InuYasha Fan Fiction / Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ To Hurt Once &To Love Again ❯ Chapter Two ( Chapter 2 )

I apologize for not updating quite soon after my short first chapter… well see at the time what I wanted to write was a Inuyasha and Yu Yu Hakusho fanfiction, and here comes the problem I had -

It has been quite a long time since I've watched Inuyasha (And I am terrible at remembering things like character names and attacks, ect.)

I had only just started watching Yu Yu Hakusho at the time… I think I was up to episode 30 or something. (Although now I have watched ALL of the episodes… not including the movies, I've not yet had the chance to watch them yet.)… (NOW I've watched the movies, LOL)

 

Well now that I've cleared that up I can get on with the second chapter of Memories… to be honest I'm thinking that later on when I've finished quite a few chapters, that I might change the name of my fanfiction to match the story line (I've not yet come up with a story line… I'm just making it up as I go along.), but if I do that I'll make sure to inform you first so you know that my fanfiction has not been deleted just has a different title.

 

And before I start the chapter I'd like to clear up Kagome's age on this… I'm making it so Kagome was 14 when she fell (Well technically she was pulled down… oh well!) down the Bone-Eaters Well and yes I do know its wrong!!! Also I'm making it that she was 15 when the Inuyasha-gumi defeated Naraku in my fanfiction, so in this chapter she's 17, okay now that's all cleared up its a lot better!

---------Memories Chapter Two.

_Sunset Shrine, Two Years Later_

-~-~-Kagome's POV-~-~-

 

During the two years that Kagome had been back in her own time she had finally caught up on the schoolwork and in the past year had been a secret Gakusei to an extremely famous Reiki Sensei, not once had she gone near the Bone-Eaters Well since the day she came back. She slowly became happier throughout the time being back keeping herself busy and for the first time in two whole years she stood staring at the Bone-Eaters Well remembering the promise she had made to Sango before coming home.

 

Flashback

 

Kagome and Sango stood there silently crying over the loss of Shippo, Miroku and Kirara when Kagome suddenly had a blank look before looking down at the Shikon no Tama lying innocently around her neck and she let out a strangled cry, she hugged Sango while whispering out in a croaky voice “Gomen, Gomen nasai Sango-ane…”.

 

Sango looked utterly confused until she looked at the Shikon no Tama… How could it be whole, its impossible… unless it meant that it had Kohaku's Shikon shard in it, but that was what was keeping him alive! Sango looked around her desperately, Kohaku hadn't been in the battle, where was he? He must be dead without the shard, that meant that Naraku had took back the shard he used on the young Youkai Exterminator… but when was it taken out? Where was Kohaku-otouto's body… Sango let out a strangled cry only worse then Kagome's, Sango held onto Kagome as if her life depended on it.

 

“Kagome-imouto… What am I going to do? Where is Kohaku-otouto's body? How will he rest in peace?” asked Sango desperately needing answers to all of her confused thoughts that were jumbled up in her mind, Kagome couldn't stand seeing someone she considered a sister to look and act this way… she sighed in defeat to one of her thoughts before answering Sango “Sango-ane you will always have a place with me and my family in the future… I consider you the older sister id always wanted… but I know you, Sango-ane if you were to come home with me would you truly be happy while knowing that Kohaku-otouto's body is out there somewhere and you hadn't had a chance to say goodbye? Ane I will go home by myself, I know that inside what you wish to do is find his body, bury him near your family and allow him to rest in peace. But Sango-ane you can't search for him for the rest of your life… When I go back to my time I'm going to seal shut the Bone-Eaters Well… only once will I open it again and come back to the Musashi's Domain and that is in two years from this day, if you don't find Kohaku's body by then and even if you do, if you come back to Kaede's Village in that day I will give you a choice. You can at that time come back to my time with me or stay in the Warring-States Era where you were born… but your only chance will be on that day, I can't afford to keep making changes to the past, that day will be my last ever coming back… Just make sure that you will be happy with your choice.”

 

Sango held onto Kagome tighter before letting go completely, she wiped the tears from her eyes while looking straight into Kagome's, they both smiled slightly a sad yet happy smile both silently promising each other to meet again in two years time… “Goodbye Kagome-ane.” Said Sango as she headed back to Kaede's village for her personal items, once Sango was out of her sight Kagome made her way towards the Bone-Eaters Well.

