Chapter 18

Inuyasha ran to Jeff's side, carefully examining the wound. He could see that the shot did indeed go through his shoulder and that he was loosing an adequate amount of blood. Quickly tearing his white shirt, Inuyasha began licking the wound stopping the blood flow instantly. After bandaging his healing wound, he asked. “Jeff will you be able to continue?”

“Yes sir, I can manage.” Jeff replied, gripping his wounded arm.

Mukotsu was still in Kaito's grasp, and then abruptly dragged him over to the Captain. “Sir what do you want me to do with this filth?” He said with a threatening tone.

Inuyasha stood up walking over to the short man, looking down at the man with hate and disgust. “Where is Naraku? Tell me now and I may let you live.” Inuyasha bluffed.

“I will tell you nothing.” Mukotsu said, then he spit on Inuyasha black boot. Mukotsu smiled when he saw the angry look, Inuyasha was now sporting.

Kaito gripped him harder. “You will respect the captain, or you can feel my claws run down your slimy neck.” Kaito threatened him while running his clawed finger down his throat; enough to make him warm blood trickle down his neck.

“Tell me now! Where is he?” Inuyasha asked again, while sticking the tip of his blade closely to his neck.

Mukotsu stood silent; he was not about to divulge his commander in any way. “I have no idea what you are talking about.” He said obtusely.

“Fine have it your way.” Inuyasha said with a brash manner. Inuyasha did not have any more patience to deal with him, he needed to make sure that Miroku, and the girls made it to Kaede's safely. “Put him on a horse and lets go we are wasting time, if I no Naraku he is as good as dead the minute he sees us with his crew-mate.” Inuyasha ordered, before punching Mukotsu in the face, temporarily rendering him unconscious.

Kaito draped his limp body over the saddle of his horse, like a sac of potatoes. They remounted and continued into the town. Kaito grabbing the reins followed behind at a slower pace, not wanting to loose his cargo.

Going down to the armory he repositioned his cannons to the enemy's ship all he needed to do was wait for a battle to break before blasting fatal size holes into the vessel before him. “Good work men, make sure we do not run out of our black round friends.” Koga said sarcastically, before returning to the main deck.

Musou approached the tavern with at least twenty of his crewmen. He saw a malevolence man standing outside letting the early morning wind whip parts of his black hair from his now loosened ponytail. Naraku stood with delight he saw his wonderful toy, and could not wait to conquer her very being. He would break her into his molding. Ravage her repeatedly, until she begged him to stop. “Good work Musou, stand guard until I give the order to assail.” He commanded.

The men scurried away into the hidden shadows of the town. They patiently waited for their orders then would attack randomly.

The group finally broke the clearing of the palm tree forest. Inuyasha stopped his men. “Its too fucking quiet.” He said loud enough for only his men to hear him. Mukotsu began to come too. Kaito quickly hit him over the head again.

“I can smell Naraku.” Inuyasha said, while slowly leading his mates to a tavern where Naraku's stench was still freshly lingering in the air. “Drop off that slimy piece of shit here!” He commanded. Kaito led his mount to the front of the tavern. Reaching over grabbing the back of his shirt, he roughly yanked him to the ground. “Thanks mate you have been a real help with helping us find your Captain.” Inuyasha said aloud, in hopes that prying ears heard his confession.

Naraku watched on from his hiding spot; watching Mukotsu fall of the horse and too hear Inuyasha's words. “I will deal with you later Mukotsu.” Naraku growled. Then set off the order to attack. “Now men!” He yelled with a merciless command.

The men yelled out when revealing their hiding spots, with their weapons drawn ready for the attack. Inuyasha turned his horse around and drew out his steel blade, kicking the sides of his horse he charged for the nearest pirate. The bootleg roared while coming after Inuyasha, and then suddenly chopped down dead, by a lethal slice to the front due to the angry sword. A gunshot tore though the oncoming battle shooting at Inuyasha instead, it missed him and struck the neck of his steed. With a sudden halt, and a brief whinny the horse fell over dead trapping Inuyasha's leg under the saddle. Reaching for his gun, he began shooting anyone who would dare attack him, in this vulnerable situation.

