“Are you sure it was in this direction?” Inuyasha asked crossing his arms.

 

Inuyasha and the group appeared in the same spot that Serenity was in before Sho flew her and Asuka away to a village.

 

“Yes I know I felt it…it just disappeared!” Kagome yelled at Inuyasha.

 

“Well it can't just disappear!” Inuyasha yelled back.

 

“I know that…but then where did it go?” Kagome asked her self.

 

“Don't feel so down Kagome.” Miroku stated putting a hand on Kagome's shoulder.

 

“Inuyasha is just mad. It's not your fault.” Sango said petting Kirara (Kilala).

 

“Besides he's the one who slowed us down by eating ramen.” Shippo said grinning.

 

“Shut up, Shippo!” Inuyasha yelled hitting Shippo on the head.

 

“Ouch! Kagome, Inuyasha hit me!” Shippo cried running to Kagome's arms.

 

Kagome comforted Shippo a little before turning towards Inuyasha.

 

“Inuyasha…” Kagome started.

 

“What?” Inuyasha asked angrily.

 

“Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, SIT!” Kagome yelled out.

 

Inuyasha felled down in a face plant. As the result, there was a giant hole in the ground. Everyone except Kagome ran to the hole a looked down to see a certain inu youkai face first in the ground.

 

“Thanks Kagome.” Shippo said cheerfully.

 

“You're welcome. Wait I sense a jewel shard!” Kagome said excitedly.

 

“Where Kagome?” Miroku asked hopeful.

 

“This way!” Kagome said running in the direction Sho went flying off.

 

“Lets go Kirara!” Sango yelled as Kirara transformed into her giant cat form.

 

“Wait for me!” Inuyasha yelled as the spell wore off and chasing after them.

“Where here.” Sho said as she landed at the edge of the village.

 

Asuka gently jump down from Sho's arms and started to run around. Serenity slid down Sho's back as Sho was folding her wings in. Being weak as she was, Serenity swayed and almost fell down.

 

“Serenity!” Sho shrieked as she caught the falling inu.

 

“I guess I'm weaker then I feel.” Serenity said with half of a laugh.

 

“We need to bring you to an Inn.” Asuka said with a worried look.

 

“For a demon who's 130 years old (13 years old in our years) you sure act like you're 70 (7).” Sho asked grabbing Asuka's hand and having Serenity lean against her as they walked.

 

“Demons! Everyone run! There are demons here!” Some woman yelled as they walked through the gates.

 

“Wait, don't run! We won't hurt you!” Serenity yelled as she tried to run forward but collapsed in pain.

 

“Looks like one of them is hurt!” another person yelled.

 

“Serenity! What's wro-? Oh my god!” Sho shrieked as she saw a huge gash that has opened across her stomach.

 

Asuka ran over to see what was wrong and when she saw the gash she started crying. Blood was pouring everywhere around her. Sho was trying her best to put as much pressure as she could on the wound to stop it bleeding but it was having no effect. Sho was practically covered in blood.

 

“Serenity, you're hurt!” Asuka said between wails.

 

“The little one is crying! They're defenseless! Lets get them!” a man yelled charging towards them.

 

No one saw this, but Sho was crying. Sho never cried. Not even when she saw her whole clan die right before her eyes. But she did cry when she first met Serenity…

 

~*~Flash Back~*~

 

“Sho run! Run and get out of here!” Sho's mother yelled at the 120 (12) year old bat demon.

 

Sho took off running as soon as she heard her dieing mothers orders. Sho looked behind her to see the place she once called home on fire and full of blood. When she looked in front of her she saw the demons that had destroyed her home. She skidded to a halt.

 

“Get away from me!” Sho screamed angrily.

 

“A feisty one aren't you?” one of the demons said grabbing her arm.

 

“Lets keep this one. She can provide us with some entertainment.” Another said licking his lips eagerly.

 

“Let me go!” Sho yelled as she kicked at the demon how was holding her.

 

The demon replied by throwing her into a tree. When Sho stood up she tried to unfold her wings by one of them seemed to be broken.

 

“Ouch!” Sho cried out in pain.

 

“Lets have some fun with her before we kill her.” A third demon said getting closer with a look of lust in his eyes.

 

“Stay away from me!” she yelled as she tried to run but the second demon grabbed her by the hair.

 

“You can't escape us so why don't you be a good girl and come play with us?” he said.

 

“Never.” Sho said turning slightly and spitting in his face.

 

“Why you…” the demon said throwing her onto the ground in front of the other two demons.

