Chapter 6
Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango, Sitora, and Kagome all stood outside talking about what they were going to do about their new problem; Lord Raizen. They were expected to help him, and they had to otherwise he might not let them attack Naraku. Each had decided that, individually they would make the decision to help him or not. One way or another Kagome and Sitora agreed there was something that needed their attention and they would help him.

From the corner of her eyes Kagome spotted Sesshoumaru walking towards them in his black haori and hakamas. She smiled at him and recieved a smirk from the youkai Lord. Everyone around them stared in amazement at Sesshoumaru they didn't know he owned anything black.

Sitora smiled brightly, "Wow, Sess you look gorgeous. Why don't you wear black more often?"

He merely shook his head. "Are we all ready to go?" With nods from everyone he summoned his youkai cloud and they took to the skies.

The Nothern palace was surrounded with mountians so walking was out of the question. The only efficient way of getting there was to fly, and it wouldn't take as long.

"Hurry! Get them under control!"

"There are too many, we can't get them all!"

"Fools. This is nothing." The owner of the cold voice unsheathed his sword and started killing enemies left and right. Three more beside him also started massacring the invading youkai.

The scent of death reached Sesshoumaru's nose. It was coming from the Northern palace and there was a lot of blood soaking the air. He sped up his approach and notified everyone of the battle coming up.

With weapons drawn they descended into the battle.

Raizen looked up and saw Lord Sesshoumaru had, in fact come early as requested. With a new ferocity he pushed foward to meet Sesshoumaru.

Inuyasha attacked using the windscar, being careful not to kill those who looked like they were on his side. Miroku stood at his back using his staff to ward off youkai. Sango and Kagome were on Kirara. Sango was attacking with the hiraikotsu and Kagome was firing purified arrows. Sitora was using her sword to dispatch enemies who tried to attack Kagome and Sango.

Sesshoumaru obliterated any youkai that came near him with the Tokijin. He was not in the mood to be merciful. From the corner of his eye he kept watch on Kagome, not trusting her security to the youkia exterminator. He saw the monk prepare to use the wind tunnel and jumped behind him.

Miroku removed the prayer beads wrapped around his wind tunnel and pulled all of the youkai still alive into the air void. The only who escaped were the ones who were fighting on Raizen's side.

Miroku replaced the beads and said a prayer for the dead youkai. Sango and Kagome landed next to Sesshoumaru. Inuyasha came up to them with the Tetsusaiga slung over his shoulder. Sitora stood next to Sesshoumaru smiling at their mess.

Kagome looked at her, "Did the feeling you have go away?"

Sitora nodded, "Yeah, now I feel a lot better." She looked over ast Miroku, "Hey you could really come in handy sometimes."

"Nice to know I could be of use." Miroku held his injured arm.

Kagome noticed this and went over to him, "Let me see."

Miroku took his hand away from the injured area and winced at the sharp pain.

"Here." She summoned her now enhanced healing power and healed his arm.

"Wow, I didn't think you could do that. When did you learn to control your miko powers?" Miroku looked at Kagome seriously.

"I don't know how I got control over my healing power it just happened. The first time I used it was when I restored Sesshoumaru's arm and that was a while ago."

Sesshoumaru barely contained his smirk, she knew how she gained control over her miko. He turned when he felt five youkai approach them. Raizen and, Sesshoumaru assumed, his generals were walking towards them.

Kagome saw Sesshoumaru turn and looked past him at the approaching youkai. 'The one in the lead has to be Raizen.'

Everyone stopped talking when Raizen stopped to inspect them. Then he turned to Sesshoumaru, "I was not aware you and your brother settled your issues. And now you travel with humans?"

Sesshoumaru didn't show his anger, "Inuyasha and I have settled on a temporary truce against one enemy. As for the humans-"

Kagome interrupted, "They are my friends and they came to help you, they didn't have to."

A growl erupted from Raizen, "And who might you be?"

"I am the guardian of the Shikon no Tama, my name is Kagome."

Raizen raised his hand to her. He intended to hit her for talking to him with disrespect. When he felt a clawed hand grab his he turned to the owner of that hand. "What is the meaning of this Lord Sesshoumaru?"

"If you intend to hit her you will be going to war with me."

"Why? What does she matter?"

Sesshoumaru growled, "She is my mate Raizen."

Behind Raizen the two of the four youkai snickered at him. Kagome looked at them. One had short black hair and was wearing dark green haori and matching hakamas. The other one had redish hair and was wearing a teal haori and blue hakamas.

Raizen glared at them, "Yusuke, Kuwabara that is enough!"

Yusuke glared back at him, "You have no control over me old man. Besides, even I could tell that she was his mate."

Kagome saw the one with silver hair close his eyes and shake his head. The youkai standing beside him just looked ahead, thoroughly pissed looking.

"Lord Sesshoumaru, I meant no offense. Forgive me." Raizen bowed, "May we speak in private?"

Sesshoumaru nodded, "Kagome stay with Sitora. Half-breed don't do anything you will regret and keep your friends near you." Sesshoumaru followed Raizen inside without a look back.

Kagome smiled, "So your name is Yusuke and your is Kuwabara?" She looked at the other two, "What about you guys?"

The fox smirked, "I am Youko and this is Hiei. I am pleased to meet you my Lady."

"Don't use the 'Lady' titile with me. I don't like it and will never get used to it." A sly smile appeared on her face, "Besides my mate is elsewhere at this time, so no need for honorifics. Hey-" A frown made it's way to her face.

Sitora looked at her, "What's wrong Kagome?"

"I left Yue at the palace and he's not too happy about it. Darn it I forgot all about him."

"How could you forget about him?"

"Well, Sesshoumaru was being Sesshoumaru and I forgot about him." Kagome called her mate, ~Sesshoumaru, I left Yue at home.~

He came back with, ~I know, it has been taken care of.~

~Thanks.~ Kagome smiled, "Sesshoumaru already sent someone to bring him here. Anyway, my name is Kagome." She pointed to Sitora, "This is one of Sesshoumaru's generals and my friend Sitora. This is Inuyasha, Sango, and Miroku. Oh and this is Kirara."

Youko smiled, "Nice to meet you all." His gaze lingered on Sitora then moved to Kagome.

"So what was with the attack?"

Hiei grunted, "Foolish youkai who think they can overcome us. They are here for Raizen's life."

"Why?"

Yusuke interjected, "Because he's dying. Soon he'll kick the bucket then I take over."

To Yusuke, Inuyasha said, "You are planning on overthrowing him instead?"

"No, I have a right to the title. I am his supposed grandson."

Kaggome frowned, "Grandson? Where are your mother and father?"
