Vampire Hunters chapter 1

Inuyasha and Ed were fighting each other in the training chamber, preparing for their next mission. Inuyasha a young man with silver hair, unusual molten gold eyes, about 5 10”. Ed was a teenager with blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail. He has light brown eyes and he was about 5 1”. Inuyasha swung his dagger towards Ed's face. Ed ducked away from the dagger and lunged forward with his spear for Inuyasha's stomach. He moved to the side and kicked Ed behind the leg making him fall. As Ed fell he was ready to use the lance as a quick way to recover. Ed hit the floor and swung his lance in all directions making Inuyasha back away. He stood then lashed out with a series of swings and stabs towards the face, but Inuyasha dodged all of them with ease. Ed swung powerfully for the last hoping to get lucky. He slashed Inuyasha's vest, Inuyasha turned as he was struck and sliced open Ed's arm.

 

“That's enough you two.” Said the leader of the Crimson Scourge, a group of elite vampire hunters with Inuyasha as the leader of the top squad.

 

“Yes sir.” Inuyasha and Ed said turning and bowing before returning to the east wing.

 

“Gather the others. We need to discuss the operation.” Inuyasha ordered to Ed.

 

“Sir.” Ed said then ran off to gather the others.

 

“How much longer do I have to do this. It aggravates me. The idea that I can't tell my own team, my friends. It'll only be a matter of time before they find out the truth.” Inuyasha said to himself waiting for the others in the conference room. The first to walk in was Miroku Houshi 5 7” black hair shoulder length covering his eyes. Miroku was a talented vampire slayer he normally used a staff, but when he needed he can use a wide variety of weapons from guns to daggers to whips. Second to walk in was Sango Taijiya a beautiful young woman who used a giant boomerang for a weapon. She let her hair fall just above her eyes and had the rest pulled back into high ponytail. Third was Koga, Koga wasn't exactly Inuyasha's favorite but he extremely talented in the art of slaying vampires. He had pale blue eyes, hair just up to his neck and he used his bare hands and the occasional katana. Then entered Sesshomaru Inuyasha's brother. Sesshomaru had the skill and ability to run the squad but he gave it to Inuyasha. Sesshomaru had silvery white hair like Inuyasha. His eyes were gold with a pale green color added. Yet nobody ever really saw his eyes. Rin entered after Sesshomaru, Rin was small, but she had an attitude and she would kill everything in sight when angry. Dark hair just to her mid-back dark brown eyes and a gauntlet for a weapon as well as protection is what attracted Sesshomaru to this young woman. Last to enter was Kagome Inuyasha's favorite. Black-raven hair black eyes with hints of blue. She was the perfect asset to the team she was focused had great lock picking skills and is calm under pressure and she could kill a vampire before anybody would notice where she was there.

 

“Sir, what's the plan?” Miroku said sitting down.

 

“Miroku you can forget the sir.” Inuyasha said getting tired of having to be called `sir' by his friends.

 

“Ok.”

 

“Ok, here it is at exactly 9:00 P.M. last night a group of vampires was said to be spotted in the forest near the outskirts of the city over by the old run down mansion.

 

“You mean the Midnight Mansion.” Sesshomaru said registering what his brother just said.

 

“Yes. Kohaku's team has already been sent in to check it out, but…”

 

“But, what?” Sango said with worrieness written all over her face, considering Kohaku was her brother.

 

“But we lost contact with them an hour ago.” Inuyasha said looking down.

 

“So what do we do?” Ed said looking over at Koga.

 

“Get some rest we leave before dawn breaks. Dismissed.” Inuyasha said before getting up and leaving.

 

“I guess there's nothing to do right now.” Miroku said leaving the conference room. Sango left without saying a word and walked to the central garden and spotted Inuyasha sitting at a bench by himself. Sango didn't feel like being alone. Inuyasha was pondering over how Sango must feel right now.

 

“I feel weak useless. If I could just go to Midnight Mansion and bring Kohaku and his team back. I'm so stupid.”

 

“Inuyasha you can't blame yourself. You can't do anything right now.” Sango said startling Inuyasha.

 

“Oh Sango, you really scared me. Is something bothering you?” Inuyasha asked looking up at Sango.

 

“No I was just thinking of Kohaku that's all.” Sango said sitting down next to Inuyasha.

 

“Sango I'm sure he's alright.” Inuyasha said putting a comforting arm around Sango's shoulders.

 

“I hope so.” Sango said looking at the garden in front of them.

