InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ A Heart's Battle Against the Darkness ❯ Hope ( Chapter 6 )
Damian awoke to find Amrais gone, which didn't suprise him. He had become acustomed to her nightly disappearances. It was still dark, but luckily there was a hint of a full moon behind the clouds. Damian gathered his clothes and dressed. He knew he should tell Amaris he was leaving, but he needed to hurry. Damian thankful for the clouded noght, flew into the air and disapeared from sight.
"Kagome! I'm sure it'll be alright. In fact, there's someone who visited us earlier that may be able to tell you what's happening."
"Who Inuyasha? Why didn't you tell me about a visitor earlier?"
"Well, I came looking for you to tell you, but I got disrsacted."
"Is this person demon or human Inuyasha?"
"Neither. It's really complicated, so you might want to get dressed so we can talk with her."
Before Amaris walked back into the clearing, she knew that Damian had left. His presence was farther and farther away with each second. She stopped in her tracks as she felt other people nearby. People she missed and needed to see. Amaris ran towards the direction her and Damian had come when they arrived. As Amaris exited the woods, she saw a welcomed sight. Her other three sisters were coming over the hill on horse back along with the horses Damian and Amaris had been using. Amaris looked at her sisters, each different in looks and personality.
Dara was the eldest of her sisters. She had power over the waters. Her hair was an odd blue-green and her eyes were a deep and dark blue. She was kind and genorous, but when angered she became a fierce fighter. She was only a year younger than Amaris, so she had memories of their family before the tragedy. Then there was Eithne, with control over fire and light. She had crimson hair, and fierc oarnge eyes. She had a fierce attitude and angered quickly. Finally there was Alila, the young and soft spoken one. Her hair was so light and silver, it was hardly visible in daylight, but in moonlight shone brightly. She hardly ever spoke two words, and could control the wind.
'If only Radella could see her now. He'd be proud'
Amaris's heart ached as she thought about her brother. However, her sorrow filled moment didn't last. Eithne jumped off of her horse and ran up to Amaris, smothering her with a hug. Amaris returned the embrace to her sister, bu then Eithne let go and stared at Amrais.
"Something's wrong, what is it?"
"Damian left. Don't worry, he's just going to find out the truth."
Alila looked at her sister with concern before closing her eyes. The wind was blowing directly at her and her eyes shot open in anger.
"Alila, what is it?" Dara asked.
Amaris closed her eyes as well and instantly knew what was wrong.
"Death, hatred, anger. That's what the wind's telling her." Amaris replied.
"That's not the only thing Amaris. I smell someone who I don't think you will be happy to see." Alila said.
"Kali. " Amaris spoke, her voice drenched in anger.
