They had found a place to set up camp for the night. Most were asleep, those still awake were Sesshoumaru, Hiei, Kurama, Jade, and Kagome. Kagome was sitting on a large rock not to far from the camp. Kurama and Jade were sitting by the fire, Jade watching Hiei doing katas. Sesshoumaru was sitting up against a tree with Rin wrapped up by his side.

*I hate being confused. I am supposed to be in love with Inuyasha, but when I look at Kurama I get butterflies in my stomach. So do I like Inuyasha? Or do I like Kurama? Uhg. I hate being so confused!*

*She looks beautiful, like an angel. Inari, I have never felt like this before why now? Why her? She looks so alone and heartbroken over there. Maybe I can cheer her up.*

So Kurama goes wandering over to Kagome.
"Kagome, is something wrong, you looked so sad over here."
"No nothing is wrong, I am just confused about something, nothing big."
"Alright then, do you mind if I sit here with you? It is a wonderful spot with beautiful company."
"No I don't mind, you can sit."
So they just sat there for a few hours talking about things, many things.
"Kurama? Did you mean what you said earlier? About me being beautiful company?"
"Yes I did. Why?"
"Because I don't feel beautiful, not even pretty."
(Kurama grabs her chin and turns her face toward him) "Listen to me Kagome, you are very beautiful, both inside and out. Never let anyone tell you any differently. Besides, if I thought you would agree, I would ask you out."
(She says this so softly, he almost didn't hear it) "I would agree."
Kurama is startled by this revelation (as was Kagome about his).

*Inari she said she would go out with me. What do I do now? Oh I know.*

*I can't believe he said that. I can't believe I said that. Oh, I wish he would kiss me.*

Kurama, hoping she doesn't stop him, leans down to kiss her softly on the lips, lingering.

After the kiss, Kurama smiles at the blissful look on Kagome's face and lets her go. When he lets her go, she leans her head on his shoulder, and they just sit there quietly, looking at the stars.
Little did they know, they whole time they were over there, from the moment Kurama went to talk to Kagome, someone was watching them.
