By the time Sesshomaru and Yuusuke arrived back at the shrine the two were positively annoyed with one another. Yuusuke wouldn't shut up and he was headstrong on asking stupid questions. Sesshomaru being who he is ignored the boy, but one can only ignore for so long. Yuusuke was needless to say hit, and hit hard. The boy was not only annoyed but also sad. Why had the demon he had started to like, hate him so much after only a little while. After last night the boy had thought that the demon would at least lighten up but here Sesshomaru was as cold as he has seen him since he had arrived not but three days ago. The tall, strong, luminous demon that could make someone change preferences.

 

Yuusuke stared as the demon stood against the wall with his eyes closed as the others sparred around them. Instead of sparring like he was supposed to Sesshomaru was ignoring him. The two had not talked in almost four days. Yuusuke has had his own cases of not talking for days at a time but not only were they in the same house, but also walked by each other almost a dozen times a day. Sesshomaru had been so cold to him that he had started sulking, every one noticed of course. You're talking about the always shogun Urameshi Yuusuke. Anyone would realize if he was acting out of character, and for the past four days everyone had noticed.

Slowly but strongly Yuusuke walked towards Sesshomaru, with his head held high Yuusuke continued walking towards Sesshomaru. When he was finally face to face with him he pulled his arm back and as hard as he could he punched Sesshomaru in the face turning and running into the forest as soon as the hit landed. Sesshomaru shocked that the boy would actually hit him and run had to take a moment to recompose himself. Within seconds Sesshomaru was chasing after Yuusuke furious. How dare that hanyou hit him, how dare he disrespect him like that. Using all the speed he could he ran after Yuusuke, his eyes going red. Insolence shall be punished.

 

Yuusuke continued running, his mind in pieces. Why did I hit him, why did I run, why am I so mad, what's wrong with him, what's wrong with me. He continued running as fast as he could not even thinking of where he was going. Yuusuke ran where he felt his body pulling him to. He didn't stop until he was thrown to the ground pinned by Sesshomaru.

“You insolent little hanyou.” He hissed, as Yuusuke looked at him blankly, not even responding to the harsh tone and words. Sesshomaru stared harshly at the boy; if looks could kill.

The boy merely leaned up and nuzzled Sesshomaru's chest, the inu's eyes widen a little as the boy just nuzzled his stomach. Responding to nothing.

“Yuusuke?” He questioned and the boy didn't even seem fazed, as if he was deaf. The boy continued some time before something clicked for Sesshomaru. `He's acting on instincts.' He thought reaching out to rub Yuusuke's head, as the boy growled softly at the action turning his head into the motion. Sesshomaru stared numbly at the boy as his hand absently ran through his hair. It puzzled Sesshomaru even more as he started to understand the growls. He hadn't heard them since he was a child therefore it took him a while to comprehend it.

“Let go, find us, wake up.” Yuusuke repeated over and over, baffling Sesshomaru to no end.

“What do you speak of?” Sesshomaru asked his eyes heavy.

“Wake up, let go, come to us.” Yuusuke said continuing to nuzzle Sesshomaru as if nothing was out of the norm. Sesshomaru stared lost in a trance, the boy's growls having an odd effect on him.

Come back to us Sesshomaru, lose your façade and become the inu you are. Leave this lie behind. Join the boy he is your key. If you wish to be free stay. If you wish to be encaged leave.

“Sesshomaru?” Yuusuke said looking up at the demon, when all he was doing was starring in front of himself blankly. Yuusuke looked at Sesshomaru's eyes and understood that the same thing that had been happening to him lately was now happening to Sesshomaru. Yuusuke being under that same spell knew what to do to have it removed. He couldn't exactly do it to himself maybe it would work on Sesshomaru.

“Pushed away, received in the darkness. Hidden beneath so only the key may find. Release what has now been hidden.” Yuusuke said, it was like a mantra that has been repeated inside his head for the past four months, finally spoken out loud. He didn't actually think it would work it was just something he had to try.

“I am the key.” Yuusuke whispered as Sesshomaru blinked, for the first time in about ten minutes.

“Sesshomaru?” It was Yuusuke's turn to question. The inu mentioned blinked again and looked at Yuusuke before sitting up and turning to leave before Yuusuke attached him self to Sesshomaru.

“Let go.” Sesshomaru growled viciously.

“No, not till you talk. I know that isn't your strong point but still. You ignored me for four days then go into an instinct trance like I do.” Yuusuke said tightening his grip.

“Let go human.” Sesshomaru growled.

“We've been through this I'm not completely human, and I'm not letting go until you talk, that or you knock me out.” Yuusuke said before he was thrown across the clearing by Sesshomaru's punch. Yuusuke stood slowly whipping the blood from his mouth.

“Damn, you punch almost as hard as an old friend I have. Pretty bad considering he's human.” Yuusuke teased, pushing the inu's anger. Before he could say another word Sesshomaru pinned him to a tree growling viciously.

“Why do you persist in making a fool of you self, practically begging for your own death.” Sesshomaru hissed.

“I just wanna know why you've been avoiding me. That day might have been just some runt for you but it wasn't for me. I thought inu's had more loyalty then that but I guess I was wrong. Why won't you talk about it I did.” Yuusuke said looking down.

“Yes you did, you fear pain. I fear…weakness. You're a weakness simple as that.” Sesshomaru said disappearing.

Short chapter, ne? Sorry just can't do what I wanna do with this story unless I end it here. So you folks review and I might update ^.^
