HI! This is my first fanfic. So…feel free to bash me all you want. Anyway, the main female characters in this are Kagome and my character Raven. Oh, and I don't own anything, but Raven.

BAD THINGS (hehe)
Kagome snuggled deeper in her sleeping bag. She let out a small sigh as Shippo curled himself in a ball on her stomach. Inu Yasha sat up in a tree directly above. She knew he wasn't asleep as she watched his ears twitch with every noise from the trees around them. Sango was in another sleeping bag across the fire from Kagome. She could barely make out the small ball of fur that had to be Kirara. Miroku dozed near a tree, no doubt waiting for the perfect moment to be the hentai he was.
Kagome chuckled to herself at the reaction her sister would have when she discovered the monk in the morning. She gave a small yawn before sleep claimed her.
The Dream
Kagome glanced around the dreamscape she was in. It seemed so real. Sensing something behind her, she came face to face with a young woman dressed in ancient miko garbs and armor. What an odd combination, Kagome thought to herself.
“Kagome,” the woman spoke.
“Midriko?” Kagome asked. The old miko nodded.
“I have come at your call, sister.” Midriko smiled.
“But I haven't called you. You must be mistaken.” Kagome said.
“No. You did not intentionally call me, but your soul did. I know you feel helpless at times, Kagome. I know you wish to help your friends in the battles that have yet to come. Am I not correct?”
“Yes, you are right. I asked Sango to teach me what she knew, but she can only do so much. I need someone who can teach me everything I need to know. I can't ask Inu Yasha, I don't…I don't think I can handle the insults.”
“Of course. So you wish for someone who can teach you everything your heart desires? Who will not insult you but train you at a pace you can handle since you do need your energy to continue your journey.”
“Its not just that, Midriko. I need a friend. Don't get me wrong, I have friends and I consider everyone in our group my friend. But I want a trainer who can understand me.”
“Someone, perhaps, from your own time?”
“Well, maybe. I don't know. I need someone to talk to. I talk to Sango but she doesn't understand sometimes and there are things I could never tell my Mother.”
“I understand, Kagome. Return home tomorrow. When you arrive back home, your trainer will find you.”
“But who will I know who they are?”
“Don't worry. The teacher I have in mind…is very…lets just say, full of surprises. You will know them because they will have three claw scars across their cheek.”
“Thank you, Midriko, for everything.”
“No, thank you, sister. You are the Guardian of the Shikon no Tama, you deserve the best that we are capable of.”
“We?”
“You will see. Until we meet again, sister.”
Kagome awoke with a start and sat up. The sun was just beginning to rise. Shippo grumbled some in his sleep while taking over the warm spot Kagome once occupied.
“That was one odd dream.” She mumbled to herself.
“Hey, wench, talking to yourself again?” Inu Yasha shouted from the tree. He leapt down and landed at the end of her sleeping bag. Kagome sighed. She knew he was going to raise hell when she told him she was going to have to go home.
“Inu Yasha, I have to go home today.” She said quietly while getting up to make breakfast for everyone.
“What?! Hell no, wench. You are not going anywhere. We have jewel shards to collect!” he yelled.
“Inu Yasha,” Kagome started getting angry, “Sit.” THUMP. “I need to go home. I haven't been home in a week. Besides, don't you want more ramen?” Inu Yasha grumbled from his spot in the dirt. Kagome took that as a yes and continued to make breakfast.
“HENTAI!!!” CRACK. Ah, yes. Sango is awake. Sango came over to the fire with Kagome grumbled about perverted monks. Kagome glanced up to see Miroku sprawled on the ground with a very content smirk on his face. She shook her head while smiling to herself. Some things never change.
“Are you returning home today, Kagome?” Sango asked while she helped her with breakfast.
“Yeah, there are some things I need to…uh…tend to. I will be back as soon as I can.” She gave Sango one of those Wait-Til-We're-Alone-You're-Not-Going-To-Believe-This looks. Sango smiled and nodded.
Once everyone was fed and awake, Kagome grabbed her yellow bag and heading to the well. It was time to meet her new teacher.
