Chapter six: The Tortoise and the Hare

 

* Hiei and Kuwabara appear and see that they are together and glare at eachother*

 

Kuwabara: What gives…where am I and why is the Shrimp here?

 

Hiei: Hiei.

 

Kuwabara: What?

 

Hiei: My name is Hiei. Why can't you get that through your little brain you baka!

 

Kuwabara: Shrimp suits you better.

 

Hiei: And the dead baka suits you better!

 

Kuwabara: You're mean!

 

Narrator: Enough! We have a story to get through!

 

Hiei: A story?

 

Kuwabara: I LOVE STORIES!

 

Hiei: Shut up.

 

Kuwabara: No.

 

Hiei: Which story?

 

Narrator: The tortoise and the hare. Hiei you are playing the part of the Hare and Kuwabara is the tortoise.

 

Kuwbara: Ha! That means I win with my cleverness!

 

Hiei and Narrator (with a sweat drop): Maybe….

 

Hiei: Or I win because of my speed.

 

Kuwabara: Nah. In a race it's all about cleverness.

 

Hiei: Is cleverness even a word?

 

Kuwbara: It is now!

 

Hiei: I'll kill you.

 

Narrator: Anyways, when I say start, you run around this course and who ever gets to the finish line first, wins. Easy no?

 

Kuwabara: Wait, you lost me, can you repeat that again?

 

Narrator: Start!

 

* Hiei runs at the speed of light, leaving Kuwabara in the dust *

 

Kuwabara: Hey, wait for me! * Starts to jog*

 

Narrator: So, Hiei-I mean the hare leaves Kuw-I mean the tortoise in the dust. But the tortoise wouldn't give up. After all, he had to prove that his “cleverness” could beat speed.

 

Kuwbara: Strait up!

 

Narrator: Don't say that.

 

Kuwbara: I hate you!

 

* Narrator uses his almighty power to strike Kuwabara with lightning *

 

Kuwbara: Ow….HEY, THAT HURT!

 

Narrator: Don't mess with me I have powers!

 

Kuwbara: Mommy….

 

Narrator: *clears throat * So, the tortoise is miles behind the hare and all hope for him is lost. Lets check up on Hiei- I mean the hare.

 

* Hiei is almost at the finish line when he sees Auron, Rikku and Raven *

 

Hiei: What the?

 

Rikku: Ooops, it looks like we walked into another story.

 

Raven: Just shut up and keep walking.

 

Rikku: AURON, SHE IS BEEING MEAN!

 

Auron: What do you want me to do about it?

 

Rikku: Tell her to stop!

 

Rave: Gummy bears.

 

Rikku: *screams a high pitch scream that could make someone deaf *

 

Raven: What is with you and gummy bears?

 

Auron: You don't want to know.

 

Rikku: AURON IF YOU DON'T TELL HER TO STOP I'M GOING TO TELL LULU THAT YOU WERE THE ONE BEING MEAN TO ME!

 

Auron: Please no…. *turns to Raven * I'll do what ever you say if you stop being…mean to Rikku. Please……I don't want Lulu mad at me…she is scary when she is mad.

 

Raven: What ever.

 

Hiei: What ever. What are you doing here in the first place?

 

Auron: Trying to find a way out of this fucking book.

 

Rikku: Want to come.

 

Hiei: Only if I don't have to talk to you.

 

Rikku: * sighs * Fine.

 

Hiei: Hold on…let me finish this stupid, no competition race. *walks to the finish line* Done.

 

Auron: Good, lets get out of here! * Him, Rikku, Raven and Hiei leave *

 

Kuwabara(who is still barely past the starting line): Wait…no fair, I was supposed to win!

 

Narrator: True. But in the original story, the hare is supposed to be only fast and the tortoise is supposed to be clever. That's why in the original story the tortoise wins. But in this story, Hiei, aka, the hare was fast and clever. And you are just stupid and a waste of flesh!

 

Kuwbara: Thanks…
