My Last Breath-02

Disclaimer: I'm back although I don't know why. I…sniff…Don't…sniff…Own…Sailor Moon…sniff… Or Inuyasha…sniff. Oh yeah by the way Usagi was 18 when she defeated chaos.

 

Sesshoumaru dragged the cage behind him as he, Cosmos, and Inuyasha walked toward the Bone-Eaters Well. Inuyasha jumped through, and a minute later, Sesshoumaru dropped the cage through. Soon after, he and Cosmos followed it through. Cosmos let the group out of the well, this time with Inuyasha dragging the cage. They walked up to the door of the Higurashi home and knocked, loudly. The door was opened by Kagome's mom who instantly recognized Inuyasha. “Inuyasha-san what are you doing here? Where is Kagome-chan?” Cosmos stepped to the side, pulling a staff out of nowhere and began to whisper softly. When she stopped, she tapped the staff on Kagome's and her mother's foreheads. Kagome's mom collapsed to the floor and a weird sigil appeared on Kagome's head before she collapsed on the bottom of the cage. Before either of them woke up, Cosmos quickly detransformed and led Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha away to the outer's mansion.

 

Usagi pulled out a key ring and separated a garnet key away from all the others and inserted it in the door. The door swung open revealing an opulent manor house. They entered through the door way, and the first sight that greeted them was a mural of the Moon kingdom with the Earth hanging in the background. Usagi sighed “Michiru-san, or rather Sailor Neptune, excelled in the arts, she painted this from a scene in the time gates. If you look, there I am standing on the balcony.” She pointed to the little figure off to the side and sighed again. “Come on, we had better find you rooms.” Usagi led them down the hallway past a silvery door, to a blood red one. “Inuyasha, you can stay here. Sesshie-chan, you'll be staying in the sky blue one across the hallway. There are bathrooms attached to each, and if you need anything I'll be in the silver room down the hall. Since it's late I'd expect you want to sleep, so good night.” And with that she headed off to her room. when she entered the doorway, she gazed around at the murals of the Silver Millennium princesses that decorated her walls. Haruka, Setsuna, Hotaru, and Michiru had designed this room especially for her and had presented it to her for her 18th birthday. Shutting the door she stripped and headed to the bathroom. She turned on the water as hot as she dared and settled into the tub. Leaning back, tears began to run down her face as the events of today hit her full force. “I am a monster, why am I still alive when everyone else is dead? I should have been the one to die, not them. Not them.” She turned off the water and continued to cry out all her sorrows. “Usagi-san?” A voice whispered through the door. “Are you all right?” Usagi put as much happiness in her voice as she could and said “Hai, I'm fine Inuyasha.” Outside the bathroom door, Inuyasha still wasn't satisfied, but he headed back to his room anyway. Usagi got out of the tub and got dressed as quickly as she could, then headed off to her bed for her first good night's sleep in years.

 

The smell of food roused her the next morning. she sniffed. “Eggs, Bacon, and…pancakes! Yum!” She cried as she ran out of bed, her sorrows momentarily forgotten. She reached the kitchen to see Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru cooking over a… fire that was burning in the fireplace. She giggled happily and said “I don't think Setsuna intended for her fireplace to be used as a cookstove you guys. You're supposed to use the stove.” She gestured towards it. Inuyasha frowned “That metal demon cooks food? How?” Usagi shrugged “I don't know, I just know how to use it. Oh well.” She said as Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru carried the last of the food over to the table. “Let's Eat!” they all dug into the food and pretty soon it was gone. As they were clearing the table, Usagi paused as she remembered what she had to do. “Ano… Sesshie-chan, Inuyasha-san I have a lot of errands to run today. Do you guys want to come with?” They nodded and quickly finished clearing off the table before heading off to Makoto's apartment.
