Higuarshi stood there. Silent tears streaming down her face. She stared at her lovers grave.
Jin Tanaka beloved brother and son. A wonderful lover and a kindhearted soul. Rest in peace we shall never forget you.
Why Jin why? she asked herself silently. Tears continued to stream down her face as she collapsed to her knees. Burying her face in her hands she continued to cry her heart out.
Mama Higuarshi, Souta Higuarshi and Grandpa stood by watching there beloved daughter/grandaughter/sister slowly die from the inside out.
“Oh Kagome,” her mother whispered also crying “You loved each other so much.”
“Jin she’ll always love you like no other,” her Grandpa added silently
“Oh sis,” Souta said trying to fight his own tears but failing miserably
They stayed a few more minutes seeing her cry. They knew she wasn’t going to leave anytime soon so they left her.
She cried for what seemed like hours. Unknown to her a soul in heaven was watching down on her.
“Oh Kagome,” it said “Your hurting so much…”
“I-I have to sto-op this,” she whispered to herself.
Getting up on wobbly legs she started to walk home. Down the streets and up the shrine steps her eyes held no emotion. Sadness had taken away everything. Her eyes they held no life,no love, nothing at all. Those blue orbs were shadows of what used to be.
“Im home,” she announced almost so lowly it was barely heard.
Walking upstairs to her room she shed of her black dress. Searching through her closet she found a pair of black jeans, a black t-shirt, black half-jacket and some black boots. She changed into them, then put her hair up into a high pony-tail. Going to the bathroom she splashed cold water on her face to try and make it appear as if her heart wasn’t slowly breaking.
Drying her face she grabbed some eyeliner and applied it. Walking out of her bathroom she went into her closet and took out a big box. Going over to the bed she opened it.
The box contained a big photo album, a guy’s sweater, some old knicks and knacks and finally a beautiful locket.
The locket was shaped as a big tear drop with thin silver around it. The teardrop was the bluest sapphire ever to be found.
She took the locket delicately and placed it around her neck. She then opened the scrapbook and looked inside.
There was a picture of Jin and Kagome sitting together at the beach, her in his lap. Another one of them in a garden. Page after page they were filled with pictures of them.
Jin…she thought My one true love
Then started to cry at the memories.
-Flashback-
Kagome was sick of it. She was sick of Inuyasha and always going to Kikyou. She was sick of being hurt.
Running to the well she jumped in.
After she appeared on her own side she climbed up. At the top she ran out of the well house and out the shrine to her favourite park. She ran under the Sakura Blossom tree and sat down crying. She cried and cried until a shadow fell over her.
“Well this isn’t a very good thing,” she heard a male voice say “A girl crying is very ominous”
Kagome ignored him. He though sat down in front of her and took her face in his and looked at it.
“Aww man!,” he complained “Those eyes shouldn’t be wasted on tears!”
Kagome couldn’t help herself she giggled.
“That’s what I want to hear!,” the guy exclaimed
“Thankyou,” she whispered
“For what?,” he asked incredulous
“For making me feel a bit better,” she said
“No problem!,” he said “I’m Jin Tanaka”
“Kagome Higuarshi nice to meet you,” she told him.
After that meeting they became inserperable. At first the became very good friends. Great friends. Then those feeling of friendship took a turn and changed to feelings of romance.
After admitting each others feelings to one another they became lovers. They also found out an amazing secret about Kagome.
He was her first everything. She lost her innocence to him, her first kiss to him and her heart.
Life was as good as it got. Until the tragedy. Jin was murdered.
-End of Flashback!- (cry so sad!!)
Kagome cried and cried. This was the worst day of her life. Her heart felt as if it were slowly and painfully being ripped apart. Little by little.
“Jin!,” Kagome cried “Why did you leave me?”
The soul in heaven stared down at her. His heart filled with grieving.
“Oh Kagome my love…” he whispered.
Kagome got up an tried to gain some composure. She took many big wavering breathes to calm herself. She grabbed Jin’s sweater from the box and headed downstairs.
That bastard Inuyasha will be coming for me if I don’t come she thought bitterly.
Grabbing her yellow bag she packed some stuff only SHE was going to need. Some books, Jins sweater, a couple of packages off food alon with her special scepter (more explaination throught sotry) and a first aid kit.
“I’m leaving,” she whispered and headed out to the well house.
Using a hand to sturdy herself against it’s edge she jumped in, blue light engulfing her.
She stared up into the clear blue sky.
Oh Jin, she thought a lone tear running down her face. Climbing up using the vines she saw Sango, Mirokou, Shippou, Kirara, Inuyasha and what in all hell Kikyou there.
Kagome narrowed her eyes dangerously.
Sango finally noticed Kagome had returned and went over to hug but Kagome pushed her away.
“Kagom-” she began
“So Kikyou,” Kagome said venom laced in her voice, “What is the honuor that the dead bitch of a clay pot had graced us with her presence?”
“KAGOME!,” Inuyasha yelled “You will show Kikyou the proper respect she deserves!”
“Respect?,” Kagome repeated it “And why would I do that?”
“Because,” he replied smugly and boastfully, “Kikyou will be traveling with us.When you give her an extra piece of your soul she will help us find shards faster and since shes a better fighter then you this will help us a lot.”
Kagome raised an eyebrow
“And why,” she asked “Would I do that?”
“Because I said so wench” Inuyasha said “I know you love me so if I asked you to give her some of your soul you’ll do it.”
Kagome seethed with anger. She walked up to Inuyasha and slapped him HARD across the face.
“Listen you fucking bastard,” she said new set of tears forming “I’ve never loved you and never will. My love died!My lover he fucking died! And I won’t ever be able to see him again! I wasted my time with him because I spend most of my damn life helping you find those fucking shards!”
“Kagome,” Sango said “Your lover?”
“YES MY LOVER!,” she said with tears streaming down her face “MY lover the one I loved with my heart and soul! The one who was murdered! I could have saved him with my powers if I was there I culd have saved him but no! I was here with that bastard half-breed over there helping him find shards! I have nothing to live for!”
The group stared in shock as there friend continued to cry.
“Well keh,” Inuyasha said “Get over yourself wench he’s dead so what?”
“INUYASHA!,” Sango and Mirokou screamed at him
“You fucking bastard!,” Kagome yelled her aura flaring dangerously high. “You damn bastard! You’ll never be a quarter of the man Jin was! You aren’t even deserving to say his name!” she screamed “That’s it! Go with your dead bitch I’ve had enough of this!”
Kagome grabbed her bag and stood up she ran out of te clearing and into the forest. She was heading to the one place she could be free.
She was heading to the lake.
