After Kagome was done, she walked over to the raven haired boy. She wanted to know who he was. She wanted to get to know him. Could he be the one to mend her broken heart? All her thoughts came to a stop when she saw him get up and walk about five steps over to her. She knew he wasn't meaning to sound like it, but he did. His voice, so seductive.
"Hey. My name is Yusuke Urameshi. What's your name?" He prayed to all gods that she would answer. Even though he already knew her name, he wanted to hear her say it. He wanted to hear her sweet voice again.
“My name is Kagome Higurashi...” Kagome replied.

He silently thanked the gods.
"I couldn't help but notice you got a really good voice." A light blush started to taint his cheeks. Her blush, however, did not go unnoticed.
"Thank you so much." She replied, her voice almost wavering, but she held strong. He had told her the exact same thing.
"Your welcome. I known this may sound lame, but will you sit with me? It seems you are all alone. And seeing that all these men in here had that look in there eye, a pretty lady such as you should not be alone." His cheeks getting a little redder with each word.

She didn't know weather to accept or not. She barely new this guy. Yet, here she was, deciding if she should accept or not. But seeing those looks the drunk men were giving her, she gladly accepted. Her face almost painted red.

"That would be wonderful. Thank you." With that said and done, Yusuke led her to his table, pulled out her chair, and pushed it back in when she sat down.

“Thank you.” She smiled.

“Your welcome.” He returned the smile.

She didn't know why, but she liked to see him smile.

Once they sat down, there blushes went away.

"So, Kagome, if you don't mind me calling you that, what do you think my odds are of going up there and singing?" He really wanted to go up there and show her that she was not alone.
"Yes you can call me that. I would probably say that your odds are very good. You look like the type of guy who has a good voice." Her smile widened.
"Thank you Kagome. I think I'm gonna go try it out. Just do me a favor and stay right here. I don't want people taking you away and doing something." `God, this sure is a stupid conversation.' Yusuke idly thought to himself. There eyes got caught up in each others for a brief moment.
"Ok." Hearing her name roll off his tong was like it was meant for that name only. She loved hearing it. She turned toward the stage as she heard his name being called. She was not ready for the gently yet, harsh words that he spoke.
“Sometimes, the people you love the most, either through your love away, die, or leave you to die. To wallow in your sorrow. They leave you broken hearted. Dead to the world. Miserable. To all of those out there that connects with that in anyway, here is something you should know. You are not alone in your problems. Believe it or not, there are people out there just like you. They're suffering every minute of their life.

There crying out tonight. Hoping that, somewhere, somehow, somebody is listening. Well, I'm listening to those cries. This song is dedicated to all of you people." He did not miss the saddened look Kagome gave him. How could he not? He was looking her in the eye while he said those words. Looking in her eyes, he found something that wasn't there before.

Hope. It was there before, but not as much. Now, her hazel eyes were flooded with hope. Like they were made for nothing but hope. His heart immediately softened when he smelt the faint smell of tears rising. He hated seeing girls cry. It's his weakness. When he looked into her eyes for that brief moment, he saw the worst thing a person could have in their eyes. He didn't ask. It wasn't any of his business. He saw sadness. Regret. Rejection. Loneliness. Deep loneliness. Sorrow. And pain. So he chose a song that would hopefully lighten her eyes. Not to make her cry. Looking her in the eyes he sang.

Don't use a weakness
Don't change the subject,
Don't ask the questions if you fear the answer
You look distorted
Lets make you clearer
Lets flip the switch and use the smoke and mirrors
Re-invent yourself today
Re-invent your world today

If it's one thing he has learned, it's that if something really bad happened to you, become stronger. Control your emotions. Don't let people hurt you. Don't let them walk all over you. In other words, reinvent yourself.

Crying out for the last time
Clear a space for the warning signs
Crying out for the last time
And there's no turning back now that you've opened up to your mind

If you want to cry out, cry out. But make sure it's for the last time. Make sure you are prepared for anything. There's no use in dwelling on the past.

