Chapter 8

Sango looked deep into Hiei's eyes, allowing all of the love that she feels for him to be reflected in her eyes.

“Yes Hiei, I would love to become your mate.” Sango said softly. “I love you.”

Hiei, not one to show emotions felt a huge wave of relief overwhelm him as well as a strong surge of love. He promptly picked her up in his arms bridal style. Then started to walk out of camp to look for someplace `more' private.

“Have a nice `walk' my dear Sango.' Miroku suggested leeringly.

“Yes Hiei, I hope your `walk' helps you to relive some `stress'.” Higaro taunted.

“Hn” was all Hiei said. No emotion showing on his face. Nothing to give away a hint of what he was feeling. That is if you don't count the slight blush that tinged his face. While Sango buried her burning face in his neck. Trying to hide her embarrassment from the two hentai's they were leaving behind in the camp. She didn't know where Hiei was taking her, but she trusted him enough not to have to ask. She and her future mate had some business to take care of. Some `MATING' business that needed to be seen to.

Hiei carried her into a small clearing. He gently layed her upon the soft green grass while looking deeply into her eyes.

“Are you sure this is what you want Sango.” Hiei asked softly. “There is no going back after this.” He was still looking into her eyes trying to read any doubts that she may have.

Sango brought her hand up and gently cupped the side of his face. “I have never been more sure in my life. “I don't want to live without you.” She said softly, letting Hiei read certainty in her eyes.

Hiei slowly lowered his head and tenderly touched his lips with hers. Even though Sango had expressed no doubts about mating with him. He wanted to make sure this is what she wanted.

The kiss started out slowly, tenderly, and very gentle. Dragging out the anticipation of what was to come next. Sango slowly melted under Hiei's gentleness. Hiei, with deliberate slowness, gently peeled off Sango's clothes and then swiftly got rid of his own. He wanted nothing to separate their bodies. He wanted to be able to feel every inch of her skins with his own. They were drowning in each other. The gentle caresses they bestowed upon each other heightened the feeling that they shared for each other.

Hiei slowly parted Sango's thighs and positioned himself at her entrance. “Sango, Let me look into your eyes.” He requested. He wanted to look deep into her eyes when he finally entered her.

Sango feeling as if her whole body was made of pure liquid, was slightly surprised to find that she had indeed closed her eyes some time during all those sensations. She slowly opened them only to be caught up in the intensity of Hiei's eyes. She could just disappear under those crimson red eyes of his.

“I love you Hiei.” She said softly.

“As I love you.” Hiei responded back softly, unable to keep those words from falling from his lips. He meant them more than anything. In such a short time Sango had become the most important person in his life. He would do anything to for her.

He slowly sank his length into her. Still looking into her chocolate brown eyes. He started a slow rhythm at first, the gradually increased his pace. The sensations slowly becoming too intense for Sango as made whimpering sounds in the back of her throat. She finally closed her eyes and arched her back baring her neck to Hiei. Hiei lowered his head and started licking, nibbling, and kissing the right side of her neck. The sensations were slowly driving her mad. She needed more. She had to have more. There was a need for Hiei that she could not contain. Sango raised her legs and locked them behind his back bringing him closer to her. She felt her release coming closer and closer until she could no longer hold back. She was washed in pleasure so intense it bordered in pain.

As Hiei felt Sango's release he buried his fangs deep into the side of her neck marking her as his. And then promptly followed her release with his own. When Hiei finally came too, he found that his fangs where still buried in her neck and slowly removed them while licking away all of the blood. Hiei looked at the mark as it slowly started to take shape. The mark turned into a small flame surrounded by ice crystals, proclaiming her the mate of the forbidden child. She had completely accepted him. And surprisingly this brought more peace to the forbidden one than he had ever imagined to have. He was truly accepted and could not think of anything better than having this tajiya as his.

Hiei and Sango made love for the rest of the night. At times slow and gentle, while others rough and needy. It seemed they could not get enough of each other. Their hunger for one another only seemed to increase. The more they fed their hunger the more they wanted. So it was they finally fell into an exhausted sleep in the wee hours in the morning.

****************
---Noon the next day---

“So monk, what do think is taking them so long,” Higaro inquired.

“Well my dear man it seems about time some one had `the talk' with you.” Miroku said in a serious tone of voice. “Well you see when a man and woman are in love…”

WHACK!!!!!

“Ouch!!” Miroku said while rubbing the back of his head

“I know about that you lecherous monk.” Higaro said exasperatedly.

