Angel looked at Chrystal in awe. No one had ever managed to find her when she hid herself in her cave.
"Why are you here, ningen?" Angel growled as she snapped out of her trance.
"I am not a ningen anymore, youkai," Chrystal replied.
"Fine, hanyou, why are you disrupting my thoughts?"
"I have a job for you..."

"C'mon! Just a peak?" Kagome begged.
InuYasha stood before the begging miko with a smile on his face.
"No," InuYasha smirked.
"Oh InuYasha..." Kagome said in a sing song voice.
"Crap," InuYasha said as he winced in expectance.
"SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kagome yelled.
InuYasha stared up at Kagome from the crater he was now in.
"Stay there until I get back from school."
Miroku, Sango, and Shippo laughed.
"KAGOME!" came a call from inside her house.
"COMING! Miroku, make sure he doesn't come out of there until I come home from school, please?"
Miroku nodded and Kagome raced into the house to answer her mother's call.
"Yes Mom," Kagome called.
"Come say hi to your cousin, Yusuke," her mother replied.
Kagome launched herself at Yusuke and pulled him into a giant hug. Her mother began laughing as she invited a group of people into the house.
"Who's that, Yusuke?" Keiko growled.
"Oh, I'm Kagome, his cousin. You must be his girlfriend, Keiko," Kagome laughed.
Keiko's mood softened quite a bit toward Kagome as the rest of her friends filed into the Higurashi houshold. A poppy-seed-red haired boy, a wild red haired boy, a woman with long blue hair, and a short man with black hair and white tips.
"Who are all these people?" Kagome asked.
"This is Kurama, Kazuma Kuwabara, Botan, and Hiei," Keiko said.
Kagome smiled at the boys and Botan, knowing that Hiei was a demon, Kurama had both a human soul and a youkai spirit, Kazuma was a spirit detective, Botan was a reaper, and that Yusuke was a hanyou. Keiko just happened to be along for the ride.

"Ok, now that we're out of earshot of Grandpa, why is it that Kurama has both a human soul and a demon spirit?"
There were stunned glances at Kagome as Kurama began to answer her question.
"Well, we'll chalk it down to an avodance of death," Kurama said.
It was then that a black haired demoness dropped from the sky, katana drawn.
"The fire demon is mine," hissed the red eyed woman.
"Angel," Hiei whispered.
He knew instantly what was going on.
"Leave! Now! She'll kill you all if you don't. Chrystal has her again. Just GO!" Hiei yelled before taking a submissive stance.
A portal opened and Angel prepared to go through before Kagome cried out and latched onto Hiei. The cursed demoness didn't seem to notice as she pulled the shocked fire demon and the angry miko though the whirling pink mists and into makai.

"What have you done to her now, Chrystal?"
"Ah, Hiei...so nice to see your scrawny forbidden ass again. How have you been lately? Getting along fine without my poor heartbroken sister, here, aren't you? We'll fix that," Chrystal laughed.
Angel began to fight against her curse, knowing what would come next; Chrystal would drive Hiei into heat again, and yet another game of cat and mouse would begin, which was what her possessed sister was aiming for, anyway. The real Angel broke to the surface in time to stop the assualt on Hiei before it even began.
"NO! You won't touch him, Chrystal. I don't love him. I never did..." Angel whispered the last part so low that Hiei barely caught it.
"You... never... loved me...." he whispered.
"I'm sorry Hiei. I wanted to see you happy, even if it was at my own expense," she replied before launching herself at her sister.
"GO! Leave before I loose it!"
Hiei was saddened at his deception, but angry that Angel wanted him to back out of a fight.
"No! I've ran from her for too long. You don't need to fight alone when you have friends that are quite willing to help you," Hiei growled.
"You can't kill her. She's only possessed!"
Hiei turned to the miko behind him.
"Can you help us?"
"I think I can," Kagome replied.
**BAM**
A flash of power lashed out, freezing everything but Kagome. In the place of Chrystal stood two seperate forms; a demon with kind, sad eyes, and a spiritfilled with mallace. Kagome drew an arrow into the bow string and aimed at the spirit. As the arrow hit it's mark, the world returned to real time.
"What happened?" Angel asked.
"Angel? Oh, my dearest Angel. I'm so sorry for what I've caused," Chrystal whispered.
"Don't be, it wasn't your fault."
Hiei smiled sadly before turning.
"Hiei?"
The fire demon returned his gaze to Angel.
"I'm sorry for hurting you. I only wanted you to be happy, even if I couldn't be. I promised your mother I'd see to that."
Hiei stared at the silver fox/shadow tiger mix in silence.
"You knew his mother?" Chrystal questioned.
"I'm only a couple hundred years older than you," Angel laughed.
"I'm still a more powerful fox," Chrystal stated flatly.
"I'm a more powerful person, though, than you could ever dream to be," Angel smirked.
"Can we go home now?" Hiei and Kagome asked in unison.
"Yes," Angel said.
