My head is pounding, it's as if it wants answers and my brain refuses to give them. It's right before sunset and I'm sitting in a tree. I still don't know why I'm attracted to her…

A lone miko walked down on a winding path that lead to the village of Chijin. The miko had long raven hair tied back into a ponytail with emotionless chocolate brown eyes that looked as though they had stared down the grim reaper and back again. She was wearing a white haori with a red hakama. She remembered the village; it was full of friendly people. She had healed the daughter of the headman and in return the whole village threw a banquet in her honor. She entered the village as quietly as a ghost might stalk its victim she walked to the headman's house and knocked quietly. The headman pushed aside the door flap. “L-l-l-lady Ki-ki-ki-Kikyo?” asked the man quietly his voice thick with fear. “No,” she responded, “I get that a lot and I am a miko. May I and rest and to any sick or injured while I stay.” “Of course madam uh?” the man faltered. “Watarimono,” (A/N Watarimono means wanderer) “Madam Watarimono,” Her voice was smooth like silk and carried no emotion. They walked together to the headman's hut, all unknowing that a certain young man was watching her intently. Before she slipped inside she turned around and said, “I know you're there, do not make me do something that I won't regret later.” She turned around again and slipped her inside. Leaving Kirei to answer the question just who was she.

The memory still made him shudder. “Kikyo,” I sighed. Wait! How did I know that was her name? But she called herself Watarimono. An alias? Maybe. I thought about it then a rush of memories came back into my head. They were all with this woman and a person with silver hair and amber eyes and dog-ears on top of his head. I tried to figure out who this silver-haired person was but I couldn't put a name to his face. I sighed again, now my headache was even worse. I jumped down from the tree and walk into the hut the villagers let me have.
When I finally fell asleep my dreams were filled with Kikyo or Watarimono or whatever she called herself and this mysterious silver-haired person.

When I awoke my headache hadn't subsided. So I decided to talk to Kikyo or Watarimono, she obviously knows me, and the silver-haired person.

Kirei walked to Watarimono's hut and knocked on the wood loudly. She immediately answered the door. She was stunned. That was… “Who am I?” said Kirei. She took a minute to answer. “I don't know who you are,” replied Watarimono. Kirei glared at her for her unhelpful response. “Alright, Kikyo,” She spun around so suddenly that Kirei thought that she must be a top. “How do you know who I really am,” she seethed. “I'll answer your question when you answer mine,” he said confidently crossing his arms in front of his chest. She reached her hand up and touched her hand to his fore head and shocked him with spiritual energy. He reeled back and finally submitted. “Why do I remember you and some silver-haired guy in my memories?” Kirei said angrily. “I don't know who you're talking about,” Kikyo replied. She turned around and walked away. Leaving Kirei open mouthed aghast at her useless and unhelpful remarks.

I stewed on her words for the sum of 2 hours. That's it. I'm going on a journey to find answers. I'll find the silver-haired person and have him tell me who I am. As I was leaving, after I tell the headmen of course. I went and visited the headman and told him of my plans. He warned me it would be a treacherous road filled with demons and bandits and other such complications. He gave me a katana and told me it was his son's. I tried to return it but the headman to no heed.
I gathered up supplies for my journey which included food for about 78 hours, a durable water skin, a hat, and many other niceties. As I walked to the village entrance I was greeted by the headman who wished me farewell. While he was walking away, Kikyo walked up to me and said, “Good luck on your journey. Here” She handed me a bow and arrow. “Don't use it to hunt game, you'll know when and how to use it when the time is right,” she said. And with that turned around and walked away. I looked at her than at the bow and arrow. I had made it about five meters (Japanese people use the metric system so it's in the story live with it and move on) when suddenly, “One more thing,” Kikyo called. I looked at her with an annoyed expression on my face that clearly said “quit wasting my time.” “The silver-haired person's name is Inuyasha.” With that she walked away. My look of shock must have put that triumphant step in her walk. I shook my head in exasperation for all women, and that one in particular. I wanted to go after her wanting more answers, but I knew I wouldn't get any. So onward I went on my search for Inuyasha and answers.
