Serenity, a young demon as you read in the character descriptions, was walking in the forest. While she was walking she noticed something peculiar about a certain tree. She quickly walked up to it to see that the tree was emitting a dark energy. She hesitantly walked around the tree to see if she could find where it was coming from. She went around the whole tree and she still couldn't find where it was coming from. The energy was not just emitting from that one tree but from the others around it. Serenity jumped out of the way as soon as she saw one of the branches break off.

 

`If I don't find where this energy is coming from this whole forest will be destroyed!' Serenity thought as she regained her composer.

 

She stretched her arms forward and her hands were starting to glow a faint pink. The energy from her hands shot toward the trees that were slowly dieing from the dark energy. The blast hit the trees but it did nothing at all…or so anybody would think. Serenity was actually communicating with the trees. She normally wouldn't have done it this way, but it was the only way she could without getting hit with the trees.

 

`Tell me where this energy is coming from so I can help you!' Serenity said to the tree. No response.

 

`Please tell me. I can help you!' She said to the tree desperately.

 

`The…trunk…' the tree said slowly and painfully.

 

Serenity lowered her arms and ran towards the tree. Branches were falling everywhere and she had to dodge all of them. She finally reached the tree and fell on her knees. She crawled around and finally found the spot. She rested one of her hands on the trunk and it glowed a slight pink. The energy slowly disappeared and then there was a bright flash. Serenity collapsed on the ground in a faint. In her hand was a jewel that was once black but turned bright pink once in her hand.

“Sho…what was that bright flash?” Asuka asked looking in the direction Serenity was. Sho and Asuka were flying over the forest looking for Serenity.

 

“I don't know. Lets go check it out. Hang on tight” Sho said turning in the direction of the light.

 

They landed with a soft `thump' by the tree Serenity was saving. Asuka slowly slid off of Sho and walked cautiously around. They saw all the damaged trees and wondered what had happened.

 

“Whoa…Serenity won't want to see this.” Asuka said quietly walking over to Sho.

 

“You can say that again.” Sho replied grabbing the little neko's hand.

 

“Whoa…Serenity won't want to see this.” Asuka said…again.

 

“I didn't mean for you to say it again!” Sho yelled quietly.

 

“Then why did you tell me to?” Asuka asked with an innocent look in her eyes.

 

“I was being…oh never mind. You're so impossible.” Sho replied letting go of her hand and walking away.

 

“Am not.” Asuka said angrily

 

“Are to.” Sho said calmly not bothering to look at her.

 

“I am not impossible!” Asuka shrieked.

 

“Than what are you?” Sho asked as she turned around. She had this evil look in her eyes.

 

“A neko yokai.” Asuka said indignantly crossing her arms.

 

“That's not what I meant.” Sho said as she did an anime sweat drop.

 

Asuka and Sho decided to look around to see if they could find any clues to what made that flash of light.

 

“Sho come here quick!” Asuka shrieked.

 

“What is it?” Sho asked running over.

 

“Look. Its Serenity!” Asuka cried as she, well, started to cry.

 

“Asuka calm down. She's all right. That flash was probably her using all of her energy…again.” Sho explained to a crying Asuka.

 

“Oh…okay.” Asuka said as she slowly stopped crying.

 

“Huh…where am I?” Serenity asked quietly as she woke up.

 

“You're in a forest.” Sho said helping her stand up.

 

“What happened?” Asuka asked latching on to Serenity's waist.

 

“I honestly don't remember. All I can think of was I was trying to save this forest by getting rid of the dark energy that was emitting from that tree.” Serenity explained pointing to the tree she was laying by.

 

“Well let's go get to a village so you can get some rest.” Sho said flaring her wings out.

 

“Alright.” Serenity replied getting on Sho's back.

 

“What about me?” Asuka whined.

 

“I'll carry you in my arms.” Sho said picking her up bridal style.

 

“Okay. Just don't drop me.” Asuka said looking up at Sho as she took off flying towards the nearest village.