What guides your vision?
What holds the balance
?
Don't think that I can't see you shake and tremble
Well I know your nervous this world is scary
You have to let go all the madness you carry
These words, was made specifically for Kagome. When he saw her up on stage, he saw her slightly staggering. Wavering. She was a nervous wreck. Her voice coaxed with fear. He saw her shake. Tremble. That was before she grabbed the microphone. She was scarred to the core. He wanted to know everything. What kept her going and much more.

Re-invent yourself today
Re-invent your world today

[CHORUS]

There is no turning back now
Everything you've ever wanted
Everything in this moment
There is no turning back now

[CHORUS (2)]

The audience erupted in claps and good comments. Kagome found herself doing the wolf whistle and clapping. She silently allowed two pain filled tears slip down her redden cheeks.

Yusuke took a low bow, grabbed the guitar, and once again spoke into the mike.

“Thank you! Well, since I like the reaction I got, I'm gonna do one more song then I have to leave. It's called Stranger Inside.” With those words, he sang.

This day could be the worst one yet
I just won't relax I can't catch my breath
Because I'm sick and tired of you'll be fine
Well how do you know, can you read minds
?

Everyday that Yusuke woke up, he woke up in fear. Fear of the only person left, Kayko, would leave him. Everyday, he woke up to the fear of telling her he's a half demon and she would reject him. When he woke up, he was always stiff. He never really could relax.

She always told him that he'll be just fine. How could she know? Just because he always cam back alive, sometimes barely, didn't mean that he couldn't come home dead. She didn't know half the danger he put himself in to save the human world. She didn't know the danger that he out himself in to protect her.

[Pre Chorus]
So take it while you can so you can meet demands
My insanity is what you thrive on
So rip it from my soul, so everyone will know in the end
We were never friends

He told her of what he was and what did he get? She took his soul, and ripped it out. When he told her, she wasn't the same. She wasn't the shy, bubble headed, calm, I'm - not-going-to-be-mean-to-my-friends person anymore. She told everybody around her what he was. Since the town's people have seen demons before, mainly from the demons running through the city, everybody believed her. Besides, who would like a half demon anyway? Neither accepted by humans, or demons.

So, when ever he had to go out and buy stuff, she was always there. Always making fun of him. Always pointing and laughing. On one particular day, which was actually today, she went too far. He almost punched her. But her geld himself. He would not lower himself to a thug.

[Chorus]
Have you ever felt lost inside so unloved within that you almost died
Have you ever stepped out of the light and realized there's a stranger inside

Don't push your ignorance on me
I'm not unrehearsed to your jealousy
And I know you think I don't see the signs
Well how do you know, do I look blind
?

[2nd Pre Chorus]
So take it while you can so you can meet demands
My breakdown is what you thrive on
So rip it from my soul so everyone will know in the end
I'm the break you're the bend

As he looked in the crowd, he caught a glimpse of blood red hair. Then, he caught a glimpse of orange.

`Kurama? Kuwabara? Is it really you?' Not wanting to be saddened anymore, he met with Kagome's eyes once again.

[Chorus]

[Bridge]

Stranger inside

[Chorus out]

“Thank you.” With a courteous bow, he put down the mic and left the stage.

The song pretty much explained it self. She was amazed at his voice. So seductive. She blushed once again when he sat down next to her again.
"Thank you." She said.
"No problem." He replied.
"You wouldn't happen to know what time it is do you?"
"It's 11:30. Why?" He was curious.
“It's just that I got to get home before it rains. That's all."
"Come on then. I'll walk you home. Besides, if you say it's gonna rain, then I don't want to be caught out in it." He smirked.
"You don't have to you know."
"It's alright." He grabbed her hand, laced his fingers with hers, and led them out of the club.
"So, where do you live?" He asked.
"In my apartment." She replied.
He inwardly smirked when he saw her cheeks get painted red.

The whole walk home was filled with glances to each other and blushes. Mainly on Kagome part.
