‘That’s it! I cant stand it anymore.’ kagome thought as she made her way to the well. ‘What the hell does he take me for? I just graduated from high school, im not fucking stupid.’ Earlier she went looking for inuyasha to let him know breakfast was ready. After about ten minutes of searching through the woods she found him. He was by a tree near a stream making out with kikyo. Kagome shuttered at the memory. She remembered trying not to vomit when she say inuyasha and kikyo groping each other.

When she reached her destination she took off the necklace that contained the shards of the shikon no tama and dropped it besides the well. She thought about all the time they shared. All the adventures, the fights, and the good times.

‘Fuck it. She can help him search for the shards. Im done wasting my life on him.’ she thought before she jumped through the well. The feeling of the warm blue magic of the well always had a way of calming her down, but this time it only fueled her anger. ‘From now on all I want is a normal life, free of demons and hanyou’s’ she thought as she climbed out of the well and exited the well house.

“Mom, grandpa, souta. Im home.” kagome yelled as she entered the house, but she was met by silence. “Mom, grandpa, souta anyone im home.”

As she was met with silence again she went to the counter looking for the note she knew would be there. Her mom always left a note if they went somewhere in case kagome came home while they were gone.

Kagome,

your grandpa won a family trip to Hawaii. We will be gone a month. I bought plenty of noodles and medical supplies for inuyasha and your other friends. Please be careful.

“Dammit if I wasn’t wasting all of my time in the past with inuyasha I could have went to Hawaii. Oh well at least I’ll have the house to myself for a month. Kagome thought as she headed to her room.

After a twenty minute soak in her tub kagome wanted to do something. She hasn’t hung out with her friends in a while and she missed them. She decided to call her friend Lilith and see what she was up to. (Im sorry but I hate her three little friends on the show so since this is a fanfic I changed it.)

“Hello?”

“Hey Lil what’s up?”

“Kagome?” Lilith asked cause she hasn’t talked to her friend in so long. “Nothing much just bored out of my mind. How about you?”

“Same here my family went on some trip and wont be back for a month.” kagome said while looking through her closet for what she was going to wear.

“Damn if only I was so lucky. I’ve been listening to my mom and her boyfriend yell at each other all day.”

“Oh well I was calling to see if you wanted to do anything today.” kagome asked.

“Well im supposed to meet nick and vash at the mall later. Want to go early so we can do the girlie shopping?” Lilith asked cause she had to go and this way she could get out of the house earlier then before.

“Sure what time do you want me there.” kagome asked happiness clearly written in her voice.

“Um how about I pick you up. I think the fight is going to progress to the throwing shit around phase and I don’t want you getting in the middle of some random throw.” Lilith said observing the fight going on in the living room. “I’ll pick you up in thirty.”

“Ok see you soon. Bye.”

“See ya.”

About thirty minutes and a lot of stealth moves to get the keys and out of the house later Lilith pulled up to the shrine and started up the stairs. “Why couldn’t kagome live in a house with minimal steps.

When Lilith reached the shrine she just walked right in. Lilith knew kagome since they were two and were constantly at each others house so they didn’t see a reason for knocking and just walked into each others house.

“Kagome are you ready yet?” Lilith asked trying to pinpoint where kagome was.

“Give me one second I can’t find my shoes.” kagomes’ voice came drifting from her room.

“I gave you thirty minutes. Get your ass down here now.” Lilith said teasing kagome about her still getting ready.

“Ok im ready to go.” kagome stated as she walked down the stairs.

She was wearing a black shirt with foamy the squirrel with his fingers curled saying squirelly wrath on it and black baggy pants with multiple zippers on it.

“Nice I must remember to borrow that sometime” Lilith said eying her outfit.

“No way. This is my favorite outfit.”

“Ok well lets get going. I turned off my cell phone and I don’t want my mom calling here for me.”

“Ok lets go then.”

in Feudal Japan

“Where’s kagome?” inuyasha when he saw that she wasn’t with the rest or the group in keade’s hut.

“She went home.” Sango said while glaring at inuyasha.

“Dammit. She can’t keep doing that we have jewel shards to find. Did she say when she was coming back?” he asked while staring at the group.

“No. She came in here about an hour ago looking upset grabbed her stuff and announced that she was going home.” miriku stated.

Shippo launched himself at inuyasha and started hitting him on the head. “What did you do to make her leave us?” shippo started to cry.

“Yes inuyasha we would like to know the same thing.” miriku asked even though he had a pretty good idea what it was.

“I didn’t do anything. Hell I haven’t even seen her all day. I was.....shit.” inuyasha didn’t even finish his sentence as he threw shippo away from him and ran out of the hut towards the well.

-shit why didn’t I smell her there.

-you know why you didn’t smell her there. You were a little ‘preoccupied’.

-shut up I don’t need this shit from you. -yes you do. For I am you and for me to ‘shut up’ you would have to come to terms with why you feel guilty and fix it. -shut up. Its not my fault. I have certain needs and kikyo is more then willing to help me with them. -but you know how it hurts kagome to find you with her. And you know she always finds you when you go the kikyo. One of these time you are going to push her too far and she wont come back. -well if she were willing to help me out I wouldn’t have to go to kikyo. And she will come back because she has to help gather the shards and defect Naraku. Beat that inner voice. -if you would just ask kagome to be your mate you wouldn’t have to go to kikyo and if you keep that up she wont care about the shards or naraku anymore and she will stay in her time. -shut up!!! gods I hate you!!! she probably didn’t even see anything. She probably got bored and went home.

