Chapter 2: One hell of a class

Kagome walked into her class greeting the people as she passed by them.

People liked Kagome who cared if she didn't belong to a crowd she didn't care. She was always cool to any type of crowd. She was friends with preps, punks, jocks, stoners, whatever. She didn't understand the whole segregation thing at school. So most people didn't place her in any crowd. Though they only saw her during school never outside. It seemed like she didn't have a life.

Her first period. Calculus 1B ((she is actually the smartest of the school so in this fic she knows math))

Along with Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Jinenji.

She was so preoccupied in her thoughts that she didn't seem to be paying attention. The teacher had called on her at least three times until someone tugged on her hair she turned around to see jinenji pointing in the direction of their teacher who seemed to be a bit annoyed.

"Ms. Higurashi, what is the meaning of your disobidence and lack of hearing. Would you like to come up to the front and tell us what's on your mind?"

~damn that kedoski. He's a good teacher but he can tarnish your life if you don't listen… hmm… think of something quick Kagome~kag

"Mr. Kedoski, I was only thinking of the competition coming up we are still one chair short and I am stressing in trying to find a replacement. Since Koharu left I feel that there is no one to replace her."-kag

"That is true… well we'll speak after class about it that reminds me those who are on the decathalon team stay after so we can discuss this problem." He turned to Kagome" don't worry Higurashi, we'll have this straightened out. Not to worry" he turned around the board and continued the lesson.

After class they all stayed and made a decision that one of the back up chairs would be chosen of course by a vote by all of the members on the team and the final vote by the advisor of the team.

The rest of her classed passed without a breeze. Being a junior had some advantages. At least you get a full sized locker this time not a small portion of one where you had no room to place all of your books in. she was happy that she got a full locker that meant that she wouldn't have as much back problems as she had in the past from carrying all those books in her pack.

~lets see what class is next .~ she looked at her schedule and noticed that she had p.e ~yes finally a class where I can release my stress.~

She was inside of the girls locker room and was changing. She had a pretty normal day until she heard her voice. Kikyou her number one enemy. She didn't understand why she was always nice to Kikyou it's just one day Kikyou's attitude change and started to pick on Kagome ever since then.

Kagome couldn't believe that she had class with her

~ughh that's it I officially hate this class. This was suppose to be the class where I could relieve stress. Now this is going to be a class that brings stress.~

Kagome walked outside and walked over to the archery area grabbed a bow and started to string it so that it would be the right match for her strength.

During p.e you would be able to work on what you did best. Since Kagome was Captain of the Martial Arts team she was given leniency on what she did during the class. She always chose Archery since it's what she did best. Even though she could do much more. But no one else needed to know about that.

She pulled back the arrow and fired. An inch away from the target. ~damn~

She was about to bring another arrow until a shot was made from behind her hitting bulls-eye. She turned around to only see kikyou smiling.

"What the hell do you want"-kag

"now now what a little mouth on our dear captain. It isn't very lady like."-kik

"well what do you want can't you see that' I'm busy."-kag

kikyo started to advance towards her swaying her hips side to side trying to gather as much eyes as she could the archery field wasn't that far from the hand to hand area. She just loved to gather all the attention of the boys.

"give it up. Just hand over the title to Inuyasha he deserves it more than you do."-kik

"look if he was offered it then I would gladly resigned but coach Mayose decided that I should have it. So I am going to keep it. Got it. Now that we have that cleared up go somewhere else and practice your moves on someone else."-kag. With that she started to walk away she was about a good 30 feet away from kikyou.

that earned a couple of oohhs in the crowd. If there was one thing about kikyou she hated to be embarrassed especially by a nobody like kagome. With out knowledge of what she was doing she pulled back an arrow and fired at Kagome.

Kagome could feel something behind her as she turned around she noticed the arrow coming full speed. She had no time to duck it she just had to use her powers even if it was in front of everyone.

Kagome raised her arm and the second the arrow came within inches of her face she caught it.

At this point everyone was staring at her with their eyes wide open and their jaws hung low.

~shit why did I just do that. Dammit now everyone is going to talk.~

No one said a word until coach Mayose broke the silence.

"what is everyone gawking at. Every archer knows how to do this know get back to practicing or else everyone here has double time practicing tomorrow." Everyone shook their heads upon hearing the news and shrugged it off and walked back to practice. "kikyou start practicing and don't do that again or else your off the team. Kagome meet me in my office after class."

~damn that was close. Fucking kikyou. That bitch is going to pay~kag

it was easy for Kagome to get revenge. During the end of class when the boys started to retreat to the lockers to change and take a shower that's when kikyou would show off. So Kagome thought that it would be funny to get her back at her own game.

As kikyou was showing off her aim. Kagome pulled back an arrow and fired the arrow caught her sweater and yanked it off clean as a whistle. Now everyone could see that she wore a cute read laced bra that had a massive amount of padding.

