A/N: Um…Let me clear this up before you ask. There 4 main lands then it divide up into regions in the center of the 4, and lands out of Japan. And Ages:

Kikyo: 6 at the beginning…

Hiei and Yukina: 8

Youko & Sesshomaru: 15

The Second Princess Heir…

Lord Higurashi smiled down at his second child. Her brilliant blue eyes looked at him tiredly as she yawned then smiled. Her eyes showed innocence and purity which no one would want to harm but the evilest of demons. "Kagome…you shall be named Kagome." Lord Higurashi spoke. A little girl with brown eyes looked at her father with a blank stare. "Kikyo, look at your new sister." Kikyo looked down at her sister as her father knelt down. Kikyo narrowed her eyes when she saw Kagome. Her eyes suddenly became cold and distant. She will steal my father from me. She will steal my mother and all the attention from me! The young girl thought about her newly born sister.

"Father, why did you have another child? Were you not satisfied with me?" Kikyo asked. Lord Higurashi looked at his daughter with surprise. She hates her sister? But why?

"Lord Higurashi, Lady Mika would like to see her daughter." The mid-wife said. Lord Higurashi nodded and got up walking into the room with his new daughter, Kagome Higurashi.

Two years later, all the lords of the regions and the 4 demons lords of the lands came to the Higurashi castle. They were there to see Kagome. Kikyo was now 6 years old and very hateful and loathsome toward her younger sister. Lord Higurashi and Lady Mika bowed to the 4 demon lords their ladies as they came to bless Kagome.

"Higurashi, your second child holds immense innocence and purity in her being, for that we of the East bless her." Lord Raizen spoke. Lady Atsuko smiled as her son, Yusuke, walked to the bed and looked at the young girl inside of it. He poked her and heard her giggle.

"We sense that she will have great courage and bravery, for this we give the blessings from the West." Lord Inutaisho said with his human mate Lady Ryoko by his side. Both of their sons, the 15 year old Sesshomaru and the 6 year old Inuyasha walked to the carriage and looked at Kagome. The young princess smiled and pointed at Inuyasha.

"Wears, Wears!" She giggled and tried to reach up to touch the twitching appendages. The adults smiled.

"We, of the Northern lands, shall bless her for the sake of being intelligent and quick thinking." Lord Suiichi (This is Youko's father!) said. Lady Shiori smiled as the young princess. Their son Youko Kurama stepped forward and smiled at the young girl. He allowed the young Kagome to play with his tail.

"The Southern Lands shall bless her for the sake of being alive and in hope that she will cherish it." Lady Hina of the South spoke. Her husband was killed two years ago, so she was in control of the lands now. Her son, Hiei, and her daughter, Yukina, walked to the carriage and looked at the young girl.

"Arigato, let us feast!" Lord Higurashi spoke.

The children already had diner and stayed with the young Kagome. Youko smiled as he let the young girl play with his tail. "Wail!" She giggled as the tail tickled her noise.

"She's adorable…" Yukina giggled as she watched the young princess.

"Hn…" Hiei ignored the princess and look at the adults.

"The adults said we could play with her…" Inuyasha murmured as his ears twitched. "Want to take her out of the carriage?"

"Sure," Yusuke said and picked up the young princess who giggled. He set her on the ground and smiled. "She's kinda cute."

"She is the second child of Higurashi, but…there's so much innocence in her eyes." Sesshomaru said quietly.

"Hai, there is." Youko said as he watched Lady Kagome crawl from his tail toward Hiei. "Seems Hiei has a friend," Hiei glared at Youko Kurama and then at the young princess. She stopped and started to get teary eyed at the demon.

"Wate meh?" She asked stuttering slightly. Yukina picked up the young princess and looked at her brother.

"Hiei say sorry." She demanded from her brother.

"I will not apologize to ningen." Hiei said as he turned his back on them. Yusuke and Inuyasha laughed as Kagome tried to glare at the spiky haired prince.

"Hey brat, that is no way to look at Prince Hiei." Kikyo said as she glared hatefully at her sister. Her sister looked at her and stuck her tongue out. "You insolent brat!" Kikyo took a step forward toward her sister.

