CHAPTER: I will always protect you

 

 

 

 

The Leafe knights transformed into their fighting outfits as Turquoise transformed into hers. It looked like Yoko Kurama's except hers was black with a turquoise colored rose on the front and back.

 

 

“Give me the ice demon”, the dragon demon said.

 

 

Hayate then moved in front of Turquoise and said, “I won't let you have her”.

 

 

“Hey Hayate what about us we won't let him have her either”, Go yelled. The dragon then swung at Hayate but he couldn't dodge it in time. When everyone looked Turquoise had countered the attack with an ice sword.

 

 

“You won't touch any of them”, Turquoise said. The dragon then shot a fire ball at Turquoise and the other knights as Turquoise shot and ice ball at the fire ball. She and the knights the jumped out of the way as the fire ball and ice ball exploded. The dragon then swung a sharp claw at Turquoise with no time to dodge Turquoise closed her eyes. She then heard a scream and opened them and saw that Hayate had took the blow for her as his side was ripped badly.

 

 

“Hayate”, Turquiose, Himeno, Sasame, Go, Kei, Hajime, and Mannen yelled as Shin started to cry.

 

 

“You bitch”, Turquoise yelled as she jumped up and stabbed and ice sword in the dragon's left eye. The dragon then screeched really loud in Turquoise's ears and Turquoise ran to Hayate.

 

 

“Are you alright”, Turquoise said.

 

 

“It's alright it is just a minor injury and don't drop your guard”, Hayate said giving a heart warming smile. Just then the dragon swung at Go but Turquoise jumped in the way and was sent flying with a gash on her arms.

 

 

“You bastard”, Hayate yelled as he got up and ran to the dragon ignoring his deep cut on his side. He then use his wind sword and stabbed out the dragon demons right eye. The dragon then slapped him into a tree making him scream. Turquoise heard then scream from Hayate and ran to the dragon. She grabbed its tail and starting swinging it around when she stopped she used her ice sword and shoved it up the dragon demon's ass. The dragon then swung at Turquoise as Sasame, Kei and, Go jumped in the waygetting smacked into trees. Angrily Turquoise stabbeb the dragon demon in the heart with an ice sword. The dragon finally dropped dead as Turquoise ran to Hayate's side.

 

 

“Are you alright”, She yelled with tears in her eyes.

 

 

“I am alright but your wound is deep”, Hayate said.

 

 

“Your wound is deeper”, Turquoise said. She then put her hands on Hayate's wound. She then started to use her healing powers to heal him as he put his hand on Turquoise's hand. Turquoise then smiled. The healing powers sent warmth through Hayate's body as his wound started to close up without a scar.

 

 

“Turquoise what about your wounds”, Hayate said.

 

 

“No need to worry I am a demon besides I can not always heal my wounds”, Turquoise said with a smile that melted Hayate's heart. Turquoise then with and healed the other knights wounds as they thanked her.

 

 

“Hello what about this barrier”, Mannen said as Turquoise dropped it and set the four free.

 

 

Hayate then approached Turquoise as he said, “Don't use any more of your powers you are weak and injured”.

 

 

“Don't worry Hayate I'll be fine I heal fast I am a demon”, Turquoise said as she fainted and landed into Hayate's arms.

 

 

 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~TWO HOURS LATER TURQUOISE'S POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

 

I start to wake up from that nightmare I have every once in a while about my family getting killed. As I start to open my eyes I feel a hand wipe my bangs out of my face. When my vision stabilized I seen Hayate in front of me.

 

 

“Hayate”, I whispered out.

 

 

“I am here I will always be here to protect you dummy don't block anyone else's blow alright you scared me half to death”, Hayate said as I smiled.

 

 

“Hayate”, I said out of confusion. The next thing you know Hayate bent his head and kissed me wrapping his arms around me. I was shocked at first but I returned his kiss wrapping my arms around him. He then licked my lips as I granted him entrance finding that he tasted like blue raspberry.

