce himself to Kagome. “Hello, I'm Edward Elric the Full Metal Alchemist.” Akina gasped and Kagome smiled, `'I've seen you on TV you do nice things for people but why are you here, I don't know a lot about Alchemy but I do know you couldn't restore my arm and leg.” Kagome managed to say it cheerfully but the underlying sadness was evident in her voice. Edward thought he was usually a pretty cold guy but the way she talked made it feel like some one had stuck a cold knife in his stomach. “Your right I can't regenerate the limb but I can replace it unfortunately the procedure is very expensive but the military is willing to pay for it for a price.”

Akina watched with interest, she shot Inuyasha a look to make sure he stayed quiet, this was Kagome's choice not theirs.

Kagome finally spoke up. “What do they want?” Kagome voice was full of curiosity but there was definite suspicion mixed in with it. “They want you to work with me and my brother Al you would complete an Alchemy training course with me and my bastard, umm, I mean colonel then you would serve with us for the rest of a four year period.” Kagome was getting exited now. “What would I do?''

Ed sighed remembering some of the things he had to do. “You're a soldier Kagome you follow orders and sometimes you don't like them and other times their not completely right but you do it anyway.”

“I'll do it, I don't care I'll do the best job I can as long as I can hold the door open for myself and walk our of here on my own.”

Edward sighed to himself it wasn't common knowledge through the media why he was the called the Full Metal Alchemist and he expected her to back down, scream and tell him to get out after she saw his auto mail but he couldn't just lead her into this blindly. “Look Kagome.” He pulled off his shirt. Ed heard a not so quite gasp from Akina and a louder curse from Inuyasha. “I have a leg as well Kagome it's made out of auto mail too, I'll understand if you don't want to go through with this anymore.” Edward drew in a sharp breath instead of screaming or showing any sort of revulsion Kagome reached out and touched the place his metal arm met his chest.

“I'll still do it.”

 

What do you think Ed in Character? I think he's a little out but I wanted him to be a bit more gentle and serious this chapter then he usually is after all he's dealing with a situation very similar to his. All I want is one review to keep going just to see if anyone is reading and interested.