"Princess Kikyo, that is awfully rude to say to your own sister." Youko spoke, as Yukina stepped toward her brother unconsciously holding the young princess closer to her. So I'm not the only one feeling it apparently. Youko walked toward Yukina and Princess Kagome. "Yukina-chan, would you like to join me in the gardens with Kagome?"

"Hai, I would love that. How about you Princess Kagome?" The child nodded and giggled. Kikyo glared as Yukina and Youko walked to the adults to tell them.

"I don't understand why everyone cherishes her so much." Kikyo said. Yusuke looked at Kikyo and laughed.

"Maybe because you are so ugly Kikyo," Yusuke laughed and ran after Youko and Yukina. Sesshomaru shook his head as he watched his brother try to soothe Kikyo. Hiei had long disappeared to watch over his sister. Sesshomaru kept his mask of indifference up as he too went out to gardens to watch the new princess.

~~~Few years later…

Princess Kagome yawned as walked around the castle. She was now 14 years old and very smart and well trained in her abilities as a miko. She glanced at her young retainer Kaede, she was only 25, and she was a Kagome's retainer. Must be because she is a miko and very wise. Kagome thought as she was escorted to ballroom. Today was Kagome's birthday, she was turning 15. Unfortunately, Kikyo was had turned 19 recently, which means if her parents died, Kikyo would get the throne.

"Lady Kagome, have you learned the dance that is required?" Kaede asked. Kagome sighed and nodded. Where is Souta when I need him? Kagome thought. Souta was her 11 year old brother that her dad had with another woman named, Kun-loon. Kikyo would pick on Souta a lot and call him a son of a whore. Kagome protected her brother as best as she could. She even assigned a servant to protect him. The servant was stupid, but he would protect Souta with his life if need be. His name was Kuwabara.

"Kagome…" Lady Mika called as she entered the room. Kaede bowed to the Queen as did Kagome. "Are you prepared for tonight?"

"Hai mother! May I ask who will be here?" Kagome prompted as she looked at her mother.

"Well," Lady Mika put her finger to her chin in thought. "Your father told me that demons lords and ladies will be coming with their children. Also, I was told that your cousin couldn't make it. Oh and the demon exterminators will be coming with some of the other lords of the central regions." Mika said. Kagome frowned and nodded to her mother.

"May I go to the gardens for a while, before I prepare for this evening?" Kagome asked.

"Of course!" Mika smiled as her daughter and Kaede walked toward the gardens. She could remember it like yesterday that her daughter was just born. She sighed and went to go find her husband.

In the gardens, Kagome saw Souta and Kuwabara playing tag. Kagome giggled and walked to the fountain that was off to the side. She sighed and picked a rose from near by rose bush. It was white with lavender tips. It only grew in her father's domain. She looked at Kaede, who was still standing in front of her.

"Come sit Kaede," Kagome said in a friendly way.

"Iie, I must keep an attentive eye out for trouble Lady Kagome." Kaede spoke as she glanced at Souta and Kuwabara. Kagome sighed and looked at the beautiful flower.

"Kirei…" She whispered and slumped slightly. Unlike me… She sighed and dropped the rose into the fountain and stood up. "Kaede, tell Kuwabara to prepare Souta for the ceremony. I will be at in my room." Kagome said as she walked away. Kaede nodded and walked toward the two children.

That evening Kagome sat in front of her vanity staring at her reflection as Kaede decorated her hair with freesia. She was dress in a beautiful white kimono with a light pink obi. On the kimono were two silver wings with light pink cherry blossoms around them. She slipped her slippers on after Kaede was done and sighed. I am still young, but I act as though I was 16. Kagome thought as Kaede escorted her to the grand stair case. She waited behind the curtain like instructed as the Lords and Ladies of the lands were introduced.

"From the Eastern lands…Lord Raizen, Lady Atsuko, and their son Yusuke." They family walked in. The adults went to their seat as the 20 year old Yusuke went off to the side to wait for the others.

"From the Western Lands, Lord Sesshomaru and his brother Inuyasha," Sesshomaru took his place at the main table as Inuyasha went to Yusuke. Lord Inutaisho and Lady Ryoko had died in a demon attack on the palace. Only Inuyasha and Sesshomaru survived. Sesshomaru was now 28 and Inuyasha was 19.

