The cool night wind played through her brown hair as she smiled to herself. Another peaceful quiet night was upon the village of demon slayers. Her brown eyes illuminated as she gazed at the moon. `A walk wouldn't do any harm on a night so beautiful.'

Silver blurred through the shadows as the silver kitsune's ears twitched due to noise down below on the road. Golden eyes peered from the shadows with interest as a young beauty with stunning brown eyes and long brown hair walked with a lazy yet graceful stride. The wind picked up, blowing into Yoko's direction as he caught a hold of the sweet scent of the woman below. A silver tail swayed in admiration at a prize worth stealing. His partner Kuronue arched an eyebrow at him from the branch of a neighboring tree, making Yoko smirk in response. Looking down at what clearly has caught his best friend's interest, Kuronue only chuckled. Leave it up to Yoko to be looking for women when they suppose to be infiltrating the demon slayer village for any valuables.

Sango continued down the path until she made it to the dead end of which she had to venture through the surrounding forest to make it to her little getaway. After a short journey through the numerous trees, she was at the lake surrounded by various types of plants and extravagant flowers. Walking up to the lake, she couldn't help but smile at the beauty of the moon reflecting off of the waters surface. Taking off her sandals, she sat down by the waterside and put her feet in, causing a rippling effect. Little did she know, there were two pairs of eyes, watching her from afar.

From the shadows, Yoko still observed the woman who caught his eye. Weird, he doesn't usually take an interest in humans. However, this one was alluring. What he wouldn't give to have her name.

“Yoko, we couldn't infiltrate the village… There are wards up,” stated Yomi as he walked through the trees with several others—Yoko's bandits. This only earned a glare from Yoko.

“Can't you see that I'm busy? Go back to the hideout… I will be there shortly,” Yoko dismissed them as he looked back over only to find his maiden gone. Yomi and the others ran, clearly puzzled as to why their boss is acting this way. Sighing, Yoko turned and began to leave with Kuronue beside him when a female's voice stopped him.

“Who are you and what are you doing here?” A voice sneered from behind him. Yoko turned only to meet the gaze of the woman he was following. `Fascinating, who would've known she could be anymore beautiful up close,' thought Yoko as a smirk graced his features.

“Yoko Kurama, and this is my partner, Kuronue. We were just passing through.” Kuronue just quirked his eyebrow again at Yoko, surprised that he would give such an explanation, considering that he answers to no one. What shocked him more was that Yoko grabbed her hand and laid a kiss on her knuckles…very polite for the spirit fox. Blood rush to Sango's face, causing her to blush. However, this also made her mad at the same time. A slap echoed through the night, which resulted in a red hand mark on a stunned Yoko and a panting Sango. No one, especially a woman has ever dared to strike him, and oddly enough, he wasn't mad—just amused.

“Don't try to get fresh with me! Keep your hands and lips to yourself!” yelled an infuriated Sango. Yoko only smirked and by this time Kuronue was picking his mouth up off the ground.

“Now, now, little kitten, that wasn't very nice,” Yoko teased. “We were only passing through.”

“Kitten…?!” Sango nearly hissed. “How dare you, demon! If you know what's good for you, you'd better leave!” She didn't know why, but this guy's smug demeanor really got under her skin. If he was smart he would leave before she began attacking.

“Well, if you would be so kind as to give me your name… maybe I wouldn't have to call you kitten, kitten,” Yoko said. How cute it was to see the young maiden bristle at his comment.

“Call me kitten one more time—I dare you,” growled Sango. The damn youkai had the nerve to tease her! And those stupid, gold eyes were laughing at her! Why did she even waste her time with these low lives, anyways? Sango clenched her teeth. Of all the rotten luck…! She didn't have her Hiraikotsu, sword, or anything. How she wouldn't give to skin the fox in front of her alive. Sango was interrupted from her thoughts with a hand waving in front of her face.

“Hello, your name please,” prompted Yoko.

“That's none of your business.”

“Sango! Sango! Where are you?!” yelled a child's voice. It increased in volume as it came closer.

“Coming!” replied Sango, knowing exactly who was calling. She glared and pushed past the two demons in front of her. Yoko watched the young woman walked away, clearly pissed.

“Sangowhat a pretty name,” Yoko said mainly to himself.

“That one is quite fiery,” stated Kuronue.

“I'd like to know more about this fiery coral.” His friend and partner merely shook his head. And that's all the more reason to like her, Kuronue, all the more reason We shall meet again, my dear Sango,” Yoko said as he disappeared into the night; Kuronue was not too far behind.