The battle was ferocious, swords clashed with each other, whereas gunshots rang out in the distance. Koga heard the commotion and gave the order to assault Naraku's vessel.

A loud explosion thundered in the distance, halting the battle for a brief moment.

Naraku's men were running around on deck franticly, they by no means had a chance to fire a retaliating shot when a small black ball, collided with one of their cannons; rendering their mighty weapon useless.

“Fire!” Koga shouted again. “Boom!” The cannon made a whizzing sound as it cut through the air only to strike another devastating blow. While shards of splintered, fragments erupted from the mighty vessel landing in their watery grave. He could hear the men yelling while the water was creeping into the new abrasion of the ship. Black smoke lingered in the air surrounding them. Koga's men hoisted their guns and fired upon the enemy's crew. “Fire!” Koga ordered again. The great cannon shot out the black ball that made its fatal blow to the once mighty vessel.

Taking in water fast, the men had no choice but to abandoned ship. Koga was relentless and kept his men firing at the retreating men, with accurate aim.

Miroku ran out of the house armed and awaiting the battle that had already began. Kagome and Sango desperately tried to stop him. Giving them each hopes of returning he mounted on his steed. He quickly departed, leaving the girls alone to defend for themselves. He reached the combat head on. He looked around recklessly firing at anyone who dared to get in his way. He could see a great black cloud of smoke still lingering in the smoky air. He silently thanked Koga. He found his friend underneath his horse.

Dismounting his steed, he smacked it on the backside, making the frightened animal retreat. Running up to his friend with his sword drawn, he could see more men coming out of the water, baring their swords; since their gunpowder was rendered useless, due to their recent swim. Shooting down as many men as he could, he would have to refill his barrel with the black powder. A pirate tried to sneak up behind Miroku, with his blade drawn; he was getting ready to spinelessly backstab him.

“Behind you!” Inuyasha yelled, he too was out of ammo, and only relied on his sword, still desperately trying to pry the dead animal off his body. Despite his demon strength, his boot caught in the stirrup making his effort nothing but failed attempts.

Miroku turned around and plunged his blade into the other man, losing his sword into the wetness of the enemy's flesh. The man fell dead. Miroku approached him prying his sword from the cadaver. Wiping the warm bloody remains of his gore on the now lifeless mans clothing.

Being the coward that he is Naraku watched the battle in the safety of his hiding place, until he saw the same man approaching the scene with great speed. Stealing an opportunity he gathered a nearby horse and made is way to the white manor that kept his toy safely hidden away from him.

The vessel finally made her demise into the ocean depths, leaving Koga exposed to the once white beaches that were slowly turning into seas of crimson sand. He ordered his men to reposition his cannons aiming for land. Using his telescope, he could see Inuyasha and his first mate fending off the countless hordes of men. Giving his armory the proper coordinates, he ordered the fire again. He watched the devastating weapon tear into the sandy beach; bodies' parts flew into the air due to each devastating blow. Watching again he could see that Miroku was waving to him with a smile almost saying thanks. Setting his new coarse once again, he ordered his men. “Fire!”

Men scrambled on the beach; retreating from the heavy artillery, that now softened the crimson beach with the bloodbath of mangled flesh and bones.

“Where are the girls?” Inuyasha could not help but ask his second in command. He began to get a sickening feeling in his gut, thinking about his mate. “ I hope she is alright.” He wondered.

“They are with Kaede. Sir.” Miroku said cautiously still trying to pry the corpse off his captain. Looking around he saw the carnage around him desperately looking for Shippo. He noticed the fierceness of the fox, killing as many men as he could. Miroku could not help but chuckle about the fox. He loved a good fight. However this was not the time to mirth, he needed to get his captain out of this situation. “Shippo!” He screeched loud enough, knowing that the fox could hear him even through the devastation around him.