 

“I'll hold her down.” The first one said as he grabbed her wrist and put them over her head. The second one grabbed her feet and the third one was standing over her.

 

“Now be a good girl and cooperate and we promise to kill you so you won't feel any pain.” The third one said.

 

“No stop!!!” Sho yelled desperately but did not cry.

 

The third one was just about to dive in when he was killed from behind with a arrow going threw his back and into his heart.

 

“What the?” the second demon yelled as he looked up to see a young female demon about Sho's age hiding in the shadows.

 

“You are going to pay for that!” the first demon yelled charging at the girl.

 

The girl took out two arrows and shot them both at the demons. Both of the arrows hit them in the heart and died in an instant. Sho was slightly frightened about this girl who was practically a master archer. The girl slowly came out of the shadows and Sho noticed that this girl is a Dog demon.

 

“Stay away from me!” Sho screamed as tears started to well up in her eyes but not letting them fall.

 

“It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you.” The girl said running over to pull Sho into a hug.

At that very point Sho wrapped her arms around her and cried her eyes out.

 

“It's okay. They're not going to harm you.” The girl said rubbing Sho's back affectionately, but hit Sho's broken wing by accident.

 

“Ouch!” Sho cried in pain.

 

“Oh my! Your wing is broken!” the girl cried running around behind Sho to look at it.

 

“I'm Sho.” Sho whispered but the girl didn't seem to hear her.

 

“What?” the girl asked.

 

“I'm Sho. A bat demon and I'm 120 years old.” Sho replied.

 

“Well I'm Serenity. A dog demon and I'm also 120.” The girl said wrapping up the damaged wing.

 

“Um…do you have any extra clothes?” Sho asked embarrassingly.

 

“Yep! Hold on.” Serenity said getting up and running over to the tree she was at. She came back holding a bundle of blue and black clothing.

 

“Here you go.” Serenity said handing the clothes to Sho.

 

“They're to big.” Sho said holding them up.

 

“No they're not. Those clothes were made up of magic fabric. They can fit into any size, shape, or form of the user.” Serenity replied.

 

“Cool.” Sho said as she started to put the clothes on (The clothes are what she's wearing now). The clothes formed to her body and even made slits in the back for her wings.

 

“See?” Serenity asked.

 

“This is so cool! Thank you so much!” Sho exclaimed running to Serenity and holding her.

 

“Where's your home?” Serenity asked.

 

“…” Silence.

 

“Oh my…I'm so sorry.” Serenity said tears welding up in her eyes.

 

“It's okay…I didn't like my home any way. They were always treating me like a child and never letting me do anything! I hate my clan!” Sho yelled angrily.

 

“I know how you feel. I left my home too,” Serenity said standing up, “Lets stick together and be partners wherever we go.”

 

“Okay,” Sho replied standing up, “Lets watch each other's back from now on.”

 

And from that day forward they watched each other's back and made sure each other was all right. They stayed together threw thick and thin and never had been separated.

 

~*~End Flash Back~*~

 

“Stay away from us! We are not bad!” Sho screamed with tears coming down.

 

“S-Sho…don't hurt them…please…for me…” Serenity whispered before she fainted.

 

“Serenity! Wake up! Please don't die!” Asuka screamed holding on to Serenity.

 

Sho was restraining herself as much as she could from attacking the villagers that were coming closer. They were coming closer and closer and Sho couldn't do a thing to stop them. She had promise never to harm a human unless Serenity thought it was needed to, but to Sho this was a time to.

 

“Sho do something!” Asuka wailed trying to wake Serenity up.

 

“We have to leave…” Sho whispered.

 

“What?” Asuka cried.

 

“We have to leave!” Sho cried out as tears came down.

 

Sho picked up Serenity and threw her on her back and grabbed Asuka's hand. They ran and ran but one of the villagers had a bow and arrow set and shot one in Sho's shoulder and she collapsed in pain.

 

“Asuka…take Serenity and run…I know you're strong enough to pick her up…leave me and go!” Sho said threw gasped of pain.

 

“No I won't leave you behind! I'll die with you if I need to!” Asuka said throwing her arms around Sho's neck.

 

“No you must go! Leave now!” Sho yelled at her.

 

“No I won't leave you!” Asuka cried.

 

Sho flung her arms around Asuka and cried with her knowing the end is near. The archers were raising their bows and were ready to strike. Sho and Asuka braced themselves for their death when they heard footsteps running up to them. The person, they soon realized that it was a girl, stopped right in front of the three girls and the girl raised her arms as if trying to protect them.

 

“Leave them alone! They didn't do any thing to you!” the girl shouted a t the villagers.