 

“We'll go there tomorrow don't worry.”

 

“Thank you, sir I mean Inuyasha.” Sango corrected herself.

 

“Sango get some rest you need to be in top shape tomorrow.” Inuyasha said taking his arm away.

 

“Yeah, I know.” Sango said getting up.

 

“See you in a few hours.”

 

“Bye Inuyasha.”

 

“Bye.” Inuyasha said as Sango walked out of the garden chamber. Inuyasha stayed in the garden for awhile and pondered about how it would be to hold Sango in his arms. The thought didn't last long as the intruder alarm went off. Ed raced to the security room and looked on the screens. Five vampires jumped over the brick wall near the front entrance. Ed left the security room and ran to the front entrance and Inuyasha was already opening the door. As soon as the door opened the vampires jumped in behind Ed and Inuyasha. Inuyasha kicked the one closest to him to the floor then pulled his dagger from his boot and slashed its throat but it would only slow them down. Ed punched a vampire into the wall then broke its arm but it healed instantly. By that time the others had made it to the front entrance and saw Inuyasha and Ed battling the bloodsuckers. Sango felt like she was gonna cry when Inuyasha got sliced down his arm. Ed had grabbed his stake from his sleeve and jammed it into the heart of the bloodsucker. Inuyasha grabbed a sharpened wooden piece from a chair that was broken during the confrontation. The vampire lunged at him and Inuyasha ran towards him. Just before they met Inuyasha slid to the floor and threw his hands upwards to the vampire over him shoving the stake into the heart. The other vampires had escaped.

 

“Inuyasha are you alright?” Ed asked dusting himself off.

 

“Yeah, I'm fine.” Inuyasha said grabbing his arm. The wound healed soon after he was cut.

 

“General Inuyasha sir.” Al, Ed's brother said running down the corridor.

 

“Yes?” Inuyasha said turning to Al.

 

“We have gained communication from Kohaku.”

 

“On my way.” Inuyasha said walking past the others. They entered the communications room.

 

“Kohaku, can you hear me?” Inuyasha said into the speaker.

 

“Yes.”

 

“Give me your report.”

 

“We infiltrated the mansion. It was abandoned or so it seemed, what seemed like the second in command ordered our capture.”

 

“Name?”

 

“Lord Daryl.”

 

“Where are the others?”

 

“I don't know. It just me and Ayame. Kikyo, Shippo, Kirara, and Koharu are all missing.”

 

“Were they captured?”

 

“We aren't positive. We were making our escape we had to cut through a forest when we made it to a clearing they vanished.”

 

“Are you okay? Do you have enough supplies?”

 

“We have enough to make it to the morning after that I'm not sure. They are searching for us as we speak.”

 

“Hold tight, my team is being dispatched in the morning.”

 

“Yes, sir.”

 

“Over and out.” Inuyasha didn't turn back to the others. ”Get some sleep we leave in a few hours.”

 

“Ed, get the ultraviolet light rounds and load all the guns with them.”

 

“Ok.” Ed said before he raced off to the armory. Sango slammed her fists into the wall and ran down the corridor.

 

“Sango!” Inuyasha shouted running after her. Sango continued to run until she got to her room. Inuyasha had caught up with her by the time she opened her chamber door.

 

“Sango, wait please.”

 

“Inuyasha, I can't stay here I have to go to him. He needs me, he needs my help.” Sango said hugging Inuyasha crying into his shoulder.

 

“Sango, I realize he's your brother, but if you go after him right now the vampires will find you and kill you and the hours aren't good.”

 

“I don't care I'll die for my brother. What do you care?” Sango yelled trying to break free from his grasp.

 

“I do care cause you're the best on the team under me, and I…”

 

“You what?”

 

“Uh nothing forget it. You can't go out there, and you're not going to at least not without me.” Inuyasha said letting Sango go.

 

“Ok, I won't go just promise me we'll bring him back with us tomorrow.”

 

“I promise. Come on I'll put you to sleep.” Inuyasha said opening the door to Sango's chamber. Sango walked over to her bed and lied down and pulled the blanket over her.

 

“See you in a few hours.”

 

“Bye.”

 

“Goodnight, Sango.” Inuyasha said running a hand over Sango's cheek.

 

“Inuyasha wait.” Sango said sitting up.

 

“Yes?” Inuyasha said walking back over to the bed. Sango didn't say anything she just kissed Inuyasha on lips lightly then lied back in bed.

I'm thinking about making this a Sango/Inuyasha story but I'm not sure. Review and tell me.
