Chapter 2: Kagome....

The gang was walking through a dense forest. The forest was silent which was very suspious escpieally since there were two tribes at war in this region. They walked on so silently you'd think their feet never touched the ground.

Kurama held out his arm to stop the others progress.

“Do you sense that Inu?” he asked

“Yes, they're closing in. We should keep moving. It'll make it harder for them to surround us that way.” Inuyasha replied.

“Everyone get ready to fight.” Kurama advised.

Everyone tensed at his statement. Hiei drew his sword and moved to the rear of the group. Sango moved to the left and Yusuke to the right leaving Kuwabara, Mikrou, Kagome, Yukina, Botan and shippo in the center of the tight circle.

They moved about a foot further before Hiei was tackled to the ground. His opponet managed to wrestle his sword from his hands, but Hiei wasn't going down so easily with amazing speed he pinned his attacker, took one look at him and punched him in the face successfully knocking him out and breaking his nose. While Hiei and the others were fighting Kuwabara was trying his hardest to protect Yukina, Botan, Shippo, and Kagome.

“Botan where's you ore?” He asked fending off a very ugly demon with a mohawk.

“Right here, but what-”

“Put whoever you can on it and get them out of here! Now!”

“I'll stay I can help!”Kagome told Botan.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. Go!”

Botan Shippo and Yukina hopped on the ore and were off to the spirit world. Kagome pulled out her bow and arrow and aimed for the demon fighting Inuyasha. She hit her target perfectly. She then aimed for a demon on her right.

“Kagome behind you!” Kuwabara tried to warn her, but he was too late. The demon sunk his claws into her back and before pulling out her heart whispered in her ear “This is for killing my brother.”

Inuyasha turned just in time to watch his love die. “Kagome....”

“Inu! Let's go! We can't stay!” Kurama grabbed Inuyasha's arm dragging him to his feet since at some point he dropped to his knees.

Sango picked up Kagome's lifeless body and took off in the direction of the portal leading to the Nigenkai.

AN HOUR LATER...

“So you can't bring her back like you did me?” Yusukes asked Koenma.

“Yes. I'm sorry but her soul has moved on already.”

“Well we should give her a proper burial.”Mikoru suggested.

“We can burry her behind the temple.” Genkai said.

They cleaned the bllod off her body, put her in a white kimno with pink flowers, made a wooden coffin laid her in it, and laid it in the ground. Everyone dressed up and said a prayer for her. No one could eat that night. Inuyasha as expected took it the hardest. No one could cheer him up.

“This is where you'll be staying. Tomorrow i'll go and get the herb for the cure. You will not lose your brother also. I promise you that.” Kurama said before disappearing to his room.

THE NEXT DAY....

“You went back there by yourself?! You could have been killed! For someone so smart your stupid, Kurama.” Yusuke yelled when kurama showed up all bloody and bruised, but with the herb in hand.

“I can't talk I have to finish this cure and take it to Sesshomaru.” Kuram said walking passed Yusuke and the others.

“Fine be that way! I was only worried about your well being!”

Kurama didn't even hear him.