-keep telling yourself that.

After a few minutes of arguing with himself he came to the well.

He had one hand on the well and was about to jump in when something on the ground reflecting the sunlight caught his eye. He bent down and picked up the chain that contained the shards that kagome always wore, and that’s when he knew that she saw him with kikyo.

Inuyasha sat on the lip of the well thinking about what he would do.

‘Ok all I have to do is get close enough to kagome to where she cant sit me then I will convince her to come back with me.’

“Yea that’s what I’ll do.” inuyasha said to himself as he jumped into the well.

Inuyasha jumped out of the well and snuck out of the well house. He was careful as he climbed the tree so he could get to kagome’s bedroom window. He looked inside and when he didn’t see kagome he opened her window as quietly as he could and climbed in. He used his ears to try to locate her in the house but he couldn’t detect her anywhere. He went looking through the house to try to figure out where she could be. He found the note that kagome’s mom left her but that didn’t explain where she was. With a frown on his face he went to his favorite branch in the god tree and waited for kagome to return home.

at the mall

kagome and Lilith stopped and found an empty table in the food court. They had been wondering around the mall for the past two hours.

“Ok we went to suncoast, B. Dalton, spencers, and hot topic. Where else do you want to go?” asked Lilith.

“Game stop and bumble bee toys.” kagome answered after thinking about which stores they had in this mall.

“Bumble bee toys? I haven’t been there since we were little kids.” Lilith said as she remembered how the last time they went there they were ten.

Lilith was brought out of her musing when a guy with short black hair walked up and sat next to her.

“What were you thinking about?” he asked.

“Huh? Oh nothing nick. Just thinking about something from forever ago.” Lilith answered him.

“Kagome! Woah haven’t seen you around in forever.” nick commented when he noticed kagome sitting across from him. “Well I think you just made Vash’s day.”

“Vash is here?” kagome asked while looking around for him.

“Yea he’s cleaning out the doughnut shop.” nick said pointing to the stand.

Sure enough there was vash walking away with five boxes of doughnuts.

“Someone die?” kagome asked with barely contained laughter.

“Kagome! When did you get back? Hey wait a minute what do you mean someone died?” vash asked his joy at seeing kagome being replaced with confusion.

“Usually someone gets that much doughnuts when someone dies. What do you mean back?” kagome asked not understanding what he meant.

 “Yea your mom told the principal that you went to stay with your grams in England. Something about her dying or her needing help or something. You know how much stories change from person to person.” vash explained.

“Oh yea. No she wasn’t dying. She just needed some help for a while. I got back today actually. I just thought you thought I went with my family.” kagome explained making it up on the top of her head.

“Well it’s good that she’s ok. Great they’re at it again.” vash said drawing attention to Lilith and nick making out.

“When did this happen?” kagome asked staring at her friend who was currently groping and being groped by her other friend.

“They started going out about a month ago. Hey they’re going to be at this for a while is there any other stores you want to go to.” vash asked kagome.

“Yea. When do you think they will be done?” she asked.

“I’d have to say about eight tonight. So come on.” vash answered standing up ready to leave.

“Where are we going?” kagome asked standing up next to him.

“We’re going to finish shopping, come back and check on them, then I don’t know.”

“Ok.”

Kagome spent the next two hours shopping with vash. They acted just like kids. At bumble be toys they got kicked out after setting off all of the toys that made noises and setting up a whole aisle fight between the action figures. And at game stop they got yelled at for putting some of the games in the wrong section.

When they got back at the food court Lilith and nick were still going at it.

“Lilith I need you to take me home.” kagome said while poking her friend in the back.

“But kagome nick was going to take us to the compound. It’s a Goth./rocker hang out.”

“Lilith cant you just run me home first. Im not in the mood to party.”

“I can bring you home.” vash offered.

“That’s perfect” Lilith said turning her attention back to nick.

 “You don’t mind?” kagome asked vash hating to disturb his plans.

“Nah. We don’t get to hang out that much anymore so I see it as payback.” vash replied smiling at kagome.

On the ride home kagome and vash screamed out lyrics to the rock music they played. Since the family was on vacation vash parked right in front of the shrine.

“Here let me help you.” vash said while taking the bags from kagome hands.

“Thanks. Hey you want to play soul calabar 2. I bet I can still kick your ass at it.” kagome taunted.

“Your on. There’s no way that you can beat me anymore.” vash said racing her up the stairs.

Once they got inside they threw everything on the couch and started their game-a-thon.

inuyasha was in the tree when he heard a car pull up. He was just about to jump down to confront kagome when he noticed that there was some guy with her.

‘Who the fuck is that.’ he thought to himself watching the way she was relaxed around him.

‘Fine I’ll wait till he leaves’ inuyasha thought believing that it would only be a few minutes, but after ten minutes went by he started to get pissed and worried. So he snuck into kagome’s room and crept slowly down the stairs. What he say made his blood boil. There was kagome laying down on the floor next to the guy from earlier. They were laying there laughing and looking at the t.v. while moving their hands around some weird object.

‘What the fuck are they doing? Why the fuck is he laying so close to my kagome? Why is she so relaxed around him?’ those were some of the questions that went through his mind.

But the biggest one on his mind was what if kagome started to like this new guy?

He couldn’t allow that to happen.

I don’t really like how I did this chapter I might go back and redo it.