“I'll have you know I am but a humble servant of Buddha.” Miroku said in an innocent face.

“You know monk, you are sure scary. Can't believe you can con people with such an innocent face. If I didn't know any better I'd believe you.”

“What, what did I say wrong?”

“Nothing monk forget it.” Higaro said, then remembered something. “Hey monk what are you doing here anyways. You never did say.”

“Yes Miroku what are you doing here?” Asked Sango as she came walking into camp with Hiei right beside her.

“Oh that's right I never did tell you huh.” Miroku sighed and then proceeded. “I have come across some rumors about a village being attacked non-stop by demons looking for a mystical weapon. Now as you know anything mystical falling into the wrong hands may cause some serious trouble. So I came here to investigate. If something mystical weapon is here it needs to be protected.”

Sango sighed. “So have you found anything yet. Any clues as to where it may be?”

“Well after hearing the clues the only thing I can think of are those caves over there.”

“But houshi there is nothing there, We have been searching those caves and have yet to find anything.”

“Sango is right, we have yet to find anything in those passageways.” Hiei said.

“That may be, but I have a feeling that there is something in those caves. Why don't we have lunch and then look into the caves one more time. It is possible that maybe you need a new perspective.” Miroku said.

“Hn.”

“Sounds good to me.” Sango said.

“I'm in.” Higaro replied.

**********

--------at the caves---------

Miroku was now searching the passageways every so often murmuring a HMMMM. And rubbing his chin. After about 10-15 minutes of this Sango started getting annoyed.

“What is it Miroku, have you found anything yet.” Sango asked. Hiei and Higaro just leaning against the cavern looking on as Miruko kept alternately between walking, crawling, and jumping up and down.

“Well Sango if you look closely you will be able to make out some small patterns. I can't see them clearly for they are too small for my eyes. Maybe if Higaro or Hiei would come and explain what these patterns are I may have a clearer idea of what to do next.”

To say the two demons were shocked was an understatement. A human was able to detect what two demons were not. And to top it off it was something that could only be seen clearly by demon sight. The two demons came off the wall and went over to Miroku to inspect the patterns that the monk had found. The monk didn't know it yet but he was starting to earn the respect of these two demons. Which was not an easy task in itself. Especially with the fire apparition. Seeing as he would father skin the Monk alive than have his help. But as long as he keep his hands off of his mate he could tolerate him. For now that is.

The two demons looked at the patterns that the monk was pointing to. The patterns appeared to have five arrows going around in a circle with the fifth arrow pointing in a direction outside of the circle. As they followed the direction of the arrow they came across another pattern that was the same only the fifth arrow pointed in another direction.

“The patterns seem to be pointing towards somewhere.” Higaro said.

“Hn.” Hiei agreed.

Hiei and Higaro started to follow the arrows with Sango and Miroku right behind them. They soon came upon a room with a strange barrier on it. Hiei and Higaro tried first to go through but they were repelled and sent crashing into a wall.

“Hiei!” Sango cried out as she went to go check on him. Finding him only uncounscious but still very much alive she let out a sigh of relief. She then got up and went to examine the barrier.

“What do you think Miroku. Is there any way through it?” Sango asked.

“HMM. I wonder if it would repell us the same way.” Miroku said and then just simply walked through the barrier as if it wasn't there.

“Wait Miroku” Sango said as she followed him in. “Huh. What.”

“Just as I thought the barrier was made to keep demons out.”

Miroku and Sango looked around the room. There in the middle was a long case with light shining upon it. As they got closer they saw a sword and a staff. The sword was pure black with a sliver dragon that appeared to just float around the blade. The staff was very much like Miroku's gold one only the staff was silver. The chains at the top were also silver, except it had a black dragon imprinted on each chain. As Sango and Miroku reached out to touch the case, a bright light exploded and surrounded them both.

Before they knew what happened a beautiful woman suddenly appeared before them. Her features where difficult to make out. She was tall and slender and was dressed in a flowing dress made of pure white. And seemed to be radiated in light.

“I have been waiting a long time for you.” The woman said.

“Who are you?” Sango asked.

“My dear Sango I am the Guardian of Time, and I have a task for both you and Miroku to accomplish.”

“What is this task my Lady, and why us.” Miroku asked seriously. For once not acting like his lecherous self.

