My Last Breath-06

What would you all do if I died and fell off the face of the Earth, and my stories were no longer forthcoming? It's my guess that no one would notice, cuz no one's probably reading this anyways. Oh well, the demons tell me to write and I obey. Something good should happen in the next few chapters, I'm not sure which and the focus will be more on Usagi when it does.

Disclaimer: Wait a minute… I just found this piece of paper in my pocket that reads /The bearer of this paper does…smudge…own Inuyasha and Sailor Moon./ Wait what is that smudge there for, it looks like the smudge says something… it says… /not./ WAAAAHHHH why did I have to raise my hopes up like that!

 

 

The portal dumped them out right in front of… “Oh no.” Usagi said and at that simple statement, everyone passed out. “What do you mean `oh no'? Usa-chan do you have any idea where we are? I don't, and that is not a good thing.” Mary said as she turned around. When Usagi shook her head Mary said “Okay then, everyone out of the car. Until we know what level of technology this world has, I don't want anyone seeing this.” Everyone hopped out of the car, and began walking down the road as Mary packed away her car then caught up to them. They walked for a few miles until they came upon a town. They saw a few cars and such, but continued walking. The stopped in front of an electronics store to watch a news broadcast, and when Mary heard the word Gundam she began repeatedly slamming her head into the nearest wall. “You just had to drop us here didn't you? The single most violent dimension and you had to drop us in it. Oi ve. Oh well, at least I know where we are and what to do.” She snuck down a deserted alley and soon came out driving her car. “Usa-chan, can you portal us home?” Usagi began to form a portal, but with an audible snap it closed. “No, something is preventing me from opening a portal, I can try again later but I doubt I'll be able to.” Mary sighed and drove off. “Looks like its Peacecraft Academy for us then. I hope we don't run into Relena.” She shuddered. Pretty soon they pulled up to Peacecraft Academy, and entered through the gates. Mary parked the car and the all walked into the admissions office. (A.N. For sanity's sake, I made Peacecraft Academy a K-12 school. K-7 have classes in one building, and 8-12 are in another. They are in the same dorms, and Rin is 10 so she is in 5th grade.) Once they all registered and were given keys to their dorm, they moved in. Mary and Sesshoumaru entered their dorm and looked around. So far everything was fine, up until Mary entered her room. She screamed “IT”S PINK!!!!!!! GAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!” She kept on screaming and ran out behind Sesshoumaru. “KILL IT! PLEASE KILL IT! THE PINK!” one of the other three doors opened and someone yelled “Shut that Onna up!” Before they slammed the door. In a last ditch attempt to keep he calm, he dragged her into his room which had black walls. Seating her on his bed, he walked into her room and had to squint at all the pink. He slowly disassembled her bed and began dragging it into his room, leaving the pink sheets behind. When all the pieces had been hauled over and reassembled, he sat down next to Mary. “I almost went blind from all that pink. I don't blame you for screaming it's painful. I figured you didn't want to sleep in that nightmare, ne?” Mary nodded. Sesshoumaru got up and pulled out the spare set of sheets and began to make Mary's bed. Once he finished, they headed over and began to take all the non-pink things into Sesshoumaru's room. once they had finished moving them all, Usagi began emptying out her subspace pocket of almost everything that they bought at the mall. Putting away all the clothes and stuff, she pulled out the refrigerator and set it in the corner. Once all the stuff was put out, they had a nice mini-apartment, it was slightly cramped, but still cozy. They left their dorm, and headed down to Usagi and Rin's. They knocked on the door and it was opened by a boy with messy chocolate hair and Prussian blue eyes. He opened his mouth to speak before Rin pushed him out of the way and jumped into Sesshoumaru's arms. “Lord Sesshoumaru, that meanie has a gun and he pointed it at me and Usa-chan! Usa-chan got so mad that she almost beat him up with her staff, but she stopped her self. Could you beat him up for me please Lord Sesshoumaru?” Placing Rin down on the floor, Sesshoumaru pulled out his sword and pointed it at the boy. “You, whoever you are, leave this girl and Sere-chan alone do you hear me?” the boy pulled out his gun and pointed it at Sesshoumaru. “Who are you and who do you work for?” Noticing no response was forthcoming, he dropped his gun until it pointed at Mary. Sesshoumaru got pissed when the boy pointed his gun at Mary. Raising his sword, he cut right through the gun “And if I even hear a rumor about you doing anything at all to my Koibito, I will do the same thing to your head that I did to your gun. Understand?” Hiiro just turned around and walked into his room. (A.N. Laptop ne?) Usagi walked out of her door, and over to them as Sesshoumaru put his sword away. “I take it you met our roommate? friendly ne?” Usagi invited them into her room, but Mary stopped “I.. Is your room P.. P.. Pink?” Usagi shook her head “No, Rin took that one, mine is gray.” Relieved, Mary and the others followed Usagi into her room. They all sat down and Usagi said “I take it Mary-chan got the pink room?” Mary giggled as Sesshoumaru shook his head. “Not after the hysterics she had.” (mockingly) “KILL IT! PLEASE KILL IT! THE PINK!” Usagi and Rin burst out laughing at the high pitched, girlish voice Sesshoumaru had used when he mimicked Mary. Who then got angry, hit Sesshoumaru, and stormed back to her dorm.

