It was dusk when they had arrived at the castle. They had only spoken once the whole time and that was when Sesshomaru told Kirara that Jaken and Rin remained at his own castle. Sesshomaru landed them outside two large doors where a cheetah demon waited for them. He bowed when he saw Sesshomaru.

"My lord. Kai-sama has asked that you meet him in the dinning hall. If you'll please follow me," he said.

Sesshomaru nodded. The cheetah led Sesshomaru and Kirara to a large dinning room. He bowed.

"Kai-sama! Sesshomaru-sama has arrived," he said.

"Very well Macoll. Leave," Kai said.

Macoll left the room. Kai stood. Kirara notice he was a regular neko demon. He was older with gray hair and a gray tail around his waist. He had cat slit eyes that were blue. He smiled.

"Welcome, Sesshomaru. And who might this lovely creature be?" Kai asked.

"This is Kirara. She'll be staying with me," Sesshomaru said.

He glared daring anyone to ask about her. He was in no mood. Kai turned to Kirara.

"Welcome, Kirara. I'm Kai." He said.

Kirara bowed.

"I was wondering. You smell like a neko demon but slightly altered. Why so?" Kai asked.

Kirara looked to Sesshomaru. Seeing he wasn't going to answer she spoke.

"I'm a fire neko, my lord," she said.

Everyone in the room gasped. Sesshomaru had brought a fire neko. Kirara looked at him thinking she had done something wrong.

"Well, well. It is a rare treat to have a fire neko visit my halls. I hope you find your stay enjoyable. May I introduce my mate, Kyra, and my son, Kjell. The Lord and Lady of the Eastern Lands, Ryu and Ellia, and their daughter, Kali, and the Lord and Lady of the Northern Lands, Ali and Felicia, and their son Graiger, and their twin daughters, Helena and Christie. Helena is the one in red and Christie the one in white." Kai said.

Kirara bowed to each in turn. Kyra had orange hair and an orange tail with green eyes, also a neko. Her son, Kjell, had her hair and eyes but his father's features. Ryu, Ellia, and Kali were dragons. They had a dark green, almost black, hair color, red eyes, like Kirara's, and green-scaled dragon wings. Kali almost looked exactly like her mother. And Ali, Felicia, Graiger, Helena, and Christie were bear demon. All had brown hair and brown eyes, and they each had three black stripes on their faces and wrists. Graiger looked like his father and the twins looked like their mother. All the females had seven-layered kimono's on, (A/N Think Inuyasha's mother) and the males had simple kimono's on like Sesshomaru's.

"Please come and sit down," Kai said.

Kyra sat at Kai's left and Kjell at his right. Kirara was seated between Kjell and Sesshomaru and Sesshomaru next to her. Kjell took Kirara's hand when she sat and kissed it.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Kirara," Kjell said.

Kirara blushed a pretty pick causing jealousy to rage within Sesshomaru. `Who does that kitten think he is?' he growled in his mind.

"Sesshomaru, I'm afraid we don't have a room close to your own for Kirara to stay in," Kai said.

"She'll stay in mine," Sesshomaru said.

Everyone gave him a look. He growled at them all causing them to advert their eyes. Kirara was a little redder at the mention of staying in the same room as Sesshomaru. Considering what happened that last time they met. Dinner began.

Sesshomaru addressed Kai about the lesser lords coming tomorrow. The ladies sat to one side, being the opposite Kirara was on, and talked about any old thing. While the lords talked about how their lands were fairing. The children struck up conversations of their own. Bragging about this and that. The only ones who remained silent were Kirara and Kjell. The latter stealing quick glances at the former. Kirara blushed.

"May I help you, Kjell-san?" Kirara asked.

"Just admiring your beauty," Kjell whispered.

Kirara got redder, "Was there something interesting about my being a fire neko?"

Kjell smiled, "Unfortunately, fire nekos have become quite rare. So my father has declared them a higher form of demon to be protected by others and admired for beauty. Hence my pervious statement. Although, you do have a beauty even a Kami could envy. I could lose myself in you," Kjell said.

Kirara made a good impression of a tomato. Sesshomaru heard the last sentence and nearly growled. The said growl almost escaping his lips when he briefly looked at Kirara and saw her redder than her eyes. `Pushing your luck kitten,' Sesshomaru thought. Sure he didn't formally claim her but he was one of the first to take her innocence. He had seniority rights to her. The whelp could go play with his scratching post for all Sesshomaru cared. On this trip, Kirara belonged to him and him alone. (A/N Possessive much?)

Soon dinner ended and all retired to their rooms. Kirara stared at the one bed before Sesshomaru disappeared in the other room for changing. Kirara transformed to her chibi form and lay down on the rug next to the bed. She was dozing of when she felt someone pick her up. Sesshomaru, in a bed gown, held her by the back of her neck in front of his face.

"If you insist in sleeping in that form you can at least use the pillows," he said before dropping hr on said pillow and laying his head next to her and falling asleep.