Shippo slashed demons and humans alike with his fierce claws while swinging his mighty blade ripping into the wetness of the flesh. Hearing his name screamed, he glanced around to where the noise was descending. Making quick work of his victims, he jumped up in the air twirling his body around, landing behind a demon slicing him in half. Then retreated to where he could see his comrades; licking the bloodshed off his claws.

Kagome and Sango sat on a plush wicker couch. Sipping some tea that Kaede had made, Kagome looked around the plain small house. There was a set of stairs leading too the upstairs bedrooms. Kaede told them that she had been married to a sailor who died years ago, lost at sea. On her walls were nautical artifacts that, now where left too her, from her late husband. Oil lamps adorned the walls, next to the colorful paintings of an angry sea. “Can I bring you some more tea?” Kaede asked with a smile on her face, hoping to comfort the girls who were so worried about their men. “I'm sure they will be just fine.” She said calmingly, pouring more tea into their flowered cups.

“I'm sure you are right.” Kagome said, watching the petite stout older woman, setting down the matching teapot on her sterling silver tray. “I just can not help but worry, Kaede. It sounds bad outside.” No sooner had she said that an unexpected knock came at the door. Startled Kagome arose from her seat. She glanced over at Kaede then looked back at the door. “Inuyasha.” She said softly, hoping it was her love; she approached the door.

Inuyasha, who was now enjoying his freedom, thanks to the help of Shippo, glanced around noticing that Naraku's men were diminishing. Not caring however, he only needed to find their commander. Sniffing the air, he had a hard time tracking Naraku with the entire massacre before him. Not being able too sense him, he started getting an uneasy feeling. “Stay here Miroku.” He said looking at his long time friend, placing a reassuring touch on his shoulder, he ran with immense velocity towards Kaede's house.

“Wait Kagome!” Kaede said, she too arose, and began to approach her before she opened the wooden door. However, it was too late. Kagome screamed when her first captor ruthlessly dragged her out of the house.

“Let me go!” She demanded hitting his chest with his fists, but his reluctant grip was too tight.

“Come my little pet, we have to hurry so we can play.” He said huskily in her ear, sending shivers of fear into her inner being. Drawing his revolver, he pointed it at the two women before him. “You two loves, stay right there.” He threatened, drawing Kagome in closer to his chest, then wrapping his free arm around her neck, seductively running his callous hands softly along the delicate skin.

“Please do what he says, I can not bare if something was too happen to you because of me.” She pleaded to Sango and Kaede. “Inuyasha will come for me, you animal.” She snobbishly said to Naraku coldly.

“I do hope so my dear, I would love for you to see his demise; watching your mate, lover die would be very arousing indeed.” He laughed wickedly, and then approached the awaiting horse. He managed to keep a grip on his delicate toy, while hoisting them onto the saddle with her sitting in front of him, still punching and kicking begging to be released.

Inuyasha could see Naraku take Kagome onto his mount. “Kagome!” He screamed and his pace quickened desperately wanting to reach his mate.

Naraku whipped his horse around and now was facing his foe. “Watch my love, watch your lover die.” He whispered in her ear, displaying an evil smirk.

“No! Inuyasha stay away!” She screamed franticly, hoping that her mate would soon stop, not wanting any harm come to him.

Naraku aimed his pistol at the very chest of her lover. “Say goodbye Inuyasha, know this before I kill you, she will be mine and this time you will not be able to retrieve her. See you in Hell!” He said, dripping with malice, holding his prey tighter so she was not able to disrupt his aim; he fired the gun.

“Noooo…! She screamed hysterically as she watched her lover fall to the ground. “Inuyasha!” She repeated his name frantically while a torrent of tears streamed down her face rapidly. She began kicking him, biting him, and trying desperately to escape his demon clutch.

Naraku turned his horse around and headed away from the direction of the battle, knowing that he would have to find a new vessel, before he left the Island. However, breaking her in was his first priority.