 

When she opened the door, a boy with chestnut hair in a braid down to his but was sitting on the couch eating chips. He looked up as she entered the doorway “Whoa. Babe. What's your name? Wanna go out with me?” Mary screamed and ran into the nearest doorway, barricading the door. A man sat on the floor doing katas “What are you doing in my room Onna?” Mary screamed and ran out the door as the man leapt to his feet katana in hand “Injustice!” She ran out the door and ran straight into the boy from earlier. She landed on top of him and screamed again. she got up and ran into the corner, cowering. As she kept on screaming, Sesshoumaru ran in the door, sword in hand. “Mary what's wrong?” He stopped at the sight of two guys cornering his Koibito. He ran forward and began swinging his sword, whacking the guys with the flat of it. He stood in front of her sword at the ready, and almost fell when she glomped him from behind “WAI! SESSHOUMARU! THEY WERE BEING MEAN TO ME!” He tried to turn around and look at the thing that was glued to his back but he couldn't. “Ok, what did they do?” Mary sniffed pitifully “One of them tried to hit on me, and the other tried to kill me with his katana.” She suddenly stopped crying “OMG! OMG! WHAT DID I JUST DO? I ACTED LIKE A NORMAL GIRL! SOMEONE SHOOT ME… Oh yeah that's my job.” She was about to pull out her staff when Sesshoumaru dropped her on the floor. She stood up and shook her head, then held her hand up to it. “Ouch! My head… I'm sorry for whatever just happened, my head hurts like the dickens.” She noticed the other two occupants of the room and stood up “My name is Mary, nice to beat…err…meet you. This is Sesshoumaru, I guess we're your roommates.” With that she stood up and entered her room collapsing on her bed. “Hey, look I'm sorry about her, she's not normally like this, I think she's just spazzing about being somewhere new. She should be back to her calm self by tomorrow.” Sesshoumaru said as he dropped dramatically on the couch and flipped on the TV, giving Mary a chance to change in peace. The guy with the chestnut braid sat down beside him and said “my name is Duo, and he's Wufei, I'm sorry now that I hit on her. Especially if she reacts like that every time.” Sesshoumaru's eye began to twitch “You hit on her? Do you even know how lucky you are to be alive? That staff she wields is deadly, and if she had been in her right mind, you, him and that guy with the gun would all be dead right now. As it is I had to cut off the guy's gun before she went bezerk.” Duo looked scared “You killed Perfect Soldier's gun? Oh my god, he's probably got a death sentence on your head right now. I'd go and hide if I were you.” Sesshoumaru smirked “If he planned to kill me, Mary would know. She isn't the goddess of death for nothing you know.” Duo frowned and his bottom lip began to tremble. “But I'm Shinigami! The one and only! I'll show her!” And he stomped off into Mary's room.

 

When Duo entered through the door, Mary was sitting in her bed, staring at the wall. “So he told you did he?” she whispered softly before a pair of black wings sprouted out of her back “I am Nezumi, goddess of death and you are?” Duo walked up to her and said “I am Duo, god of death.” Mary stared at him “Do I know you?” She whispered softly, then it hit her “Anata wa Emma-ho! Anata wa Atashi no otouto-chan. Duo do you remember me?” She touched his forehead lightly and it blazed with black energy. Duo smiled “You have changed much since the last time I saw you Ane-chan. It's been a long time.” Mary threw her arms around him “Otouto-chan you remember! I missed you so much! I need to introduce you to my Koibito, now be nice.” She stood up and began to walk out the door when Duo stopped her and pointed to her wings. She smiled sheepishly and they disappeared. When they arrived in the living room, she plopped down beside Sesshoumaru, pulling Duo down too. “Sesshoumaru, this is my otouto-chan Emma-ho. He also judges the souls of the dead. We are the Shinigami and the Shinimegami… Oh yeah! Du-chan, I have something for you.” She pulled out her staff and the mirror of souls. She tapped the mirror twice and it separated into a black and a silver mirror. “I have our mirrors that those demons stole during our rebirth.” She handed him the black one and they stood up. “Now forever united are we, judgment we pass, damned or not. We who possess these powers do solemnly swear by the mirrors of souls, to pass judgment until our day of death and rebirth.” As they finished speaking, a black light flashed out of the mirrors and surrounded their bodies. When it dissipated, Nezumi and Emma-ho stood there smirking. “After thousands of rebirths, you finally beat me to the binding Ane-chan, but at least this time we were able to bond together. You know we are more powerful when we do it at the same time.” Emma-ho said as he and Nezumi returned to their normal states. “Although I never expected you to bond with a Lunarian, and one of royal blood at that. Weren't they once our sworn enemies?” Mary nodded “Yes they were back when the thought we had participated in the assassination of Serenity III. But then they found out that we had no connection, and forgave us. By the way, is a demon named Naraku in hell right now?” when Duo nodded Mary continued “Make sure to have him tortured as much as possible, the bastard tried to kill me. But Sesshoumaru here saved me.” She leaned back against Sesshoumaru and yawned. Duo smiled “Well seeing as how he saved your life, I won't protest the sleeping arrangements but if he tries anything, I will kill him. Ne Ane-chan?” She glared at him “You wouldn't dare!” Duo just smirked and went to bed. Pretty soon, Mary and Sesshoumaru went to bed too.

 

 

Dangit! It's so hard to change POV's, I know Usagi seems like she's gone from the face of the Earth, and I know I promised to do more with her, but it's so hard! By the way, even I didn't know Duo was going to be Emma-ho. It just kinda snuck up on me. Now for your favorite part, Definitions!

Emma-ho- Japanese lord of the dead, passes judgment on souls as well

Ane-chan- Older sister (Informal)

Otouto-chan- Younger brother (Informal)

Ne- Right? (no direct translation, makes the sentence like a question almost)

Anata wa Emma-ho!- You are Emma-ho!

Anata wa Atashi no otouto-chan- You are my younger brother!

Shinigami- God of Death

Shinimegami- Goddess of Death

Koibito- Love/Lover

Lunarian- Person of the Moon