“As I said I am the Guardian of Time and please listen without interrupting me. I have a task for you both to accomplish. The reason that I chose you to for this task is because you have a very dear friend who will need your help in the battle to come. This battle is a fierce battle against a great evil. An evil greater and much stronger than Nuraku. This person is the key instrument to the destruction of this evil, for you will be battling pure evil and evil that pure can only be defeated by a force of good. This source is pureness in human form. She will have great need of you in the future. Since I am the Guardian of Time I will lengthen your life span. You both will cease to age until you are in her time. Once you have been reunited with her your time span will go back to normal. Well for you Miroku it will, but for Sango, since she has mated with a demon, you life span will be that of your mate. As for now you and your mate will share the life span I have gifted you.”

“My Lady is this person you are speaking of, is she..??” Sango asked eagerly.

“Yes Sango, this person is Kagome. Higurashi Kagome. Your friend and sister of your heart. You and she will be reunited in 500 years. Beware for her it will as if she has just left you. You and Miroku will need to train her. Sango you will train her in the style of the tajiya's. Teach her how to fight hand-to-hand combat as well as in different weapons. Miroku you will teach her how to focus her spiritual energy. She must learn how to control them. You will not have long before this battle is to be fought. You will also make new allies in that time. They will be of great help to you. Do not let your pride blind you. BOTH of you.”

The woman turned to Sango and in her hands was the sword. “Sango this sword has many special abilities. One of them is that no one other than you may wield it without your permission. Only you or whoever has your permission to wield it may touch it. This sword carries the spirit of a dragon. The dragon is a sentient being and will be able to communicate with you. It will become your companion. Much as you feline friend has. Name him and he will guide you to the other abilities of this sword as you become stronger.” And handed Sango the sword.

She then turned to Miroku. “Miroku this staff, much like the sword, has many different abilities. Same as with the sword, no one may touch it nor wield it without your permission. This staff also has a dragon spirit. This dragon will also become your companion and help protect you. Name him and he will guide you in your other abilities. You two are much stronger than you believe yourselves to be. These weapons will NOT increase your strength or give you more power. They will guide you to FIND the POWER and STRENGTH that is already inside of you. If you did not have the power or the strength, then these weapons would not have found themselves to you.”

She then turned back to the case and came back with three necklaces. On one necklace was a pendant of a silver dragon holding a red rose in its claws, on the other was a pendant of a black dragon holding a blue gem in the shape of a tear, and on the last was a pendent that held both the sliver dragon with the rose and the black dragon. “These necklaces are for Kagome in her time.” She said, giving Sango the necklace with held both the silver dragon and the black dragon. “This necklace is the one that Kagome will keep. While the other two are for her to chose. Sango, you will give this necklace to Kagome. This will help her and protect her.”

The Guardian then turned to Miroku. “Miroku you will give Kagome these two necklaces. These are for her chosen mates.”

“Mates? My Lady, as in more than one?” Miroku asked confused? (Not thinking lecherous thoughts as of yet)

“Yes Miroku. Because of the evil Kagome will face, she will need strong protectors. Fate has decreed that she is to have two mates. It is not common, but it is done. Kagome will know in time who is to wear these necklaces. Once she had give the necklaces to her mates the bond between all three will be completed. One will not be able to be without the other.”

The Guardian then turned to leave, then turned back facing Sango. “Sango my dear, you will face a great hardship in your future. Please enjoy what time you have with your mate. I wish I could spare you the pain you will feel. But know this, if for some reason you and your mate `ever' become separated, you will find each other. Do not despair. If things go the way it should, you will know happiness in the end. The same goes for you Monk. Unfortunately your soul mate is not of this time, but you will meet her in Kagome's time. Just please don't ask her to bear your children when you first meet. You might find yourself incapable of bearing children.” She then sighed, “Good luck to you both and take care. I must now take my leave.” And thus simply disappeared leaving a stunned Sango and Miroku.

*******
Sango and Miroku soon parted after that, and Sango and Hiei, along with Higaro spent time together roaming the countryside. Sango and Hiei spent over a century together. They never thought that they could be so happy. She had eventually told Hiei everything that happened in the caves that day. Hiei was just happy knowing that Sango would forever be with him.

One afternoon they were resting in a field after sparing. Slightly sweaty and tired.

“Hiei?”

“Yes Sango”

“Will you please promise me something?”

“Anything”

“Promise that no matter what happens, you will never intentionally harm innocent humans and or demons?”

“Sango what brought this on?” Hiei asked gently. Looking at Sango.

“I just have this bad feeling.” Sango replied. “Please promise me, oh and promise to never forget me?” She said with a hint of tears in her eyes.