Kikyou ran away horrified. When kagome noticed that her plan succeeded she hummed while making her way to the coaches office.

"that wasn't necessary was it?"-coach

"she deserved it she almost killed me back there."-kag

"now you know as well as I do that you can catch that with your eyes closed." He knew about her and her other talents he just didn't understand why she decided to hide them from the outside world.

Coach Mayose knew her since birth he trained her as she was growing up she soon passed his teachings and he sent her to other dojo's and shrines that he knew would teach the girl that he couldn't.

He always saw her as the little girl that could barely pick up a sword. Now what he saw was a young woman that could slice off a persons head with a bamboo shoot.

"look the next competition is in about a month so I need you to hold tryouts for slots and rankings. I'll set up a meeting in the next couple of days but be sure that you have your second in command when you make the decisions. Even though you two don't agree on much at least try to stay civil."-coach "you remember the last time that you didn't get your way."

"What are you talking about I don't know such thing." She clearly knew what he was speaking of.

She was away 2 summers ago, training at one of the shrines somewhere in Okinawa. The master asked for two of the best in each category. She was the best in almost every category so she was only allowed to choose one. She chose sword techniques. The request of the master was to put on a show for him they had one hour to choose a routine. While she and her partner were working they had an argument that turned into a fight. Of course she being the best she almost took off his arm if it wasn't for the master that intervened. From that day forth she decided to stick to one category being archery. That way you didn't have to fight anyone.

"you nearly took off his arm Kagome."-coach

"if your talking about that summer it was his fault it told him I would take of his arm."-kag

"well if you do anything like that I am taking you out myself. I may be an old man but remember I was the one who taught you. So don't think that I taught you all of my tricks."-coach

Kagome saw the seriousness in his face and started to laugh

"okay. I will cooperate. But make sure his popularity doesn't get way over his head."-kag

"good. Now that is settled your grandfather called and told me about the meeting that you is being held at the shrine."-coach

"yeah I know I think that ima just get some of my students to demonstrate something. Sango agreed to showing her boomerang. I think I'll get kanna and kagura to do hand to hand."-kag

"why don't you do something Kagome?"-coach

Him asking that question made her uneasy she hated doing those kinds of things. She would rather teach.

"how many times do we have to go through this you know I hate doing those exhibition things."-kag

"okay I was just suggesting it you know. It looks like you are getting a little rusty that's all."-coach

This totally appalled her. How dare he say that she is getting rusty.

"it's more like you old man. I could take you out in a matter of seconds."-kag

A challenge. No she was indeed his best pupil. She was barely 16 when she started to train others.

~look how much she's grown. A master in almost all categories. My has the time flown by.~-coach

"yo. Coach snap out of happy-land."-kag

"right. I will be stopping by the shrine later on tell you grandfather that. And tell him that I will drop the swords of as well."-coach

"right well I wont be home till 8 cause I have to go see Kaede."-kag

"well then you better hurry." He went to his desk and pulled out a pass signed it and handed it to her." Here you might need this."-coach

She looked at it then smile "thanks coach see you later"

Classed went by with a breeze. She meet with the decathalon team at lunch and decided on who the replacement was going to be. Her name was Ami ((from sailor moon)). They thought about sango but she refused saying that she was only on the team cause she needed the extra curricular activities.

Finally last class was just around the corner. Fifty more minutes in this hell hole called high school and she would be free.

While she was heading inside the class she heard her name called out along with a few obscene gestures that were headed her way. She turned around to only see Very pissed of Kikyou.

"you stupid bitch I know you did that at P.E." steam was definitely rolling off of her head. " you are so going to pay for that Higurashi."-kik

"my, my, what foul language."-kag . She tried to keep her anger within her.

" Don't you even dare. Do you know what you did you ruined my clothes half of the school saw me in my bra-"-kik she was cut off by Kagome

" Look, you tard… you almost killed me back there kay. What you got back there is nothing compared to what I should of done to you. I took it easy on you."-kag

" Shut up don't make me kick your ass bitch. Sango's not here to protect you. You're nothing but a loser, a freak that has no friends."-kik

That struck a bad cord with Kagome. Her eyes were turning from a cool blue to a fiery dark purple haze. She breathed in deep and relaxed calming her self down. That was the last thing she needed was for her anger to go hay-wire.

" just Leave Kikyou you don't know what you're getting yourself into." Kagome was turning around when she felt something different in the air. She felt pressure that was coming just like she felt when the arrow was about to hit.

Kagome quickly dodged Kikyou's fist catching it in the palm of her hand.

She quickly released the fist and kicked Kikyou in the side. Causing Kikyou to fall and hit the floor hard.

She couldn't believe that what happened ~shit almost lost it back there~. Kagome grabbed Kikyou off the ground to stand her up.

