Chapter one

A girl sat on the shoreline her toes buried in the sand. She watched sadly as the sun set over the calm ocean horizon. That very same sun set on the hopes and dreams of the poor girl. With a foreboding sigh the young woman stood up and brushed off the pesky sand that clung to her and her clothes.
Walking away from the serene ocean water and the sandy shore, with her shoes in hand, the girl bowed her head in silent regret. If you looked at her you would see that she was quite lovely. She had thick, wavy, black mid-length hair. Along with that she had a lithe slim form that had the perfect amount of curves that most women would die for. The said girl raised her bowed head slightly to see where she was going. When she did so you could see her beautiful unblemished face. Her face was shaped like the most perfect heart and upon that face rested gorgeous almond shaped sapphire blue eye, that seemed to just stare straight into your very soul. She had she most luscious pink lips , which were now parted slightly to let the air enter her lungs. TO many this girl was perfect in so many ways, but to those who knew her she was not as perfect as everyone made her seem.
After climbing the slight hill the girl strolled along the boardwalk past the shops and vendor booths that had closed for the evening. Realizing that it was getting very late the girl walked a little faster, then after a few long minutes passed she broke out into a full on run. Her bare feet pounded against the rough hard concrete as she ran faster and faster till she reached a corner house, this girl kept on running till she flung open the door and ran inside. Once inside she slammed the door with so much force that it shook the house. After doing so she leaned against the door panting heavily. Bringing her head to look up at the clock mounted on the wall she saw that she barely made it home on time. She let out a breath, that she didn’t even know she was holding out into the slightly erratic atmosphere.
“I made it.” She panted out.
She let her body slid down the door till she landed on the ground with a soft thump. the young woman heard foot steps coming towards her. They continued their course , till the stopped directly in front of her. The said girl raised to look at thee creature that now stood before her. It wa her mother. She gave a slight wince at the stone cold look her mother had just given her.
“ YUKO MARIE ALEXANDRA KITSUNE! ITS WAY PASSED THE TOWN CURFEW! Her mother yelled outrageously!
“ Melina…” Yuko started.
“NO, to you I amMOM notMELINA, young lady!” She said sternly.
“…Mom. I’m sorry I was lost in thought at the beach… It wasn’t till I saw that all the shops and vendors had gone home that I realized that it was passed curfew.” Yuko explained calmly to her worried mother.
Melina gave a tired and exasperated sigh, but smiled non the less at her daughter. “ Alright Yuko I understand. Just please, I beg you, please don’t be late again. I don’t want to lose you too.”
Yuko stood up and hugged her mother and promised she wouldn’t be late again unless in couldn’t be helped. After releasing her from her hug Melina asked Yuko if she was hungry. Yuko, while shaking her head, declined and stated that she was just to tired to eat and that she was going to get some sleep. Melina smiled as she watched her daughter drag herself up the stairs after wishing each other goodnight.
Walking over to the door she locked the multiple locks on the door before heading to the den to read her new romance novel. Yuko, once she reached her room, flopped on to her bed and stared up at her crimson ceiling. You see her mother and herself lived in a town where bad thing always happen. The town had mysterious deaths if people were out after sunset, so the town was placed under a curfew. She had also lost someone important in one of those many death. Yuko didn’t know how, but she wanted to find out who or what killed those people on that dreadful night…