Not wanting to see such sadness in her eyes Hiei responds.

“I, Hiei, Mate to Sango, Promise not to ever forget you or ever intentionally harm innocent humans or demons.” He promised solemnly.

“Thank you Hiei.” Sango says and gives him a big hug. When all of a sudden the earth starts shaking.

“Hiei what's going on?” Sango asks. Then she was roughly separated from Hiei by some unseen force.

“Sango!!!!!!!!” Hiei screams. Desperately trying to get to her only to be caught up in something.

“Hiei!!!!!!!!!” Sango screams as she sees him disappear right in front of her eyes into some unknown barrier.

Then the earth righted itself. But Sango could not see any sign of Hiei. He was no where to be found. Not only that, but she could no longer sense any demons.

“HIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!” She screams as she collapses onto the earth sobbing in anguish and pain……..

********

~fifty years later~

Sango still mourns her loss, but knows that wherever Hiei is, he is still alive. Her mark would have disappeared upon his death, but since it is still there she has hope. Hope that she will one day see Hiei again. She now travels with the perverted monk. They had crossed passed fifteen years ago and have been together ever since. They now see each other as siblings and the monk no longer gropes Sango, but does still grope other women.

Knowing that they must stay strong, Sango and Miroku train each other and often go on jobs that require a lot of fighting. Once in a while they come across a stray demon and exterminate it, but that is only because they first proved themselves as evil first. It seems the only demons they run into are weak.

One day they come across a blue haired girl being attacked by a rough band of thieves. Sango and Miroku saved her, well Sango did most of the work seeing as how Miroku was to busy trying to score with the lady.

“Thank you so much. My name is Botan. How can I ever repay you?” The blue haired girl replied.

“My dear lay would you do me the honor of bearing….”

Whack!!!!!!!!! X 2

THUD!!!!!

An unconscious Miroku is now lying on the floor. Sango was now putting up her Hiratsu while Botan was dropping a large stick to the ground. Miroku got a double hit. (OUCH!! Must've hurt)

“Please excuse the pervert, he has a hard time restraining himself.” Sango said. “By the way, nice hit.”

“Uh, he he he. Thanks. As I was saying, my name is Botan.” And promptly took her hand out for a handshake.

While shaking her hand. “My name's Sango, and the pervert on the floor is Miroku.”

“YOUR Sango!!!!!!!!” the blue haired girl screamed. “Wait HE'S MIROKU!!!!! Oh I am in so much trouble. I was not suppose to injure monk. Was only suppose to get you two and take you to Lord Koenma. Not incapacitate the Monk. He he he. Um Sango do you think we can um you know not say anything about abusing the Monk.” Botan looked hopefully at Sango.

“Uh sure” Sango said confused. “But what are you talking about.”

“Um well you see I was suppose to find you two and take you to my boss's office. You see my boss has a few questions for you.” Botan said

“What kind of questions and who's your boss.”

“Well that's the tricky part you see Lord Koenma is the prince of Spirit World.” Botan said.

“What's Spirit World.” Sango said.

“Damn. Sango did you have to hit so hard. That hurt.” Miroku said with a pout on his face.

“OH! Hi your awake good. Sorry about hitting you. Please please please please please please please don't tell my boss I hit you.” Botan begged.

Miroku looking at her pleading face agreed. “Okay but who's your boss.”

“As I was saying my boss is Lord Koenma the prince of Spirit World.”

“uh okay. what's spirit world?” Miroku asked confused.

“Oh that's where your souls go when you die.” Botan said airily

“What!!!” Miroku and Sango at the same time.

“Oh I'm not taking you there because your dieing or anything. I'm taking you for a job offering. Lord Koenma needs help and well he wants to enlist your services.”

“uh okay” Sango said. “Uh Miroku what do you think.”

“I don't know Sango, It's not as if we don't have the time?” Miroku said. Then thought about something Botan said. `Job Offering, I wonder what her job is' “Uh Botan what exactly is your job?”

“Oh I'm the Grim Reaper.” Botan said cheerily.

“WWHHHAAAAAAATTTTTTT!!!!!!” Sango and Miroku yelled again.

Botan started unplugging her ears with her fingers. “Why does everyone yell when I tell them that?” She then opened a portal. “Well are you coming or not?” and went in.

“Oh well, might as get this over with. Ladies first.” Miroku said with a smirk.

Sango just pushed him in and went inside after him.