"From the Northern Lands, Lady Shiori and her son Youko Kurama," Like Sesshomaru, Youko was 28. His dad was assassinated by his bodyguard, which in turn Youko killed. Youko has led his mother to her seat before going over to Yusuke.

"And from the Southern Lands, Lady Hina and your children, Hiei and Yukina," Yukina smiled and walked over to the other with Hiei right behind her. Both were 21 and were eligible to lead their kingdom where their mother died. Yukina smiled at Youko, Yusuke, and Inuyasha.

"Do you think Kagome has grown up a lot?" Yukina asked. "I mean she is turning 15 today."

"I'm sure she has grown up into a lovely young lady Yukina." Youko spoke. Hiei looked indifferent at this whole discussion. The girl was not attached to him like when they were younger…thank god.

"I just hope Kagome doesn't look like Kikyo. Or smell like in that matter." Yusuke said as Inuyasha growled at him.

"Kikyo is way more beautiful that Kagome!" He argued.

"Silence you two, here they come." Youko commanded as the Higurashi family came.

"Presenting Lord Higurashi and his wife Lady Mika, with their eldest daughter Lady Kikyo," The announcer said as the three came down the steps. They took their seats and turned toward the staircase again. "Now, I present the Lady Kagome and Prince Souta!" Kagome smiled as Souta squeezed her hand as they walked from behind the veil.

"You look nice Kago-chan." Souta whispered before they got to the platform.

"Arigato," Kagome murmured as they descended the stairs. Behind them were their servants and bodyguards Kaede and Kuwabara. Smiling down at her brother, she smirked as her brother saw her best friend and her brother. She let go of his hand and nodded. "Go play with Kohaku and Kirara." Souta smiled and walked off slowly before running to Sango and Kohaku. Kagome took her seat next to her mother and Lord Raizen. Raizen smiled at her and Kagome bowed her head.

"Whoa…" Yusuke said. Yukina chuckled at Yusuke.

"Better than Kikyo ne?" Yukina said as she went to join her mother at the table.

"Told you she was lovely…" Youko murmured as he too followed Yukina to the table. Hiei silently followed with Inuyasha and Yusuke behind him. That's the brat from a few years ago. She sure has changed. Hiei sat next to his sister, which was next to Kikyo and across from Kagome. He looked at Kagome, who gave a small smile to Hiei. He raised an eyebrow at the gesture.

Soon the food was served and the presents were to be giving. Youko smirked for he was behind Kagome when the announcement was made and heard her groaned.

"From the North, Lord Youko Kurama will present his gift." Kagome smiled as Youko stood before her. He reached into his white tunic and pulled out a small kitsune that was the size of Kirara. Kagome's eyes lighten up when she saw the animal.

"For you Lady Kagome, an ice wind kitsune from the north. He is similar to Kirara." Youko smiled as the kitsune jumped from his hand to Kagome's shoulder.

"Arigato Youko-kun!" She bowed politely then looked at the ice wind kitsune. "His name shall be Rikimaru!" (Same Rikimaru in Evanescence just new element) The kitsune was white with ice blue markings on his body and 5 tails. He nuzzled into Kagome's cheek which made her laugh. Everyone smiled at the sight, except a handful.

"For the West, Lord Sesshomaru will present his gift." The stoic lord walked up to Kagome. She bowed politely to the demon lord. He reached out his hands and opened it. A silver medallion with large dog engraved on it, was in his hand. He put it around Kagome's neck and looked at her.

"If you ever need entrance into my land, this will be proof that I personally allow it." Sesshomaru spoke emotionlessly. Kagome knew that he cared for her and bowed politely to him.

"From East, Lord Raizen and Lady Atsuko," Lady Atsuko held a bow made of obsidian. She passed it to Raizen who then turned to Kagome and held it out to her.

"This is a bow made of obsidian, we have enchanted it so it will never break. We give it to you, for your innocence we see that you will do great things." Raizen smiled as Kagome grabbed the bow proudly. She smiled and bowed.

"Arigato Lord Raizen," Kagome said as she passed the bow to Kaede to hold for her. Lady Hina walked up to Kagome as she was introduced. In her hands were a katana and a tessen (Metal Fan).

