Damien stood on a hilltop looking at the monastary where his past awaited him. The cold mountain wind blew through his hair as he stood waiting for an unknown reason. He felt as if he should have stayed with Amaris, but he had no inclination as to why. He knew that he had to discover his past before it was too late. He was about to move down the hill when he heard a heartbeat behind him. He turned and saw a very familiar figure, but he didn't know where he had seen her before. She was amazingly beautiful with hair that was a deeper red than that of Amaris. Her skin was extremly(sp?) pale and her eyes were a deep amber. He noticed tht she was just as tall as he was and she was dressed in a creamy, white dress that clung tightly to her body, but flowed out after her waist.

"Who are you?" he managed to ask. He shivered as she smiled gracefully.

"I am the only one who can help you Damian." Her voice was enchantingly beautiful, but nothing like the one of the maiden from his dreams.

"Tell me exactly who you are." he demanded.

"It is a shame that you have no trust left Damain, but I will tell you. I am Vesta, Guardian of the Sacred White Fire. I am a key part of your past and was sent by the Heavens to guide you."

He was reluctant to believe her but felt the urge deep down to do so. He looked away from her and flew back into the air towards the monastary. Before following him, Vesta shook her head in despair.

"I hope he figures out his destiny before Amaris falls into Kali's trap." She stated aloud to her unseen companion that had hidden himself from Damian.

"My son is smarter than people have given him credit for." a man spoke.

"I hope you are correct." Vetsa answered.

She closed her eyes and vanished into thin air. Within a few short moments, Damian stood before the wooden doors of the monastary. He was silently debating whether or not he should enter the holy place since he was a creature of the darkness. He had successfully done it before which was due to his soul, but he was afraid to risk it again. Suddenly Vesta appeared next to him and he eyed her suspicously. Vesta stepped up to the door and knocke don it a few times before it slowly opened. Damian was unable to see who stood behind the door, but Vesta spoke to whomever it was.

"I am Vetsa, this is Damian and we need to see the ancient scrolls."

Damian was shocked at her commanding voice, but he mentally slapped himself for being shocked about anything. The door was opened completely and Vesta motioned for Damian to enter first. Immediately several monks stepped up to him to stare in awe. They knew exactly who he was and were amazed that they were able to have met him. Damian was unsure of what to think about their silent gazes. An elderly monk stepped forward and asked them to follow him. Vesta and Damian followed him through a series of long hallways until they came to a vast library. Damian smirked knowning that Amaris would have given anything to have read the scrolls and books held in the large room.

"You may use any of the texts that you need. We are proud to be of service to you."

With that the monk left them there alone. Damian didn't know where to start, but Vesta showed him several texts that were solely about Amaris' life. Damian sat down at a large desk and began to read about the tragedies she had faced. Several hours later he saw his name mentioned for the first time.

Inuyasha walked out of the forest with Kagome only to find more strange women having an argument with Amaris. He told Kagome to wait for him and he ran over to the women to find out what was going on.

"Are you insane Amaris?! Kali will surely be waiting for you."

"I have to go Eithne. That bitch deserves to die and I am sick of waiting around. She killed our parents, turned our brother against us, killed Leyna, then did that to Damian!"

"Without Gaia we can't defeat Kali. We also need Damian."

Inuyasha stood watching as Amaris and a young elf with coppery hair argued. He saw two others shaking their heads at the pair. Amaris turned to look at him ,but she wasn't exactly thrilled to see him.

"Inuyasha, I see you've chosen my sister as your mate."

"You don't know for sure that she's your sister." He answered.

"I am now more sure than ever before. I can sense her aura now. Has there been a change in her physical appearance since my arrival?"

"Yeah, but how did you know that?"

"It's what caused us to find her." This time Alila spoke.

"Who are you people?"

Amaris was about to answer him when she grabbed her head in pain. She fell to her knees in agony as a vision came to her. She closed her eyes as images flashed through her mind. When they were gone she opened her eyes in utter shock and disbelief. Dara had her arms wrapped around Amaris, holding her shaking sister and mentor.

"What did you see sister?" She softly asked.

"Radella. He's back, but that's impossible unless..."

"Unless it's a damn trap Amaris."

"Hold your tongue Eithne." Alila chided.

Inuyasha was about to ask what was happening when Amaris stood up. She brushed herself off and walked to her horse which kneeled before her. There was no saddle so it was kneeling to allow her to get upon its back. It slowly rose once she was secure.

"Where are you going?" Inuyasha asked.

"To fight."

With that she signaled for the horse to break out with all speed. The four watched as she vanished from their sight.

"What did I miss?" Inuyasha asked.

Damian couldn't believe what he was reading. It seemed that he was the first person Amaris had loved after seeing her parents slaughtered. The scrolls talke of him being the one who possessed the white fire, and the one who had opened Amaris' eyes to the truth. She had been struggling with the guilt over the deaths of so many, that she had closed herself off from the world. It then talked of how his mother had loved a high angel when the angels still roamed the earth. It had been forbidden for angels to have children, but Damian was born. Soon after the angels left the earth and returned to the heavens. His father reluctantly left his family as he was told. Damian's mother was harassed and left to die by all that she knew. Then, the queen of elves, Amaris' mother took her in. Damian grew up with Amaris until the day all changed. Not only was Amaris' family killed, but so was Damian's mother. After that day he wondered the earth looking for someone to accept him. Amaris had been that person. Damain looked away from the scroll as all of his memories flashed before him. He looked over at Vesta and frowned.

"I have to warn Amaris."
