Chapter Six: A Day intheLife…

Inuyasha and Kagome probably would have stayed in their bed all day but fate decided to say otherwise.

A soft knock on the door caused them to break the kiss they were currently sharing and sit up, "Come in."

Upon hearing her daughter say she could come in Mrs. Higurashi opened the door and came in, "Sorry to bother you but Ayumi is on the phone and would really like to talk to you."

`Oh yeah, she ran into me when I was suicidal, she probably wants to talk to me to see why I was so upset.' Kagome thought to herself as Inuyasha asked, "Who is Ayumi?"

Kagome stood up after wrapping a blanket around her and ignoring the sigh from her mother about her nakedness and walked towards her, "One of my friends Inuyasha, I need to talk to her." Kagome only heard Inuyasha, "Keh" and mumble to himself as she took the phone from her mother, "Hello?"

"Kagome! What happened, you seemed so upset." Ayumi said sounding greatly concerned.

"Oh, I had a small fight with my ma-…er boyfriend, but we made up after I found out that it was just a big misunderstanding."

"Really? But you seemed so upset."

"No, don't worry I'm fine now."

Ayumi sighed, "Okay, can you come out to lunch with me and the others?"

Kagome thought for a moment, `But I promised to stay with Inuyasha today.' "Um…"

"Please…I really want to meet this boyfriend of yours and make sure he is treating you right." Ayumi pleaded.

Kagome gave up, "Fine, Meet me here and we will go to the usual place."

"Great! See ya soon." Kagome hung up the phone and sat back down on her bed.

"You're going somewhere?" Inuyasha asked, wondering what she just agreed to.

Kagome turned and wrapped her arms around Inuyasha, "No, we're going somewhere."

Inuyasha looked confused, "We?"

"Yes. We."

"But…I thought you said I can't go out, that I would draw too much attention."

Mrs. Higurashi Walked over to them and shook her head, "No you won't, just put on some different clothes on."

"Yeah he could, but we don't have any clothes that he could wear." Kagome said glancing back at her mother.

"Yes he does, a while ago I bought some clothes for him and put them in your closest."

Kagome walked over to her closet and looked at the bags in the corner that she had never noticed before. In the bags were a few pairs of jeans, some shirts and a black and red hat. Mrs. Higurashi turned and left the room leaving Kagome and Inuyasha alone to get dressed. Lucky one of the pairs of dark blue jeans fit Inuyasha and he just threw on a black t-shirt with a red design on the back. Inuyasha put on the hat as Kagome slipped into a blue shirt with matching skirt. They walked downstairs to see Kagome's friends waiting for them. As soon as Inuyasha entered the room, they all gasped at the handsome and cool looking guy with his arm around Kagome's arm. They both blushed as all of her friends started to ooh and aw over Inuyasha. After some minor introductions, they all walked outside and down the street to a WacDonald's. Inuyasha just stood there confused until Kagome explained to him how to order and they all burst out laughing when he asked for ramen. They eventually got their food and sat down to eat it.

"So Kagome, is Inuyasha the guy you told us about?" Ayumi asked after a while.

"Yeah he is." Kagome replied taking a bite out of her cheeseburger,

"So this is the two-timing arrogant jerk?" Yuka asked staring at Inuyasha.

Inuyasha leaned towards Kagome as she looked down, "Am I really an arrogant jerk Kagome?"

Kagome put down her food and looked at him close, "No, you're not."

"So why did you tell them I was?"

Kagome looked embarrassed, "That was a long time ago and it was when I had a fight with you."

"Oh good, but what am I now?"

"You're sweet, loving, strong, and my hero."

"Good." He said softly as he moved in and started to kiss her. They suddenly became lost in their own little world as they deepened the kiss.

Kagome's friends just sat and stared until Yuka threw a fry at them, "Hey, get a room."

Kagome and Inuyasha suddenly came out of their world and went back to there food, blushing deeply. They ate quietly until Yuka took a sip from her drink and looked at Inuyasha, "So Inuyasha, what happened with the other girl you were with?"

Inuyasha thought for a moment, `They must be talking about Kikyo' "Oh, I killed her."

"WHAT!" all of Kagome's friends yelled in unison as they backed away and Eri grabbed Kagome, "What are you doing with a psycho Kagome?"

`Good going Inuyasha' Kagome thought trying to dig Inuyasha out of the hole he put himself in, "Um… he meant that she is dead to him, not that he actually killed her."

Inuyasha looked confused, "But Kagome I di-."

Kagome stopped him by covering his mouth, "Don't talk about that. In my time it's not good to kill people." She whispered into his ear as her friends sat back down next to them.

Ayumi just shook her head but then remembered something, "Oh yeah, Kagome I have been meaning to ask you, have you seen Hojou recently?"

"No, he did drop off some books for me from school but I didn't see him, why?"

"Well, recently Hojou has been acting differently." Yuka butted in.

"Differently?"

"Yeah, I never see him at school anymore, and when I asked the teacher about it he said that Hojou had been excused form school for the rest of the year. And even after school, we never see him out anymore."

"Oh…"

"Maybe the idiot is depressed that he can't have Kagome." Inuyasha blurted out.

"Kagome hit him a little hard to be playful, "Inuyasha! Don't say that, wouldn't be like that."

"Actually Kagome, he is rather obsessed with you." Eri whispered as she crumbled up her empty burger wrapper.

`Obsessed? I never knew Hojou was like that…' Kagome thought as Eri changed the subject.

Then for the next five minutes, they talked about girl stuff and recent gossip.

After a while, they finished eating and they all left the restaurant. As soon as Inuyasha was sure that her friends were gone, he kissed her on the cheek, "No offence Kagome, but your friends are kind of weird."