"I give these to you to protect yourself and the ones you love." Lady Hina said and leaned down to Kagome and kissed her cheek. "You are always invited in my lands child…" She whispered then stood up.

"Arigato, everyone!" Kagome smiled and bowed. They bowed back and the party continued.

Later that night, Kagome had Kaede put everything in her room while she and Rikimaru went out to the gardens. Suddenly Sango came up to her and hugged her.

"Happy Birthday Kagome!" She smiled as her sister-like friend nodded.

"Arigato Sango, by the way you look marvelous!" Kagome spoke in a calm voice with a hint of excitement.

"Not as well as you do." Sango said. "Anyway, I wanted to say goodbye. Father and the rest of us have to get up early tomorrow for an extermination."

"Alright, send your father my regards." Kagome said as her friend ran off.

"Alright!" They waved to each other. Kagome sighed and walked to the fountain and watched as Rikimaru chased the fireflies. Not long after Souta came running out to Kagome. Kagome narrowed her eyes and stood as she saw his hair was disheveled.

"Souta did Kikyo…" She didn't finish as Kikyo calm walked out after Souta. The young boy hide behind his nicer sister as the other way came toward them. "What happened?" Kagome asked as she kept a stern façade on.

"That little brat made fun of me in front of everyone. He deserves to be punished!" Kikyo said as she tried to go around Kagome. The younger princess pushed Kikyo back and glared at her.

"You'll have to kill me first Kikyo…" Kagome stated clearly as she hid the boy from her view.

"Believe me…that can be arranged." Kikyo sneered at her sister. Kagome was about to give a retort when Youko and Yusuke stepped out with Yukina. "Another time sister…" Kikyo spat she turned and walked away. Kagome knelt down to Souta and fix his hair quickly.

"You alright?" She asked as the other came up behind her.

"Hai nee-chan…" He tried to look tough. Kagome giggled and saw Kaede at the garden entrance.

"Why not…I allow you to take Rikimaru and go play with Kaede." Souta nodded and looked down at the fox.

"Would you like to come with me Rikimaru?" The kitsune looked at his mistress questionable. She nodded to him and he yipped happily. Souta and Rikimaru ran off toward Kaede, who nodded to Kagome.

"What was that about?" Yusuke asked.

"Nothing," Kagome replied. "Are you guys leaving too?"

"Hai, mother and I must get back to the kingdom quickly." Kagome hugged Youko.

"Alright, thanks for Rikimaru!"

"No problem, come to our lands anytime Kagome." With that Youko turned around to find his mother.

"Yeah, I gotta go to. Mom's drunk and dad doesn't want her to say too much." Yusuke saluted Kagome and walked off also. Kagome turned to Yukina.

"I'm going to miss you Kagome." Yukina and Kagome hugged. "We don't know if we can make it to the ceremony next year for your coming of age."

"It'll be alright, I grow bored with these repetitious gatherings for my birthday." Kagome giggled. Yukina laughed and nodded.

"Before I leave may I ask a question?" Kagome blinked but nodded. "Why are you not attached to my brother like you were when we were children? I noticed you gave him forced smiles and looks."

"Well, I've grown up for one." Yukina laughed. "And I learned things are better not left out in the open." The ice apparition blinked as Kagome smiled. So she still is attached to Hiei…She thought as she gave Kagome one last hug before leaving too. Kagome sighed and sat on the fountain looked at the sky. Her eyes were an unusual color of dark blue as she watched the stars twinkle above her. She listened as everyone left the party and wasn't surprised when Sesshomaru or Inuyasha didn't come out to say goodbye. She sighed and looked down in the water. I've grown older, but my appearance hasn't changed. Kikyo is still the beautiful one despite what they say. I will never match her. Even with their blessings.

Next Chapter: (Everyone is just a year older!) Kagome gets a big surprise on her sweet sixteen. And it is not a good one. I can't tell you much or I'll spoil it. But I can tell you that Kikyo is an overbearing witch! And has become a Kuroi Miko (Dark Priestess). And with the help of the gifts the Lords and Ladies gave her Kagome saves what is left of her life. Can she do it? Will my cousin be safe? Next time on Real Emotion, The Sweet Disaster. What happens when everything you knew suddenly disappears?
