Chapter 5: "What are you trying to tell me?"

* Sighs *

Author's note: Sorry about the two day delay. It's the weekend. That means it's party time and I had to go to the club. My bad.

Kagome ran down the winding road towards the gate. `I can't believe this shit. I go through all this just to tutor someone. Ugh' She reached for her yellow book bag on her shoulder to call Sango on her cell when she realized it wasn't there.

`Oh no don't tell me I left it there. I am gonna have to go back to that mansion to get it because I am not walking the whole way back.' Kagome ran off the side of the road into the Sakura trees as a short cut heading back to the house.

Meanwhile…

Sesshomaru smirked as he watched Inu Yasha still walking a little funny. "What the hell's so funny?"

"That you got kicked in your nuts by a girl. Isn't that the obvious reason why I would be smirking right now? Oh wait you're so dense that probably didn't even occur to you that, that might be the reason…" Inu Yasha growled but Sesshomaru said, "Come on let's hurry up if we want to catch her before she gets past that gate."

They started running out the door at top speed following her scent towards the gate. But when they got three- quarters of the way there they realized her scent of fear stopped and it moved. "What the fuck? She wouldn't have gone back to the house would she? No way," Inu Yasha said as he continued heading towards the gate. Sesshomaru strolled behind him as he watched Inu Yasha jump onto the gate then over it. "I can't pick up her scent any more. She couldn't have run into any water. The lake is on the other side of the mansion."

"You Idiot if you would of paid attention you would of realized that the scent turned back towards the house."

"Why the fuck didn't you say anything before I jumped all over that gate."

"It amuses me to watch you make a fool of your self. Come on so we can catch her."

Meanwhile…

`The same freakin' tree I was gonna jump down in the first place. Now I gotta climb it.' Kagome took the lowest branch and hoisted herself up it and continued until she could reach the bathroom window. It was still op from when she tried to climb out earlier so she was in luck. She jumped through and ran out the bathroom. She ran into the library and picked up her yellow bag. Kagome ran out the room heading back up towards the bathroom in case she accidentally ran into some one heading out the foyer. But she heard a noise and almost screamed.

"Kagome? Is it really you?" She felt two sets of tiny arms go around her waist she looked down and noticed two children looking up at her.

"Who…who are you…and…how do you know my name?"

The little girl looking up at her smiled and said, "Kagome don't you remember us? It's me Rin?" The little girl appeared to be the age of nine.

Kagome looked at the other child and his smile broadened before he tightened his arms around her waist. " I miss you so much. You don't know how mean Inu Yasha has been to me. But he has sorta been moping around since you left. Always muttering, `How am I supposed to get Kagome back?' It's so cool that we are all here now. This world is so different though…"

"Shippo I don't know if she remembers us… Look at her face…" Kagome's eye was twitching as she tried to peel the children's arms off her waist.

"Ok I think you guys both need to jug down a bottle of Nyquild a piece and take a LONG nap. Then in the morning have you parents take you to your doctors… Ok sweeties…" She pulled their arms off and started walking slowly back up the stairs.

"But Kagome, you can't tell me you don't remember anything?! Wait! Has Miroku and Sango said anything to you?" Kagome stopped.

"What do Miroku and Sango have to do with anything? How do you know who they are?"

"Miroku, Sango and Kouga were taken back with you when everything happened. We couldn't do anything to stop it. It was the last thing Naraku was able to do before we killed him. Butr since you left the full Shikon no Tama with Inu Yasah we were all able to come back and get you." Rin nodded her head at this; "Yeah if Sesshomaru-sama didn't teach Inu Yasha about how he could save you we would never of been able to get here. Inu Yasha was very upset about your departure. It's been a year since everything happened but we're finally able to come see you now."

Kagome's whole body was shaking but Shippo spoke up again, "It seems that all the old enemies that we defeated that had human characteristics are here too. I have already met the older thunder brother working at one of the super markets here…"

"STOP IT!!!! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANYMORE!!!" Kagome had tears that she didn't even notice had leaked out of her eyes running down her face. She started walking back up the stairs again but her back bumped into something. She slowly turned around and screamed. Inu Yasha was looking down at her but smiling.

"Do you think we should take off our concealment charms so that she can see what we really look like? Maybe she will remember us the?," Sesshomaru said.

Inu Yasha nodded and muttered some words. Kagome stared as she watched him start changing in front of her. She noticed that his human ears were starting to disappear but instead some fluffy ears were coming out of the top of his head. Kagome turned to get some help from the others but when she looked at Sesshomaru and Shippo she noticed that they had both gotten tails. Shippo appeared shorter then when she first saw him and Sesshomaru now had pointy ears and had marks on the side of his face. Kagome turned back to Inu Yasha and noticed that even though he still looked human he now had yellow eyes for slits in them and when he smiled this time she noticed he had pointed teeth in his mouth.

Kagome stood there for a moment contemplating things then she screamed at the top of her lungs. Inu Yasha's ears flattened on the top of his head, he slapped his had across her mouth and he hissed, "Don't you remember how sensitive my ears are to things like that?" Kagome gasped behind his hand and fainted onto the steps.

"You idiot you was supposed to catch her," Sesshomaru said.

"How the hell was I supposed to know she was gonna faint like that?"

"Even I know that when a girl goes through that much shock she is gonna faint," said shippo.

"Why you… Shut up!," Inu Yasha said menacingly. He leaned down and picked Kagome up in his arms. "Yeah I guess she did go through a little shock. I guess she truly doesn't' remember anything…

"No Duh!!!!!!"

Inu Yasha was about to leap off the stairs to pounce on Shippo but Sesshomaru grabbed his collar. "Why don't you lay her down first then you can chase that kitsune."

"Yeah…I will…"

Author's note: I am seriously pissed that my whole chapter didn't come up. I have been on my Christmas break from college and I check my email once and found out my story was cut. But I had left my story disk back in my dorm so I couldn't post it during the break. Well I am going to post the next chapter tomorrow. Songie T_T
