Ch:2 ~ Not to Late to Understand…

 

 

Kimi sat on her bed… her small cousin staring up at her with big brown eyes… “Cousin.. why you feel so sad?”

 

Kimi sighed sadly… “because… I've lost everything Saku… you wouldn't understand.. you are to young..” she turned her head away as she pulled her legs up to her chest… her thoughts drifting to when her aunt came and got her…

 

~Flashback~

 

Kimi sat outside in the rain.. preferring not to be inside her house… or what had been her house…

 

It was to painful…

 

And.. the whole house still reeked of her mothers perfume… “Design”

 

She let more tears slip down her face to mix with the pouring rain… her hair hanging around her small form… clinging to her every curve..

 

She didn't even look up as her aunt walked up to her.

 

“Oh my Gods.. Kimi!.. what happened… where is Kagome?” she asked looking around

 

Kimi didn't move… the only sign that she was even alive was her eyes… staring out into nothing… her tears giving her away..

 

“Dead…”

 

Lita clamped her hand over her mouth… “ but… Kimi.. how?” she asked.. her eyes starting to blur..

 

Kimi turned her face upwards as she finally closed her eyes.. the cool water splashing against her pale skin… “Demons… I couldn't save her… I couldn't”

 

Lita silently moved forward at this… resting her hand gently on Kimi's shoulder she embraced her.. “its not your fault…. Nothing is… and your mother would never blame you..”

 

Kimi sobbed into her aunts wet body… “ im so sorry.. but I didn't have anywhere else to turn… I.. I am….. so.. sooorryyy”

 

Lita stood up pulling her niece with her.. “don't be silly.. we are family… and I love you… your coming with me..”

 

Without another word Lita walked Kimi back down the shrine steps and down to the front of the steps.. where her car was waiting…Lita opened the back door.. and helped Kimi into the car before slowly closing the door…

 

A small boy in the front seat looked back as his mother opened her door… “ Mommy.. whats wrong with cousin?”

 

Lita looked sadly at her son.. then ruffling his hair she started the car… “ she lost her mommy” she said slowly.. as she pulled away from the shrine..

 

He looked back at his cousin.. laying there not moving.. he reached his small hand down and unbuckled his seat belt..

 

He climbed over the seats and scooted up close to his cousin not caring that she was soaked.. “Im sorry Kimi…I still love you” he whispered as he wrapped his small arms around her..

 

Kimi let more tears spill out as she returned the small embrace… “ I love you to Saku”

 

~ end flashback~

 

Saku glared up at her..” I do so understand… I almost died… I know..!”

 

Kimi looked down at him..” its not nice to lie like that…” she sighed..

 

“IM NOT LIEING!” he yelled hurt at her accusations…. “ I did… I was playing with my ball.. and it went in the road.. and I almost gots raned over… I did!... a boy saved me… that was a year ago!...” he defied

 

Kimi stared at him in shock.. “what?.. really?.. you did?... o my god… Saku im sorry.. I didn't know” she leaned forward picking him up… cradling him to her chest…

Saku jumped around impatiently.. “ Kimi.. when are you gonna be ready.. you said you take me to the mall!”

 

Kimi walked out of the bathroom.. she had lived with her cousin for about a month now.. and she had only just found out about him almost being killed a week ago… she felt horrible.. so she said that she would take him to the mall…

 

“Im coming.. ok.. im ready” she grabbed his small hand.. pulling him out of the door and down the street..

 

Saku looked up at her. “ why don't we look the same cousin?”

 

Kimi smiled at him sweetly.. “ cause you look like my mom and her brother.. your father.. I look like my dad..” she stated as they got on the bus…

 

They were about to take a seat when they heard a guys voice call out..

 

“Hey Saku.. little man!”

 

Kimi turned to see her cousins eyes light up… as he dropped her hand and ran over to a group of three boys sitting in the far back..

 

She looked at them skeptically… it seemed her cousin knew them.. she walked back.. following her cousin..

 

Saku jumped up into the arms of the boy in the middle.. with gelled back black hair..

 

“Yusuke!!... I haven't seen you in forevers!!!” he yelled..

 

Yusuke and his two friend chuckled..

 

Thej Yusuke looked up and saw a girl standing in front of them… he raised an eyebrow.. “ whos this?” he smirked.

Kimi cried as she sat in her room.. slowly.. her thoughts making sense.. it wasn't to late to understand.. for her.. or anyone else.

 

A/N: I know its short.. but it was just to give a bit more info.. it will start to get good real soon.. im not sure yet really about the pairing…… im still thinking on it.. now plz.. plz.. review!
