In a dark alley a killing had been done. The officers were checking out the scene looking for clues that would help them. Alphonse the leader of the mission looked tired from staying up all night. Things had not been the best since his brother had been gone. He still wanted to find a way to see him agin, but he never reagined all of his memories. So things were hard one him. He seemed to have a lot of dreams though.


In his dreams his brother is calling out to him. He even thought at one time he could see where his brother was but in the dream world nothing is the same as in the real world. "Mr. Elric I think we may have something over here. It seems that the killer has left some clues for us to lead on." Said one of the officers that was working on the mission. He gave the single to lead the way. We Al first got there the scene had been a nasty one. Who ever did it like to show there 'art' as they like to say it.


When Al walked behind a corner it seemed that in the wall was a hidden piece of a jewel. A light pink and purple color is glowed in the moon light just catching the light at the right time. Al told the man beside him to get a tool to pick the piece out. The man hurried to follow his orders. He return shortly after and Al was then able to pick the jewel out. As soon as his hands touched the jewel shard visions swam in his head. Al feeling the full weight of the visions fell knees buckling under him.


"Sir, Sir are you alright? Mr. Elric can you hear me, someone get over here we need to go to the hospital. Mr. Elric has fainted and needs some one to look at him." The other men took no time in getting him to the hospital. Al was in bed for many days the men were wondering if he would ever wake up.


Kagome climbed out of the well looking around the old shack. The well house had been there for many years. Here soon they would need to clean for the up coming spring. Kagome had been so excited today she would here about the colleges she tried to get in to. She wanted to know if there was one that had wrote her back. Kagome still hunted the shards but it had been many years later. They had the last fight with Naraku about a year ago.With the two Inu brothers joining forces Naraku was wounded very badly and had not been heard of since.

Inuyasha of corse thought he was dead. Kagome at the last moment notched her bow with a speical arrow. Kaede had been working on a spell along with Kikyo. They had been draw togather when a cousin of there's was killed by Narakus hands. The spell enhanced the powered that flowed through Kagomes body. It alowed her to get passed Narakus barrier around him creating an opening for the brothers to attack. They did but in the process it through of Kagomes arrow hitting the complete jewel making it break. The lights followed afterwards streaching across the sky. They were not looking when Naraku snuck behind Kagome.

Kagome watching the lights wanted to cry they had been so close and now they would have to start all over agin. Kagome at the last moment looked around for Naraku it seemed that Kagome couldn't find him and when she did she wished she hadn't because he was right next to her. He whispered in to her ear. "If I can not have the jewel then I will make sure that no one will. It will be in a place out of your hands untill I recover. So think what you will, but the battle is far from over." With that he disappeared when everybody else saw one of the lights go through what looked like a door floating in the sky. Kagome didn't want to tell them just yet she would allow them to think they have won.

She knew sooner or later though she would have to face Naraku agin. Untill then she would enjoy the peace. Since then they had all but two jewel shards. In a year they found them all but two. Kagome knew the time was coming she knew that Naraku was near. Kagome could only hope that they would find the last two before he did. She thought that to he might be setting back getting stronger just wating for her to find all the pieces except one. Kagome didn't want to think about that right now she was here to get away from everything. To feel peace that she need in order for her to even come here she had to set the hanyou a bunch of times. All because he wanted to complete the jewel faster.

She knew time was very tedious for them. Kagome stepped out of the well house and ran to her house. Opening up the door she smelled the sweet aroma of oden her favorite food. "Kagome dear is that you?" Kagome heard her mother calling from the kitchen she ran from the front door dropping her bag by the steps she went in the kitchen to give her mother a hug. Kagomes mother Miya, turned around and opened her arms embracing her older daughter.

"Mom did I get anything in the mail?" Kagome asked stepping out of the hug. Miya said yes tell her it was on the table behind her. Kagome turned around and headed over to where the mail was setting there. Kagome went through it. " Nothing yet bills.. more bills.. ah there we go." Kagome was mumbling to herself out loud. In a white envelope there it said to a miss Higurashi Kagome. Kagome opened it. She was getting nervious about reading it she really opened it was the one she wanted. When she got done reading it she had tears in her eyes. Tokyo University had turned her down because of all the days she missed. Head hung low she just turned and started to head out of the door. So far every time she tried for a University she got turned down because of her missing so many days of school.