 

 

“Hayate”, Go yelled as we broke apart.

 

 

“What”, Hayate said in an annoyed voice.

 

 

“What the hell do you think you were doing”, Go said as his face got red. I then started to get out of bed as I unwrapped the cover off of me as all of the guys heads turned on me. I then looked down and saw that I was wearing some black shorts and my bra with bandages wrapped from under my bra to my waist covering the wound. I dived back in the covers embarrassed as my ears twitched in agitation.

 

 

“I would have told you if you haven't rushed”, Himeno said.

 

 

“Hayate can I borrow your coat”, I said as he took it off and handed me the coat. I then wrapped the coat around me tightly as I got up and went to Hayate. I then punched him in the face. I then went down the line and punched Sasame, Go, and Kei.

 

 

“I am sorry for whatever I did”, Sasame said with his hand on his cheek.

 

 

“What what was that for”, Hayate yelled next.

 

 

“What gives”, Go yelled.

 

 

“What did I do”, Kei said.

 

 

“For being perverts”, I yelled so loud that everyone flinched.

 

 

“After all Go deserved it”, Mannen said.

 

 

“Why you little punk”, Go yelled back. I then walked into my huge closet and locked the door behind me. I then got a matching black shirt with a pink flower on it and put it on taking Hayate's coat off. I then sniffed his wonderful scent in it. I then hit myself in the head screaming because of the impact. I the heard Hayate yelling outside of the door seeing if I was alright.

 

 

“Yeah”, I yelled. I then thought of a mischievous prank. I put Hayate's coat back on and walked out of the closet with the coat wrapped around me tightly. I then let it start sliding of off my shoulders as Go nearly slobbered but he was sadly disappointed to see a shirt. I then ran up to Go and punched him again.

 

 

“You pervert”, I yelled.

 

 

“Turquoise are you sure you should be running in your condition”, Hayate said.

 

 

“I'm cool”, Turquoise said laughing about how Go was pouting. I just sat down in the silence.

 

 

“Be right back”, I said getting up and running to the balcony jumping off as I headed to the pond. When I reached my destination I smelt Hayate's scent and turned around seeing Hayate.

 

 

“Turquoise I I love you”, Hayate stuttered out as tears stared to form in my eyes.

 

 

“Hayate I want to return you love, I returned your kiss, I want to love you but I haven't loved in seven years that I don't know how. Everytime I look at you I battle to find my locked away emotions I can't see you anymore I can't I am sorry”, I said with tears spilling out of my eyes as I turned and started running.

 

 

“Turquoise”, I heard Hayate yelled as he ran after me.

 

 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~NORMAL POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

 

Right before Turquoise's and Hayate's eyes Naraku appeared.

 

 

“Naraku”, Turquoise said as he grabbed around her neck and lifted her into the air.

 

 

“Turquoise”, Hayate yelled charging at Naraku. Naraku then stabbed Hayate in the chest with his free hand as Hayate fell to the ground clutching his chest.

 

 

“Hayate”, Turquoise choked out as Hayate got up and went at Naraku again as Naraku teleported away with Turquoise.

 

 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~WITH THE OTHERS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

 

“Do you think those two will be alright”, Himeno asked breaking the silence.

 

 

“Not likely”, Sasame said as al the attention fell on him.

 

 

“Why you say that”, Go said.

 

 

“An emotional scar like the one Turquoise has never heals easily, a open wound never closes completely, nor does the pain ever leave you”, Sasame said with an empathetic look in his eyes. All the attention then turn to a bleeding limping Hayate who was walking through the balcony door clutching his injured chest.

 

 

“Hayate what happened and where is Turquoise”, Sasame said rushing over to his injured friend.

 

 

“Naraku came and took her back to the demon world I could not protect her she is gone and in danger we must save her I could not protect her like I wanted to I couldn't I tried but they got away”, Hayate said with tears falling out of his eyes as he collapsed on the floor .