 

Kagome sat on the edge of the Well, just before jumping down she looked over her shoulder at the Inuyasha Forest one more time and whispered goodbye into the wind.

 

End of Flashback

 

Kagome took in a deep breath before allowing her Miko-chi to surround the Sutra's she had placed on the Well-House door, upon contact with her Miko-chi the sutra's disintegrated immediately, just before jumping down Kagome hid her Miko-chi and Reiki… to avoid the unavoidable problems in which Miko's had with Youkai back in the Warring-States Era.

 

_Musashi's Domain, Kaede's Village_

-~-~-With Sango-~-~-

 

Sango sat inside Kaede's hut with Hiraikotsu lying against the wall next to her, two months after she and Kagome had parted she found Kohaku's body inside Hitomi Castle… the whole castle was in uproar over where “Kagewaki-kaichou” was that they didn't even notice her enter the castle, Kohaku's body was in late-Kagewaki's study.

 

Within a week Sango had buried him next to the rest of the family at the destroyed Exterminators Village, she said her goodbyes to Kohaku and the rest of the villagers before travelling back to Kaede's Village. She spent the rest of that year and another protecting the village from Youkai while Kaede trained successor in the ways of the Miko.

 

Now Sango sat silently waiting for Kagome… after two whole years of not seeing her best friend/sister Sango had mad her decision in which to stay or go and now she sat there nervously, waiting to see Kagome again.

 

(Ummm… should I stop now? I think I will. [A brick is thrown at Jo's head and Jo dodges just in time] HEY!!! YOU COULD HAVE KILLED ME!!!!!! [Another brick is thrown] Okay okay I get it… I'll carry on a bit longer [Pout].)

 

-~-~-With Kagome-~-~-

 

Kagome jumped up to the top of the Bone-Eaters Well with speed and height that no normal ningen could possibly achieve, she didn't look back as she made her way to Kaede's Village just as she was about to enter a female voice shouted at her from nearby “Stop! I wont allow you to enter the village you FILTHY YOUKAI!!!” an arrow flew towards her heart and as if in slow motion Kagome traced from which direction the arrow came from she found herself looking into the eyes of female around 19 wearing Miko clothes… Kagome continued to stare into the girl's eyes as she grabbed onto the arrows wooden body before it pierced her.

 

Kagome frowned at the foolish girl and to think that somebody older than herself would do something as stupid as that, she snapped the arrow in half and turned around after hearing her name, there stood Kaede and Sango it was obvious that they had ran to her direction after hearing the girls screaming due to the fact Kaede was breathing heavily, Kagome smiled it was great to see them after so long.

 

Sango went wide eyed as she saw Kaede's successor Lily jump to strike at Kagome when her back was turned, “DIE YOUKAI!!!” screamed Lily as she went to stab Kagome's lower neck, Kagome dodged just in time but the arrow ended up stabbing into her arm instead. Kagome winced and pulled out the arrow causing Lily to shake as she said “You weren't purified… What kind of oni are you?!!” Sango was extremely worried about Kagome but she felt that soon she may have to hold back Kaede, she had never seen the old Miko so angry before.

 

Kagome's eyes flashed in rage as she turned to Lily, “WHAT KIND OF MIKO ARE YOU!!! YOU CANT EVEN TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NINGEN, YOUKAI AND ONI!!!!!! I'M A NINGEN YOU BAKA, I DON'T WANT TO EVEN THINK ABOUT HOW MANY OTHER NINGENS YOU'VE KILLED ACCUSING THEM OF BEING YOUKAI!!!!!!!!!” shouted Kagome as her hidden Miko-chi became clear to others with the ability to see and sense it, it swirled around her like a heavy wind and tossed her hair around in her anger at the supposed-to-be-successor of the village.

 

Lily stared at the “youkai” to she was now letting out a tremendous amount of Miko-chi `The youkai's a Miko!!!' she thought to herself her eyes wide, Kaede walked slowly towards Lily slowly disappointment and anger seen clearly in her eyes.

 

Kagome was about to give new Village Miko more of a telling off but she suddenly had a bad feeling that something was happening in her time, she was frowning as she turned to Sango “I think something bad is happening in my time, I've got to leave now just in case… Sango are you coming with me to my time or not?” Sango smiled and without a second thought said “Yes!”.