Kagome sighed, "I know, they may seem a bit strange to you."

"Strange doesn't cover it, why did they keep asking how far we got, and why didn't you just tell them?"

Kagome turned red, "Because I really didn't want to talk about that to them."

"Why?" Inuyasha asked as the turned and walked up the stairs to her house.

"Because in my time, most girls my age haven't done that yet."

"Keh, I'll never understand your time."

"You better because you will be spending a lot more time here."

Inuyasha stopped her in front of the door of her house, "What do you mean by that?"

She turned towards him, "Well when we get married we might have to spend more time here and anyways by then we will have the jewel completed, and Naraku will be dead."

"So, that doesn't mean that we will spend more time here, because by then I would have built you a house and we maybe would even have a few pups."

Kagome walked closer and embraced him, "My mom said I shouldn't have any children until after we get married."

"Oh, but can we at least practice before then?" He said smirking as he pushed her against the door.

Kagome grinned, "Oh course." She replied as she started to kiss him. They probably would have kissed for a while but Souta opened the door because he thought he heard a knock. This caused both Kagome and Inuyasha to fall down into the house. They looked up at Souta with anger in their eyes. He apologized as fast as he could and ran into the other room. Inuyasha stood up and helped Kagome up, "I think we scared him."

Kagome giggled, "Yeah I think we did." They both laughed and headed up stairs.

Two figures lay in a forest under a purple robe moving, moaning and groaning. The figure on the bottom screamed loudly as the figure on top pushed down and stayed there for a while.

Miroku sighed as he slowly sat up and grabbed his robes, which were on the ground around him.

"See, if you're a good monk that is what you get." Sango said lying on the ground breathing loudly. Miroku smiled and handed Sango her clothes and they slowly dressed together. After they finished they both laid down on the ground again and stared at the sky. "Hey Miroku?"

Miroku rolled to his side and looked at her, "Yes?"

"I'm wondering what would happen if we…don't kill Naraku in time for…"

Miroku looked down, "Oh that…"

"I mean, if it does happen I was wondering if I could go with you."

Miroku sat up, "What do mean?"

"When it is time will you let me go with you into the wind tunnel?"

"Why would you do that?"

"Because since my entire family died your basically all I have left."

"What about Kohaku?"

"The only thing keeping him alive is the jewel shard in his back..."

"…and to complete the jewel we must take it."

Sango slowly started crying, "Yes, he has no memory of me and he has to die to complete the jewel."

Miroku wrapped his arm around her shoulder, cuddled her and quickly changed the subject, "But still you would be willing to die with me?"

"Yes."

"You mean you would leave our child parentless?"

"No I just…I could never raise our child without you."

"Oh…I understand; I could never do it alone either." Miroku replied lying back down.

"Thank you." Sango said as she leaned down and kissed him.

"You're welcome." Miroku yawned as he fell asleep for a quick nap.

Inuyasha slowly opened his eyes as the morning sun shined in through the window. He looked down at Kagome; she looked quite peaceful lying there asleep. He smiled when he remembered all the things they had done the previous night. They had tried many different positions and many different things. He had given her four orgasms in the first half hour of their fun, but after that, they had to tone it down a little because Kagome's mom knocked on the door asking them in a motherly voice to try to keep it down. Inuyasha had found that funny that even though her mother was aware of what they were doing the only thing she cared about was for them to be quiet. Coming out of his thought Inuyasha slowly started butterfly kissing Kagome's neck and face until he reached he mouth. She awoke slowly and opened her mouth to allow him entrance. After a while he broke away, "Good morning Kagome, my love."

She smiled, "Good morning to you too Inuyasha, my lovely hanyou."

"How are you feeling?"

"Pretty good, but I don't think I will be able to walk for a while."

Inuyasha laughed, "Well you better be able to walk soon because we have to go back today."

Kagome whined, "Oh, do we have to?"

"Yes we do, I also wish we could stay in this bed forever but we have to go back."

"Alright." Kagome groaned as she slowly got out of bed and started to get dressed. She had just put her bra and only her bra on when Inuyasha grabbed her from behind, started kissing her on the neck and groping her behind, "Inuyasha, stop acting like Miroku!" She said giggling as he just turned her and kissed her more deeply.

They were so into their kiss that they did not hear her door open, "Hey sis, are you…OH MY KAMI!" Souta screamed from the sight of seeing a naked Inuyasha kissing a half-naked Kagome. He covered his eyes and ran out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him.

Inuyasha and Kagome just stood there trying to figure out what happened and burst out laughing and giggling. "Now he is scarred for life!" Inuyasha said between laughs making Kagome laugh even harder. About a minute of laughing later, they somehow had gotten dressed and left her room still giggling softly. As they walked into the kitchen, they looked at Souta who was extremely embarrassed and tried not to make eye contact with them.

After quickly finishing their breakfast, they walked outside towards the well house, only to be stopped by another one of Kagome's friends, "Higurashi?"

Kagome turned, "Hojou?" She looked at her friend, who for some reason was holding an umbrella open over him, "What's with the umbrella?"

"Oh this? It's really bright out today." Hojou said as he noticed Inuyasha, "Who are you?"

Kagome turned to Inuyasha, who looked like he was about to kill Hojou but thankfully at least had a hat on, "Oh this is my boyfriend Inuyasha."

"Oh…so this is the man Yuka told me about."

"Yeah…well…sorry Hojou, but we really have to go; maybe we could talk later,"

"No, it's fine." Hojou said forcing a smile.

"Thank you." Kagome bowed as Hojou left, "Okay let's go." She whispered to Inuyasha as they walked over to the well house, `Time to go and fight evil again.' Kagome thought as they jumped into the well, kissing as they do so.