"I thought I told you to leave now look what you've done."-kag

Kikyou was just in utter awe. ~ How the hell did she notice that. Oh well she's not going to dodge this one.~

Kikyou grabbed Kagomes hair spun her around and kicked her in the back causing her to fly into the lockers. Kagome being so agile she kicked herself off the locker doing a backflip and landing in the back of kikyou.

Kagome tapped the should of Kikyou so she could turn around.

Everyone was in awe.

"what the hell is going on here?"-sango asked as the A crowd was walking and they saw a group of people crowding in front of their last class.

The boy responded "Kagome and Kikyou are fighting."

"What the fuck man Kikyou is going to kick Kagomes ass."-Inuyasha

"fuck."-san

"what's the matter baby"-mir

"I have to stop Kagome."-san

"don't worry let the nurse take care of her after the fight"-mir

"no you don't understand Kag could kill Kikyou."-san

"what?"-mir

"nevermind. People move out of the Fucking way." She tried to plow through. No help, "Inuyasha can you please?"

Inuyasha was still trying to figure out was Sango was talking about. Kagome hurt someone. That was a riot she barely could hurt a fly.

"oOo right. HEY" his voice boomed "OUTTA THE FUCKING WAY" the crowd spread like the red sea. So that they could pass

Back at the fight Kikyou was pretty much bloody while Kagome had a few Scratches.

Kik had kicked kag on her right side of the torse. Kag caught kik's leg smashing her left elbow into her thing. Still holding her leg Kag kicked Kik in the head with her left foot ((I hope that you are understanding this))

This caused Kikyou to fall. Kagome was about to pounce on Kikyou, but sango got a hold of her first.

"Kagome. Are you in there it's me Sango, come back to me." It seemed that Kagome was fighting Sango but hearing her voice brought Kagome back to the land of the living. " Come on Kag I know your in there."

Kagome felt her body go limp and she blacked out.

Principal Nubunga entered in on the scene. "what happened here?"

"Uhh you see Kagome and Kikyou got caught entering through the door and their book bags got caught and while they were struggling to get free the pulled to hard and Kikyou ran into the lockers causing Kagome to follow so pretty much they are out cold."-Sango

"oh. Well get back to class take these two to the nurses office."- prin. Nun. Thank god he was almost blind so he didn't see the damage that was inflicted on Kikyou.

The rest of the A crowd was literally shocked at the site of two girls lying on the floor.

"what the hell happened here?"-mir

"nothing babe."-san

"nothing? Look at those two. Man kikyou got it bad."-mir

"Your not helping."-san

suddenly a boy bent down and checked the pulse of Kikyou

"She's alive."-kouga

"well of course she is, Kouga can you take her to The nurses office for me?"-san

"yeah no prob what about Kagome?"-kouga

"don't worry I got her."-san

Kouga picked up Kikyou and headed towards the nurses office.

"Inuyasha can you take her to coach mayose's office?"-san

"umm shouldn't we take her to the nurses office?"-inu

"just trust me okae."-san

"feh. Whatever."-inu

he scooped her up bridal style. Sango following behind they made their way to the office. When Mayose opened the door he saw Kagome unconscious.

"did she fight again?"-coach

"yup."-san

"alright. Sango come with me to the front office so we can get her what she needs. Inuyasha you can just lie her down on the table over there." He was pointing to a long table with a sheet on it. Inuyasha nodded and placed her down. He was about to walk away when Mayose got his attention. "Inuyasha can you just watch her for a couple of minutes."

"umm…"-inu

"don't worry about your last class I'll get that covered."-coach

"okay. Just hurry back. This might hurt my rep."-inu

Sango just sighed, Coach chuckled a little and they headed out the door.

Inuyasha just looked at her and wondered what happened to her. He never knew Kagome like this she was always the sweet girl. He leaned into her noticing the angelic glow to her face. Leaning closer he smelt something different about her. Indeed her scent was the same yet in a way different.

He came closer. He couldn't pin-point what the smell was. He was merely a few centimeters away from her face when she woke up.

She looked into a pair of golden orbs. Shit that freaked her out. She pushed him away and kicked her self off the table into a back flip causing to kick him in the process with both feet. Landing with both feet planted firmly in the ground. One leg behind her while the front was in front out both hands up to her side in a fighting stance position.

((think of a lounge with the legs. And her arms like a charlies angel pose.))

Inuyasha just couldn't believe what happened. He looked into her eyes. Something was different about those eyes. ~wait their purple but her eyes are crystal blue.~

She had not moved it's like she was stuck in that position. Inuyasha thought she was stuck so he moved in closer reaching out a hand to help her. Instinct came over her. She kicked the hand and gave him on good kick to the chest. As he fell her heard the door open when he got up to his feet he noticed Kagome was already gone.

Luckly for kagome Mayose and Sango was one their way when they saw Kagome dash outside of the office they caught up with her and performed the ritual. Soon she was back to her normal self. Feeling groggy but not remembering anything of the events that happened.

On the other hand Inuyasha was still confused at what happened. When Sango returned she would have to provide answers.