She was just to the hall way when her mother called her back in. "Kagome dear did you get in?" Kagome gave her the look a sadden look that said she didn't. Her mother knew right then that she didn't. Kagome turned aroung agin heading for the door when her mother once agin called her back. "Kagome before you go I wanted to give you this envelope. I forgot I sat it by the sink. I guess I was getting ready to do the dishes when you came in here maybe there might be some hope." Miya gave her daughter a wink and wished her luck. Kagome still down desided she would open it later right now she just wanted to go get a bath then settle in for a nice rest.

Kagome got her bath and headed in to her room. She got changed for the night. On her bed table she had set the envelope there. Seeing it she picked it up and sat down on her bed to read it. London University is where it was from wondering when she put her app in there she didn't think about it anymore. Opening it slowly she unfolded the neat paper. Kagome begain to read the letter.

Higurashi Kagome,

We here at London University had sought you out. We went world wide looking for people with special potential. We have choosen you not for the lack in days but for the out standing effort you put forth. For one such as your self being sick all the time and still trying your best you have been awarded a full scholarship to our college. If you have a bright mind and a corse you wish to take why not come and join us for a special tore. You may find you will like it. We thank you for your time and wish to here from you soon.

Kagome was more than shocked to read that. That night she dreamed of what college would be like there. Her brothers crys woke her from her sleep. "Ah mom where is my breafast im going to be late agin." Sota now in high school screamed at his mother. "Sota dear it is right in front of you. Have a nice day dear and try to be quite on your way out you sister is here and needs her rest." Sota mumbled a sorry and took off out the door in a hurry slaming the door shut on his way out. Kagome had almost went to sleep agin untill the door was slamed. Figuring she might as well start her day early she got up. She had a lot to do anyways.

Last night she made up her mind she would go to at lest to check out the college. Besides she didn't even have to pay for plan tickets. They were included in the letter so all she needed to do was pack and figure away out of telling Inuyasha about it. She was sure that Inuyasha would not let her go so she was going to have to come up with something for while she was gone. Maybe if she asked her mom she might know of something she could do. Kagome planned to have a little fun while she was there anyways. She got prepaired for the days events then left her room.

She headed down the stairs her heart in a happy mood other than figuring out the Inuyasha part everything was set. She told her mom and her mother thought it was one of the best things to happened to her. Her mother also warner her to becareful. She thought it would be better if her brother Sota went along for the trip. Kagome didn't like the idea as much but thought it was also a good idea she didn't want to ride all the way there on her own. So when Sota got home he packed he was more than thrilled because it ment he would have no school for about two weeks or more.

Miya drove to the airport. The ride was a long one or so it seemed to Kagome. When they got there Miya made sure everything was set. Grandpa Higurashi had joined them for the ride there. "Now Kagome I made some special scrolls to help ward off any demon that might be there..." He never got to finish his sentance when Miya stepped in. "Kagome what he means is that he wishes you the best of luck. I want you two, to becareful and watch out for the other ok? Oh and make sure to have some fun while your there." Kagome saw her mother wink making Kagome blush. She knew her mother knew that Inuyasha and her were just good friends now. Kagome had long ago given up on him. Soon there flight was called and they say there good byes. Kagome and Sota walked towards the plan climbing on and seating down in there chairs.

The plane took off having no troubles it will be a while before they got there it was a good day and a haft. Kagome just started to read while Sota beside her listened to some music. Night time soon came and everyone around her was a sleep Kagome soon joined them. She didn't know it but bad things were about to happen. The pilot of the plane was going in to some having fog. No one thought about watching the news at the Higurash home. So they never knew that one of the comets going over the earths sky headed down towards Kagomes plane. The comet wasn't suppost to have done that. It was drawn by a force none could tell.


The comet went in to the airs atomsphere burning turning in a big fire ball. The comet was heading in the ocean it missed Kagomes plane but the shockwaves following it hit her plane sending it to a loop. All the while Kagome slept beside her brother not noticing the things round her changing. The pilot hit his head so was out cold the plane started to take a dive. One of the passenager screamed when the door riped open from the presure. Kagome had put on her seatbealt before she started to rest as did Sota. Kagome awoke when everything around her started to fly about.
