Forever Is Never

Chapter 2: A pirate's life for me...and you...and the kid.

~Meg's P.o.V.~

~one week later...~

I smiled as me and Jack walked in. Jack was holding a camera in one hand, smiling down at the baby in his other arm. "And this Rowan, is your new house..." he said. She blinked her brown eyes up at him. I nudged up next to Jack, letting Rowan, our little daughter, entwine her fingers around my one finger. Jack put his arm around me as I rested my head on his shoulder,"Happy, love?" he whispered, kissing my cheek. I nodded and kissed him on the lips.

Later on, Sarah and Will came over. Yes, we'd moved back to Canada again. After the...thing that happened almost 9 months ago, we moved away from the Carribean. I didn't want to lose Jack again.

We'd laid Rowan down in her cradle while me, Jack, Will and Sarah enjoyed a nice dinner. I went back into our small kitchen for dessert and leaned on the counter, thinking. If not for Maxine, I wouldn't be as happy as I was now. She'd let Jack go...and gotten herself away too. Only after InuYasha got a gaping hole in his stomach. And Maxine was left with guilt these past 9 months. We hadn't spoken for awhile...ever since all of us left Kim's house up in Maine. After that...we all tried to forget what happened. Me and Sarah were, of course, still in contact. The last I'd heard from Kim had been over a week ago or so. She'd briefly explained things she'd heard from Max and InuYasha. I, as sick as it made me feel, wasn't surprised. They'd always argued...and after what had happened 9 months ago...it seemed wrong and different...

Jack walked in, looking at me,"You alright, love?" he whispered, pulling me into a hug, his chin resting on my head. I sighed lightly,"Yea, never better..." I said. He kissed me,"Cheer up love...it'll be better now...a pirate's life for me, aye?" he said, smiling. I smiled back,"For me and you...and the kid, love..." I said. He laughed,"The kid, eh?" he asked. I smirked,"Our daughter...Rowan..." I whispered. "She'll be like her mother," Sarah said from the doorway. I smiled at her...my very pregnant friend. I hugged her tight,"Thanks Marshmellow," I said, smiling. "No problem, Cap'n..." she replied.

We partied the rest of the night and we finally got to bed at about 3 AM. Will and Sarah crashed in the other bedroom. I laid in bed as Jack slept soundly next to me. I tried closing my eyes but finally leaned over Jack and grabbed the phone, dialing Max's number. We always said to call whenever we thought it was the right time. For me, 4 in the morning was a great time. I couldn't sleep. Apparently she couldn't either, she answered on the first ring.

"Hello?" came the answer. She sounded distant.

"Max? Magazine?!" I said, sitting up.

"Meg! Whoa...hey...what's up?" she asked.

"Awake, you?"

"The sky...it's up...it's...dark."

"Haha...how're you?"

"Um...good...Kim told me...she told you about InuYasha and me?"

"Yea...you okay?"

"Never better...never worse...in between, you know?"

"Yea...so..."

After that uncomfortable introductory conversation, we talked for two hours. She said she had to go to work so we finally hung up. At that instant, Will burst in our room,"Sarah...she's...baby...coming..." he stuttered. Jack had woken up and was staring at him,"Will, mate...calm down..." he said. "The baby is coming!" Sarah shouted from down the hall. "Ohmigod..." I whispered. We all jumped forward. Jack stayed home with Rowan while I went to the hospital with the happy couple...

~Sarah's P.o.V.~

"The baby's coming...the baby is coming..." I whispered over and over. Meg held my hand as we slid into the back seat. Will started and drove as quick as possible. But six 'o clock in the morning isn't the best time to drive. We hit rush hour within minutes. I screamed in pain,"THIS BABY IS COMING NOW WILL!" I yelled. "Shh, love...Sarah I love you...we'll be there soon..." he said. She leaned forward and grabbed him by the shirt collar,"Right now, I could care less if you love me or not, William! Make this fucking pain stop!" I yelled. He stuttered in shock. "YOU MADE THIS HAPPEN AND YOU CAN MAKE THIS STOP! PUT IT BACK IN IF YOU NEED TO!" I screamed. Meg smirked lightly as Will started driving again. "FUCK! MAKE IT STOP! THIS BABY IS...is...is..." I said. Meg jumped to attention,"Ohmygod, this baby is coming..." I said, grabbing her hand. Meg coached me again,"Push Sarah!" Will freaked,"WHAT?!" he said, turning in his seat so fast I could hear his neck pop. I screamed again,"FUCKING BLOODY HELL WILL! HOW THE FUCK COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?! DAMNIT, FUCKING SHIT I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!" I held Meg's hand tighter as she whispered to me,"Push Sarah...1,2,3...push!" I grabbed her shirt collar next,"I AM PUSHING DAMNIT, JUST MAKE IT STOP!" I yelled. "PUSH!" She screamed at me. I pushed as hard as I could, screaming every curse word I knew at the top of my lungs,"FUCK, SHIT, I HATE YOU WILL! DAMNIT! MAKE IT FUCKING STOP! PUT IT BACK IN! FUCK!"

~a couple hours later...~

I lay in the hospital bed, holding my little baby daughter. I smiled at Will who looked at me nervously. "I love you," I whispered. He smiled and stepped toward me, looking down at the baby in my arms,"My two girls..." he whispered, kissing me. "What should we name her?" I asked, smiling and kissing back. He looked at her and smiled at me,"Tory...?" he asked. "You read my mind, Will...I love you..." I said. He kissed me again,"I love you..." he whispered. If we weren't in a hospital, we probably would've...ahem...been in bed together again. But then I thought about...and I might've been with another kid if that were the case. And I didn't want to go through that again...

I smiled at my little daughter again and something popped in my head,"It's Meg's birthday," I said. Will smirked at Meg who was sitting in the corner,"I guess she gets a little god daughter for her birthday..." he said. She smiled and stepped forward, looking down at her god daughter Tory.
